No, that’s not what I meant.

My problem is that I do not want the *video* thumbnail to be used as the featured image. For example, the thumbnail on YouTube is becoming the featured image of the blog post when I make it the featured video.

Before, I could add a featured video *and* featured image, and the theme would prioritize whatever photo I uploaded as featured image. Now, even if I add both, it just takes the YouTube thumbnail and makes that the post thumbnail across the site.

How can I switch back to it prioritizing the featured image I designate instead of defaulting to the video’s thumbnail?

So I believe the issue is the plugin jQuery Pin It Button For Images, I deactivated it and the text showed up. With all other plugins de-activated and that one activated, the text went missing. That’s a pretty widely used plugin and one of the most trusted for Pinterest integration, so I’m wondering if there’s a setting workaround for this or I’m going to have to use a completely different plugin for compatibility? Up until last month everything worked smoothly (and I’ve been using this plugin since the beginning of my website) so I’m not sure what has changed?

My developer fixed the responsiveness but the text is still not showing unless I disable JQuery, though I need that plugin and it’s one of the more trusted pin-it plugins. I write paragraphs of text under each H title tag in the smart list and they’re not showing up.

I’m getting a notice that there’s an update to visual composer… my developer seems to think that’s the issue. How can I find the latest version of that?

The jQuery plugin turned off fixed the smart list text under images but not the responsive problem. Plus, I really need that plugin. Thoughts?

for anyone else with this problem– had to reupload the plugin from the /includes file just like the visual composer.

My visual composer is also not working after update.

What about the thumbs with a height of 0? Where are those used?

Following… Did a lot of custom coding so I want to know if it’s worth updating and redoing tweaks.

Also– where do the thumbnails with ‘0’s in the dimensions (ex. 1068×0) show up?

Do you know which file has the thumbnail generation function? we want to create a hack that just does it for the featured images

I really think the javascript calcs need to change, because even the smaller video units have those black stripes on top and bottom. The ratio is off.

It should be H/W: 1 to .5625

In custom CSS I put:
iframe#td_youtube_player { height: 620px !important; }

Which works for featured video

But I’m afraid if there are any other calculated heights this will break it.

I needed to fix this too– it works if I override the height code but I’m unsure if that’s linked to any other modules that may look off after I do so. I do not use the speed booster plugin. What would be the best way to get rid of the borders?

Yep, it’s there and it’s up to date. Is there anywhere else in the theme I should be checking besides the Thumbnails on/off toggle?

Unfortunately, I’ve set the image to featured and it still did not generate the thumb. I have also tried re-uploading the image within the “Set Featured Image” section and that did not do it either.
