1. Exactly, the posts do not exist. The issue happens when WPML is active. So it must be some compatibility issue with the translation plugin. Would you mind to do a deeper look on it?Thanks. How can I provide the access details?

The issue wasn’t exactly this. I could not select the category when editing the menu: https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/3236496/ac001f2cefa06c50f6b69cd6d5be6f57
I had to work on this and reduce categories from+2,000 to 470 items only, in order to select the needed ones.
