This seems to have done it! BUT .. somehow the next-previous icon don’t appear together…the < icon is way above and hidden within the image. Also, I don’t see the other images in the same row (I only see one image per slide). What am I missing?
+ when the page loads, it takes a while to appear.
I cannot put it on a test page to show but you can see it on a mobile theme page that I am building here (you can see it on a desktop too).

Ah! Unfortunately what I’m trying to build is not going to work with custom fields; is there going to be a way to set Flex Blocks with filters like in the Momentum template. It has arrows : < > but I noticed one can keep swiping to view other columns.

Just here to share my experience with doing this – I used a separate “category” for the posts I want should appear under a “separate project”. Then assigned templates to it.

In the screenshot you shared, you can see “Category Templates”.

For example, my main homepage leads to posts using a Single Post Template but for a Single post under a different project, I used a separate header and footer, a different single post template. All posts under this project are under “Category New Project”.

Also, I tried to test it in one of my templates but even after clicking the “Save This”(Initial Text), the text does not change to “Saved” (Added Text).

I don’t know if it helps you, but I used the add-on from EventOn to add events front-end. Here’s a look at it and it works fine… I used the shortcode from EventOn and added it to Column Content in TagDiv.

Happy to help / share our settings; but it could be a different plugin conflict as it works perfectly for us (and even with the latest theme update).

So I tested the page speed and Siteground’s Optimization by excluding different components. I tested multiple pages for speed (posts with the Table of Contents; posts with galleries, etc)

The best result so far :

HomePage = 61 [mobile] / 79 [desktop]
Posts (average) = 62-64 [mobile] 89-91 [desktop]

Pages definitely load faster (1-1.3 seconds on desktop) & 4 seconds or more on mobile. >>> I am not using any mobile theme / AMP, so it could be because of that.

Nothing breaks if I exclude:

plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/assets/css/td_legacy_main.css
themes/Newspaper/style.css (not excluding this causes the Mega menu to not load and the Search bar on the header doesn’t expand).

Note: I had to exclude it from “CSS minification”, “CSS combination” both. It didn’t work if I excluded it from only the minification / combination.

I appreciate your response here, and as a user of this theme for very long, I have expressed my love for it in almost every support-request — so yes, I understand where you’re coming from.

However, it is not always possible to remain polite while struggling with an issue — I don’t have qualms waiting for it to be resolved, but it does irk me to explain the same thing over and over again when it could be read a little more carefully by Support.

That said, the intention is certainly not to make ANYBODY feel inferior, so my sincere apologies to Anamaria and anyone who might have felt offended.

And yeah, it is indeed rich, suggesting putting support behind a paywall. The fact that it makes users feel like a “community” certainly shouldn’t matter.

I feel before jumping in and adding such comments, it would be nice to practice the “filter”.

As a user of this theme, I really love it – but many time, just like this one, the responses from you and your team (barring Calin) can be very frustrating.

Firstly, you are sending me a screenshot of a menu that is NOT a MEGA MENU. If you click on the first menu item, MUSEUMS, you will find it is not working.

Secondly, you have not realized that clicking the search icon on the header does not expand it with an input field like earlier.

So honestly, your response is meaningless to me. Please, take your time, but make an effort at least to understand the problem.

PS: Thanks for sharing that the Siteground plugin doesn’t work with Newspaper – I understood that from other discussions in the forum.

Edited to add: Disabled the plugin, so it all works now and you can probably see the difference.

So I tried – but adding the “gallery” via Gutenberg, I don’t see an option to choose a Tag Div Gallery style. The result is therefore a default WP gallery. Here, I get the option of enabling or disabling the Theme Lightbox.

In the classic edit I can choose gallery style = TagDiv.

Is there another way to add a TagDiv gallery that I am missing?

I am aware of that function – however, while inserting the TagDiv slider gallery, I use the “Classic Edit” >> Create Gallery >> Type (TagDiv). This ensures that I don’t get the option you mentioned. If you see the string of conversation above, Calin had proposed a CSS which worked initially but is not working now.

Hi Calin, pinging for your attention again – somehow, the ‘pointer-events:none!important;’ is not working. I have also “disabled Photoswipe” on this post and yet the gallery opens in a Lightbox. I’d really appreciate it if you could please give this a look.
