I have gone from 93 in the metrics to 74 on desktop and it has dropped to 54 on mobile. We’ve contacted Google support and they tell us literally this: “I’ll make a recommendation and it’s about the template you’re using; in my opinion it’s nicely visible but I’ve never gotten good performance with it; especially since it only contributes to the home page and doesn’t impact the rest of the site (where most of the performance issues exist).”
