I can get a temporary fix by setting the row to 2/3 + 1/3 and it sizes everything correctly but it is still a bit janky! Is this all we have until TD gives post page customisation?

So following up on this, I have the same problem with every single one of my posts! I add extra content to the posts on the site, podcast episode players, t-shirt images, tabbed lists; and the customisation available from Visual Composer in these posts is fine! The only thing that doesn’t seem to work is the sidebar sits on top of the content! Surely there is a way to fix this?

Did all that and still the same issue. Style 3 and 4 not showing the image. I just updated with the newest version aswell but it was broken before that too. Changed the featured image and everything, no luck. Any suggestions?

I couldn’t get it to over the post heading. I was trying to do that with the revolution slider so there was maybe a crossover with the TagDiv teams replies to me. It works on a plain page template and you have to do another little trick to close the white space between the Rev slider and the top menu. I couldn’t figure out how to change the style.php file to get the post above the post title but it does work on a plain page with no sidebar, like a home page for example. I added the row, then put a class name in the bottom of the rows settings with hyphens between words, then I took the piece of code that Bogdan gave me:

.mycustomclass{
min-height: 73.1754vh!important;
}

and changed the mycustomclass bit to the exact name my row class is called. I changed the number to between 50-55 and played around with it a bit. To enter the custom code I went back to the top of the visual composer for that page and clicked on the settings cog wheel and just pasted the custom code in there.

It worked very easily for me, I hope this helps and isnt painfully obvious.

Thanks very much and I hope you guys will think about implementing a Style into the theme to work with the bundled Rev Slider in the future maybe? One where you can have custom slides on custom posts?

That sound closer to what I want. Would I be able to have multiple sliders with those shortcodes or would it be just one slider for all instances of that Style. For example, I would like to use Style 5 for these posts, and each post would have a different Slider at the top of the page. If I use the do_shortcode Im using only one slider for all of the posts that I have Style 5 activated on. Is there a way to have individual sliders for each post? Like maybe associate the name of the post with the do_shortcode so it would change to the correct slide for each post?

This is the same problem that I have but I can get either an image, or a revolution slider up above the title to fill out the top hero panel. Did anyone find a solution for this? You tell this person to use a single row, but it still doesnt get over the title of the post or above the sidebar.

Can you set the height of this slot? The row must be empty and full height must be selected, but an image which is full width but small in height seems to zoom from centre and mess up the measurements. How can you fix this?

I mean, can you have the revolution slider come in above the heading as in Style 2 or 5 and have it look like style 7 but with the functionality and look of Rev Slider? I cant get it above the headline of the article/post. I can do it on a default template page but the sidebar on the post page gets in the way. From Visual composer (I bought the pro version of that) you can drop a Rev Slider bar in the Backend Editor but it doesnt have any effect on the heading of the post page (or category page for that matter but this would be more difficult to edit I guess) and it slides in above the text, below the title of the post and beside the sidebar. Is there any way to change this?

I’ve gone through every one of my plugins to check if it was causing the problem before I reset all the options in the theme, and you would never guess which is the offending plugin? TagDiv Speed Booster! I am using a managed wordpress host and obviously the two don’t play nicely. I have removed this plugin and the website now loads faster and has no blue bar. I installed it after the last theme update about 3 weeks ago.

I’ve changed the hex code in the place you instructed me and it hasn’t made a difference to the blue bar on page load. I also want to change the fonts on the main header (red bar on top) and the sub header (black bar) at the very least. These are the fonts that look bad on page load. The rest jump into place nicely after the picture place holders come in and the blue bar turns red. I have included an image of the fonts that I use and where. Like I said, the menu bar fonts are all I need really and to change the colour of the blue bar, of course.

Could you tell me where exactly I need to modify the colours and the fonts in the CSS. I can go ahead and do this but to find exactly where this is would be very difficult. I know its some where near td-header-menu-wrap-full but I cant seem to find where that is. If you could help me out I will permanently change the CSS and font as we wont be changing it. I will also need to know where this is if we update the theme and the changes get reverted.

I am hosted with Managed WordPress so I cant put a cache plugin on the site. I do have minified CSS and JS, I have optimised all the images and I have tested it with no plugins working. The site loads up fine at the speed it is now, its just the blue bars and the text that I dont like. There is surely a way to stop it? It wasnt like that 2 weeks ago?

It never did that before! I have even removed a lot of plugins that I had installed to speed up the site performance and now it loads quite quickly. But it does still have that ugly blue bar at the top. It has only been in the last few weeks, maybe since the theme update, but I never had this before and, as I said, I have had a lot more elements to load. Can you have a look at the site and try to understand what the problem is because it looks bad. What does move the render blocks to footer mean? I have not made big changes to the theme really. Added some small images as sidebar elements, a few pictures, and changed the colour. Its nothing major and shouldnt cause the site to look like this when it worked fine before. Here are some examples http://imgur.com/a/Cy9F9 and this stays like this for 1 second as the page loads up.

Please let me know how I should proceed,

Oh, thats disappointing. I have articles that would need the featured image to be selected to show on the thumbnails globally on the site, and on social media, but I would like the background to just show the default template background for the category. Is there no option to make the background just ignore the featured image? Would it not be an image request that would need to be changed only?

I have done this for my categories in the category template section in theme options, but when I want to put a post up with this background, the featured image I choose overrides the background image. If I dont change the featured image, it doesn’t show up on thumbnails. How can I fix this?
