Another important factor is your web hosting provider. I don’t wish to drop names in this forum but I moved from a shared web host to Managed WordPress Hosting and my site seriously improved in loading times! They also set up CDN and it’ll make a difference!

Well Christopher after all that any editing of the .htaccess would be pointless. This was a reply from my hosting provider

because our system is built on NGINX and not Apache, we do not use the .htaccess file for anything. Making changes to it will not affect the site in any way

Sorry for silly question but at the end = after # END WordPress or just before?

I spoke too soon. It only shows Google Authorship in Chrome if I’m logged into my Google+ account. I also find Page 2, page 3 being indexed in Google although I have ‘Noindex subpages of archives’ enabled in Yoast!

I couldn’t agree with you more Christopher. I could write a whole Blog on the issues I have found with Google! I heard this once recently from a news channel ‘Has Google become uncontrollable monsters!’ Let’s not get me started lol

Just a quick update. The image doesn’t show in the Google verification but it is now showing in the Google search. The start ratings however don’t show at the moment. 😉

Can you please take a look as all I had dome was change the theme. It has been working for the last few years and I have found other posts here with the same problem. It is not showing because of this error as in WordPress forums and Google:

Error: No rich snippet will be generated for this data, because it appears to include multiple reviews of an item, but no aggregate review information.

Does the rating stop working if I simply don’t publish any? I bought another theme ‘Smartmag’ which works fine.

Am I able to totally disable the ratings as this may well fix the authorship photo?

The theme is fantastic and no matter what I will use and work around it. 😉

I discovered that turning on the ‘show author box’ solved the ‘hatom-feed hatom-entry Error’ This is now fine. I can now see the rating stars in Google but my image wont show because of this:

Replies to this in the WordPress forum: There’s something wrong with the rating block/plugin average rating configuration.

Could you possible take a look at my site. It could be like my hatom-feed where simply I haven’t enabled something. If we can’t get this working I’ll just turn all the posts into ratings from stars. It is a fantastic theme and I appreciate your support

Forgot to mention even the reviews/ratings don’t show and I have this error

Sorry Marius I wasn’t clear. I understand Google will only show in search results ….. but what I meant was that your image would still show in the Google ‘Structured Data Testing Tool. regardless of the end result. In the Google verification tool my authorship has been verified but the image wont show. I had something like this before on my site when it had ‘reviews’ enabled! It stopped the image showing in the Google test site!

The photo is fine and showing on all my other sites. The strange thing is in Google Verification it shows verified but no image shows up. I may just turn the posts into reviews and go for the stars instead!

Thanks for the compliment on my images and taking the time to look! I am not a professional but I am crazy about photography. My equipment used for the Macro shots were: Sony A77 camera, Tamron 90mm Macro and a Kenko extension tube. Some of the shots were hand held with no flash.

I’m using a host that has their own cache and CDN so I have no cache plugin installed and I’m getting 95/100 perf grade! Can’t complain. I’m sure there’s more I can do as the load time is around 3 seconds but for now I’m happy. I’d like to see this forum have a topic for members sites!

This is the reply from my host saying it’s from the debug bar only:

“Those errors are thrown by that plugin by design, they are not issues that you will need to worry about. So can just leave the plugin deactivated if you wish”.

I have made a support ticket in my host and will reply thank you 😉

Yes I use SEO by Yoast. The posts show as authorship working but in the ‘Structured Data Testing Tool’ the image wont display

Hi Radu

What I meant was that each post has a H1 Title and followed by some H2 titles. I noticed that the Static home page doesn’t have this. What I did to bypass this was to add a text block and then add an H1 title and H2 Is this the best way? 😉
