I have tried to deactivate the featured image for the mobile version in the theme panel (mobile plugin), but the featured images are still shown – there is no change. But why they are loaded for the mobile version in the whole kilobyte size of the desktop version? Isn’t there a way to slim down the featured image for the mobile version?

@Larane I took the code which is offered from Pinterest itself and put in a html under design –> widget –> individual html. In the theme I integrated a widget-sidebar in the footer and that worked.

I hope that helps.

Unfortunately it stopped working again on the mobile theme after the update…

Yes, you are right. But date isn’t activated 🙁

Topfgartenwelt

Unfortunately no – but I will do it now 🙂 I have created the pages with the composer, so is there something special to do?

Thank you very much!

Hmm, after updating the theme I’m adding all the changes again.

What do you mean with caches?

Ok, thanks for your information. I did a lot of research concerning SEO-Plugins and Rank Math is much more leight weighter than Yoast, because you have the possibility to deactivate blocks which are not used. It’s something important when looking forward to the Google Web Core Vitals coming in 2020. In addition it offers a hughe offer for free and the premium version is very usefull in connection with keywords, page speed optimization and so on. It would be great if you will take a closer look to the API. Most of the others already did 🙂

@sevengamer and @deuja14 so you face any Problems with the Meta Descriptions Ehen using Rank Math?

I have followed all your instructions but since the last update the CLS on the mobile version is increasing again. What could be the problem this time?

Thanks for your reply. I’m using Rankmath and the categories as well as the pages are indexed but show no meta description. For that reason I contacted the plugin developer from Rankmath and got the following answer:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting support.

RankMath does not fully support tagdiv composer right now but We have added API access to the content analysis in the Rank Math plugin to make content from page builder plugins readable by Rank Math ( such as the one in this case).

You would need to contact the developer of the plugin you mentioned by showing the following link:
https://rankmath.com/kb/content-analysis-api/

Many known companies have already added the compatibility, as it takes a few hours:
https://rankmath.com/compatibility/divi/
https://rankmath.com/compatibility/elementor/
https://rankmath.com/compatibility/themify-builder/
https://rankmath.com/compatibility/page-builder-framework/
https://rankmath.com/compatibility/flothemes/

We hope that helps. Please let us know if there’s anything else you need our assistance with. More than happy to help.

So, for me that means that something is not working correctly. Will the compatibility be fixed in the next update? If not, do you have any recommendations for a seo plugin?

Yes 🙂

I followed your recommendations but I still get the error message mentioned above. And if you ask, all requirements for Newspaper Theme are fullfilled. What should I do?

So I got the Pinterest Button working again on the Desktop Theme after embedding it as a widget from design –> widget –> individual html but this doesn’t work for the mobile theme. What should I do to get that code working in the mobile theme:

script async defer data-pin-hover="true" data-pin-round="true" src="//assets.pinterest.com/js/pinit.js"> script

Dear Calin, I know that the Newspaper Theme Social Share Buttons use the Hover Effect, the problem is that the Pinterest Hover Button on all images in the blog post is blocked by the theme! When I checked the source code in the browser I could see that the hover button is loaded but it isn’t shown on the images. The last time I tried following code:

2
3
4
5
6

(function($){
"use strict";
$(window).load(function(){
$(".thumbnail-container img").removeAttr("data-pin-no-hover");
});
})(jQuery);

But unfortunately that doesn’t work anymore… So what can I do to get the Pinterest Hover Button on the images work again?

The CLS for the mobile theme seems to be stable after deactivating the Ajax View Count. But now I have another problem, it completely stopped to count the views of a post in the backend. I just wanted to deactivate the View Count in the Frontend. Isn’t there a way to do that?

@Vlad This is part of the directory of my wordpress setup. It is not an issue of the unminify option!!! So where I can set the listener to passive?

Ok, I have found the file:

wp-content/mmr/48971584-1604329671.min.js (I have opened it) here should the listener in line 5 and line 6 set to passive: {passive: true}. Can you help me where I have to add peace of code?

@amit I think it works 🙂

Thank you very much 🙂

Commenting out didn’t work and let the site go down, but deactivating in the standard pack worked. After that I have deinstalled it again and hope that the CLS goes down again 🙂

I know that the page is AMP valid, but when I test the AMP page in Page Speed Insights I get the information to remove the duplicate modules in JS Bundles:

Topfgartenwelt

Ok, but will you solve it in one of the next updates? Because it’s marked as a serious problem since the Google Update in May 2020…

Greetings Kathrin

Topfgartenwelt

Dear Calin, you have posted the same picture twice, so I don’t know what to do. When I test the AMP site the problem is still there…

Topfgartenwelt
tagDiv Member

Ok, but I deactived the sticky header in the same js.file and here you didn’t tell me that I have to unminify it before doing that. Is there no way to set the listener to passive? If I would unminify it, which part of the code I should set to passive?

Will you take it into account in the next update? Because it is always reported as a failure.

Greetings Kathrin
