I can’t control how the plugin inserts images. It just inserts an Amazon Buy Button and it should be correct size, but the theme extends it all the way for some reason.

I placed the previous code in Theme Panel > Custom CSS box. Do I remove previous code? Where do I place this new one, in Custom CSS box, or go directly into style.css file? Please advise.

Thanks for the response! I did what you said, but it didn’t help much.

Custom CSS changed A FEW of these, but some other entries are still giant and did not change (please see the link).

BUT, most importantly, these are ALL still giant within the editing window (when editing the post), and the custom CSS does not affect anything when writing/editing the post. I still can’t scale them or control them in any way like I should be able to. They’re huge and taking up all the space in the window.

I’ve included multiple examples of things that do not work with Newsmag. There are no problems with any other theme.

– Info blog – scaling doesn’t work; should be smaller and scalable/resizable
– Attributes – scaling doesn’t work; should be smaller and scalable/resizable
– Simple buttons – doesn’t work, they’re supposed to be small (there are more)
– Image 132×160 insertion – doesn’t work; any image size gets extended automatically
– This image below is supposed to be inserted as 53×75 size – it’s not, and I also cannot resize it – the theme won’t allow that.

Note that every time I’m inserting something, the theme automatically extends the original size to its fullest (theme content/body width size, I believe) and it also won’t allow me to edit the size.

Hi Lucian,

I figured out what the problem is. You should probably include this in your documentation.

If you use a separate category for the Grid than you do for the following block, it doesn’t work.

“Start the count with an offset. If you have a block that shows 5 posts before this one, you can make this one start from the 6’th post (by using offset 5)” – nothing said about the fact that you must use same category.

More update: this is also NOT a unique situation specific just to my machine. GTMetrix, Pingdom, Google’s Page Insights and other testing tools are also not displaying the icons.

* also, if you would allow editing of posts in this thread, then I wouldn’t have to create multiple posts every time I find something new. Just a thought. 🙂

Please note that I have followed the advice given here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mising-icon-star-rating-showing-chinese-write-up/#post-33232 – but it doesn’t work. All 3 browsers on multiple PCs are still displayed Chinese/Japanese whatever it is.

Tried with the following browsers: Chrome, Firefox, IE. All display the same.

I can see all the icons on your demo site. And this is the first time I’m ever experiencing anything like that, I’ve never had a similar problem with any other site online, or any themes, not only mine. Definitely something wrong in the theme.

Yeah, it looks like multiple icons aren’t being displayed correctly.

In addition to the above, also:

1. Breadcrumbs forward arrow icons aren’t displayed properly.

2. Icon on “More stories” doesn’t work either – Japanese displayed

Probably more icons do not work… I can’t figure out if there’s a setting that will change this. There’s nothing in the documentation.
