Could you please at least point to the right files/functions I have to change to achieve this?

I guess it would be just modifying the function which fetches the 7 days and change it to 3.

Thank you for your immediate response.

However, I contacted both my hosting provider and my domain registrar and both assured me that everything is ok regarding the DNS settings and the A, CNAME and MX records.

They pointed me back to you by saying that there might be a problem with the wordpress theme or a caching plugin of the wordpress installation. I have not installed any caching plugins just the jetpack as you suggest at your documentation.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, since I have not used any additional plugins except for those you recommend.
