Sorry, NO I don’t understand – Chrome has +65% share of the desktop browser market (which business users and potential clients would be using to view our site).

This glitch would have been considered unacceptable 15 years ago, let alone now! First impressions count and the first impression, even back then would would have been that the site was poorly, un-professionally constructed.

This is a supposed to be a PREMIUM theme – None of WordPress basic releases, TwentyTen – current have ever displayed that behaviour on any browser – they’d have never got off the ground to start with.

It wouldn’t matter how slick a design I or anyone could come up with, ALL IS LOST on the first click – Like designing and building a Ferrari with a buckled wheel!

This is not an issue with Newspaper – It works on the actual server but does not work on my local drive running the (Mac) MAMP Apache simulated server.

I can live with that, although it’s not ideal as Id prefer to be able to design and experiment with the site locally (off-line) prior to running it on the actual server.

But if there is anyone out there that has come across the same issue with MAMP and managed to resolve it, Id appreciate the solution.

I am experiencing an issue that other users have previously reported in that The WP Editor does not start up, it just hangs at startup.

I have increased WP_MEMORY_LIMIT to 256mb.
The php version 7-7.2 is set

But I get an internal server error if I put the following in my .htaccess:

<IfModule mod_substitute.c>
SubstituteMaxLineLength 10M
</IfModule>

That involves a lot of work as my previous twentytwelve based WP site was very content rich (with a lot of pages) and I was expecting to be able to simply tweak the pages to to fit a new layout. Your “column text” comment has cleared up a lot of confusion.

I guess i am going to have to re-create every page in TD, copy each of my pages and paste (as text) into a column text element.

I am getting the following message “The current content has not been created by TagDivi Composer”.

The theme is great and is probably ideal for sites being built from scratch – I probably would not have bought it if I’d known the implications of converting an established WP website.

Now I understand why web designers/developers that I’ve contacted (that use Newspaper) Were insisting on charging by the page… Knowing how WP works it didn’t make sense, It does now!

It seems Macbook Air’s trackpad does not default to 3finger drag option. You need to go into Apple preferences-> Trackpad -> enable three finger drag.

For other newbies – Things that I have come across so far: – localhost; Error 5000/can’t connect:

My old MAMP only had php version up to 5.1 so had to install new MAMP with php 7.XX
And had to change port number from 8888 to 80
