Thanks Catalin, my hosting provider updated php parameters (except max_execution_time because too high). Now “http error 500” has been solved and i upgraded theme to version 9.

Hi,
version 9 periodically returns http error 500. I’m back to version 8.8.2 which always works. The .htaccess file was already well configured (changes to the 4 php values) as well as the wp_config.php file. I think there is something wrong with version 9 of the theme!

I did some testing on a standalone installation. At first i installed the newspaper theme and only two plugins (vc and social counter). There is not any problem.Then I installed the plugins i need without turn them on. There is not any problem. At last I turned them all and there isn’t any problem. Every time i deleted the post and (in media library) the featured image taken from the video. I do not know what to think, surely on standalone installation there is a different version of php, a slightly higher level, but I do not think it’s important. I agree close the ticket if you want. I solved with a static featured image.

Hi, I tried too with the video “https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1f-xobQDG4” and it worked without disabling any plugin. Of course I can do try again to deactivate all plugins and add my ink “https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cEVSNo-Y8w”. You suggest to clear cache. I know how to clear the browser cache, but if you’re referring the wordpress cache or theme cache how do i clear it?. Can you help me?

I left active visual composer and social counter. Nothing has changed. I did several tests with youtube videos. I can say that if the youtube videos are short (3-5 minutes), there are no problems, if the videos are long (15 min or more) the featured image has not taken from video.

No. I tried it with other youtube movies . Sometimes it works , sometimes not. Specifically featured image has not right loaded after i add this url “https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cEVSNo-Y8w”.

I updated newspaper (now is v.7), then i modified td_config.php. I’m sorry, but has not changed anything. The post in video format doesn’t display any thumb from video.

Furthermore “After you update the post you can see the generated preview image in the Featured Image post box” is not true.
