I did get this to work correctly modifying the parent theme but when I try to overwrite the child theme by following the instructions to overwrite the comments.php and it was not overwriting it. I put the td_background_render.php file inside of the child theme root folder and it is not overwriting the parent theme.

How would I overwrite td_background_render.php ?

I appreciate your help on this and that is the file that I thought would be where the edit is needed. I will look in to this more and figure it out myself, thanks.
