Oh, that’s not terribly user friendly is it!

Could future updates make the placeholder images, or the template which displays them, updateable in a child theme?

If I use either of those options, changes will be overwritten by a theme update wont they?

Sorted this now, I thought it could only be used with Adsense, but I’ve added the following and styled with css and it work just as I wanted.
