Hi there, I believe I have figured out the issue. There seems to be a conflict with the MainWP plugin, which links the site to my MainWP dashboard.

If there is anyway of you letting me know if there is a fix for this I would appreciate it.

Thanks, I just sent the admin access to the contact@tagdiv.com email address.

Following up on this. This is hugely problematic for my client is asking for changes to all three sites which I cannot do because the Theme Panel does not save.

All you have told me is to check the console, which doesn’t help me at all. Check for what?? How can I fix this?

Please help.

what am I checking the console for? That doesn’t tell me much.

Hi Anamaria, here are the links to the three sites I manage, all of which are running version 12.4 and are experiencing the same issue with the theme panel changes not taking affect.

Please let me know if you would like me to provide you with temporary admin access.

I am having the same issue, and it looks like this is an old post, and the Sticky Posts plugin is no longer supported. Is there a more recent solution to this? I have tried using the native WordPress sticky posts feature, but it is not working.

Thank for you for this. As a follow-up, when I make a minor change to the template (adding an ad script) do I need to add the same folder tree for this file in the child theme? I have made the change, (added this to line 93 <?php if( function_exists(‘the_ad_placement’) ) { the_ad_placement(‘post-above-content’); } ?>) but the ad is not showing up, although on the other sites running 9.6 I have the same ad script and it is showing up fine.

I have a similar question. How do I hide the theme set header banner ad on certain pages? I do not want it on a couple of pages.

Hi there, I have resolved the issue. I had inadvertently changed the background color in the theme panel which caused the layout issues.

Hi there, this is certainly a major issue I cannot seem to resolve. I do not know foresure if this started after I updated to version 9.6, but I cannot seem to resolve the issue that all pages built with the composer are now boxed layout, where they were full width and custom stretch to 1200px. I have gone through every part of the theme panel, as well have removed all my CSS hoping that may solve it, but nothing.

Please help ASAP.

Hi, if I create a button in the header with the multi-purpose plugin, how can I have that link appear in the mobile menu? (I am not using the mobile theme)

Please disregard last ticket. There was a plugin conflict.

Hi Calin,

Thank you for the response. Any CSS help for this would be appreciated.

The site is found here: http://wordpress-215920-675370.cloudwaysapps.com/

On the main menu, you will see the primary category ‘News’. Under this there are sub-menus each of which have their own (tertiary) sub-menus. Here is a list of the sub-categories which should be part of the mega-menu – all others are tertiary and should not show.

Main – News
Sub-Categories (that should show) – Canada News, Local News, Ontario News, World News
All other tertiary cats should not show.

Calin, if you are also able to look at one more issue related to the menu, I would appreciate it. When you hover over the ‘Shows’ menu item, you will see this is also a mega-menu without sub-categories. There are currently 10 pages with the ‘Shows’ category. When you hover over the main menu item, the mega menu shows as it should. However, when you select the navigation arrow to see the next 5 shows, the mega-menu goes blank, and you can not get it back without refreshing the page.

If you are able to offer a CSS fix for the first News item and a solution to the Shows mega menu issue, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you in advance.
Tim

Thanks – that’s what I figured. I tried that and the site crashed. Error logs showed:

[proxy_fcgi:error] [pid 7575] [client 127.0.0.1:60643] AH01071: Got error ‘PHP message: PHP Warning: require_once(includes/td_config_helper.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/139196.cloudwaysapps…themes/Newspaper/functions.php on line 18\nPHP message: PHP Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘includes/td_config_helper.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/share/php’) in /home/139196.cloudwaysapps.com/bnkeggmyas/public_html/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/functions.php on line 18\n’

I then overwrote the entire theme with the new files from 9.1 and it worked fine.

Further to this post, I found a thread about the full-width and I have resolved that by clearing the background color in the theme panel.

The menu however is still not transparent and the hero is tucked under the header.
