Social counter colors in 7.0

I upgraded my staging site to 7.0 and the Social Counter seems to have been broken. The icons for the social networks are grey/white compared to their original settings, and I can’t see any of the numbers.

I have also looked at https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and several other places for documentation on the new feature of being able to choose different formats and styles of the social icons, but I have not found any. I’m sure that’s what’s happened here – the defaults have changed, but I don’t know where to change them.

For the social counter issue, you probably have to manually update the plugin. If you download the full theme zip archive (http://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609), you’ll see a plugin folder with latest copies of all the plugins. Looks like the current Social Counter version is 4.0.

Correct, simply uninstall the old plugin and upload/install the new social counter. It works for me.

Just did that myself and it worked. I guess when I went through the nonsense of downloading, installing, and authenticating the Envato Market installer, which is one of the ways TagDiv suggest you update a plugin, I expected it to take care of all of the related plugins.

Is there a specific document that clearly states all of the things you need to do when upgrading? All plugins that need to be disabled, removed, uninstalled, and re-installed? I’m already doing the Visual Composer dance every time, but if I need to be doing that for a bunch of other plugins it would be nice to know…

Hi,
The documentation specifies how to update the theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and in this section you will see step 7: http://screencast.com/t/zl0SzlUa2d
There is also a stand-alone tutorial on how to update visual composer: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thank you!
