Hello all
I am facing a slow loading sites with Newspaper template.
I have follow all optimization tutorial found on forum and documentation.
Each site is hosted on a dedicated server with more than needed specifications.
It seems some scripts are taking some time to load but when they do load the websites comes really fast.

Hi,
Page loading speed can be affected by many factors. Plugins can have a negative impact on website speed as well. You could make a test and disable all your plugins except the ones provided in the theme package, clear the cache and check to see if the speed has increased.
This could be also related to the ajax requests that the complex Visual composer elements present on your page are making. You should try to reduce the number of requests, like block pagination, ajax filter etc. from each of the block settings – https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/ and see if this has any effect in this matter.

Ok It seems the problem is the WP Super Cache. I have disable that clear cache and added the W3 Total Cache to test the difference and it’s working a lot faster.
Maybe an update broke something.

I created a new test site and I have active only the templates plugins.

It seems to load very poorly indeed. The caching plugin is recommend to be used with these settings

If you say the server configuration is more than enough

Then there should be no problems of this kind. Something is causing this slow loading speed. We have not had any bad reports about this, it must be something on your configuration.

The theme is not yet compatible with PHP 7.1. It is only tested with version 7.0. Hopefully it will be compatible after the next theme update. I don’t think this slow loading speed is theme related, we had no bad reports in this regard.

Yes because I am using W3 total cache but it comes with its problems
After a clean installation (not db) and some server optimization on apache and following again the optimization guide https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/
it seems themasports.com is fast again.
