Hi there
After updating WP to version 5.0, the footer is not aligned as it was before the update.
It goes to the right by 50px and I cannot understand why…

Hi,

Please make update to the last version of Newspaper theme.
How to update the theme -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/

Thank you.

The update does not fix the problem.

In the Newspaper theme panel/Post settings/Default post template (site wide), I noticed that the default style, style 1 and style 5 (if selected) forces the footer to the right by 50px. The remaining styles (2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13) are working without any problem.

This problem started after updating WP to version 5.0

I have a site running with template version 7.8.1. and two test sites with template 9.2.1. and 9.2.2. (all of them with WP 5.0) and the problem is exactly the same with all template versions.

How can we fix this problem?

Hi,

Please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin and ftp access for one of your test/dev sites where you use the latest version 9.2.2.
We will get in touch with you as soon as possible after New Year Holidays.

Thank you for understanding!

Hi

First of all thank you very much for your support.

JUst one last question:

I’ve tried a few times to update the website that is running Newspaper 7.8.1 to 9.2.2.

Usually I am able to install the update (and I’ve always follow the online instructions at https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-documentation/) but after the installation, when I try to activate the theme, the site and wp back office goes blank.

I noticed that the folder that has the theme zip folder, plugins, pdf’s, etc, comes with a folder called “patch_9.2_9.2.2”

Do I need also to apply the files on this folder with the update? And if so, how to do it?

Thanks again for your great support.

Hi,

We try our best to help when there are problems, thank you for your appreciation. The patch folder contains the modified files from the previous version. It would be considered a different form of update besides the other ones.

If you use the latest WordPress, use the latest theme as well. In similar cases as you describe the issue was caused by low memory
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
We recommend a value of 256M which would be enough for most websites. Try to increase it and check if the issue is solved.

Thanks
