Hi,
I’ve been using Newspaper for the past 5 years and want to optimize the site for Page Speed Insight.
I am concerned though about importing new Cloud Templates and now the Mobile Page incase I lose any functionality as I have a lot of custom html/ccs on pages and posts.
With Cloud Templates, can you add custom HTML and CSS code within TagDiv Composer? Does the same apply to Mobile Pages?
I’ve noticed there are 3 plugins: TagDiv Composer, TagDiv Cloud and TagDiv Standard Pack. Is the Standardpack necessary for TagDiv Composer?
If I do not use Cloud Templates, can I just remove the plugin without affecting the site?
How much optimisation improvement (%) would you expect by adding a Mobile Page?
Best Regards,
Dave
Hello!
Yes, with cloud templates and mobile pages also you have those element Raw HTML and Raw CSS and you can add them with TagDiv Composer.
No, Standard Pack is used only for default templates and not for a cloud/PRO templates.
Related to the page speed, this is our limit score, check this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/guys-it-is-possible-to-get-good-speed-with-newspaper-theme/
Unfortunately, there is no button to hit and your score is high or your page speed is very high. You need to try to optimize your website.
If you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here: https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/ you’ll be able to increase the speed of your website.
Also, to increase the page speed you can check these similar topics for more solutions:

Please note that page speed is not covered by the support team: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-support/
Please give it a try and follow the steps which I presented above about page speed.
Also, check our guide from here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Please make sure to use our newest tool called tagDiv CSS Analyzer which comes in handy to resolve some of your issues. Take a look at the video guide here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnkVapqhIHc
“This custom tool performs an automatic test to find missing CSS rules applied by user interaction. Moreover, you can manually interact with a chosen section/component from the page while the tool records all the involved CSS. It will generate the final CSS file for this page and also will split the rules in Critical CSS to be loaded in the website’s header.” ( https://tagdiv.com/whats-new-in-the-newspaper-theme-10-4-update/ )
Our tool is running only on normal pages and not for posts or categories for example.
We tested our tool on our demos, and we have such great results!
Take a look in this topic because it could help you: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/css-analyzer-step-by-step-and-doubts/
Thank you!
Hi,
Thank you for the response.
I’m not entirely certain, but the 100% Page Speed score appears to be from a blank rendered page, what do you think?
Can you perform a site-wide mobile page for every page/post on your site? I don’t see the point of optimising a single page for mobile when Google Page Experience is based on site-wide metrix.
Best Regards,
Dave
Hello Dave!
From what I have seen after launching our tool and after an optimization of our demos, I can say that the page speed is valuable increasing. How I explained above these results needs a bit of time to optimize your website and it can not be done in 2 seconds.
If you faced so many problems with optimization or increasing your page speed, then you can contact our custom work team here: https://tagdiv.com/premium-customization-services/ ; and they will do it for you.
Thank you for understanding!
