TagDiv editor and mobile theme not playing well together

Hi I have a problem where a mobile theme was created but when the mobile dimensions were edited in the standard TagDiv composer it got rid og the mobile version and now it seems we can only choose one or the other. That is either have the mobile theme show up on desktop or have the mobile dimentions show up from the TagDiv composer and the mobile template deactivated for mobile. Is there any way to have them both running in parralel togeather again. Have tried activating/deactivating the “tagDiv Mobile Theme” and the “Official AMP for WP” plugins but that doesn’t fix the problem.

Hi,

I’m not sure I fully understand your issue.
I understood that you had the mobile theme activated, right?
Usually, this problem is when the mobile theme is displaying on the desktop, then you have a cache conflict, the plugin for the cache that you are using do not recognize the mobile and desktop cache. We recommend using the WP Super Cache plugin https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Also, please check this topic https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-version-not-working-properly-2/ for more information.

Thank you!

Thank you for the response.

Hi, im not quite sure how to fix the problem using WP Super Cache plugin. Checking mobile in advanced does not seem to help.

this is the Site I want to come up
https://gyazo.com/b991dd0ed15d299a74ea246ab5b8f553

However this one always comes up:
https://gyazo.com/549d0db30a13cb9ddb6f7a0e77e0b9c8

I have tried messing with the mobile setting in the bar to no avail:
https://gyazo.com/63d6845323ae1c9abf63a5a80db2fd1f

choosing both the mobile template ” Kosningamiðstöð 2021 – mobile” in the mobile section and leaving on no mobile template.

The opnly thing that seems to activate the mobile template is when i make a change in it and save it, that however makes the mobile template take over the site no matter the device that is opening it be it desktop or mobile.

Can you give a more comprehensive expaination on how the WP Super Cache plugin (which was already active on the site) can help me resolve this issue?

Hi piratar, Anamaria was referring if you are using the mobile theme plugin (you do not have it activate), in that case you must use a plugin with mobile support.
I see that you are using the responsive and mobile page templates.
First, I want to make sure that I was able to inform you of all details about the mobile versions that our theme can have.
1. Responsive version, this is by default when you install the theme and you do not use mobile page or mobile theme plugin.
2. Mobile page/template this allows you to create with tagDiv Composer and cloud a different layout and set different elements for mobile and iPad/tablet and it will overwrite the responsive version.
3. Mobile theme plugin, this is a light theme version for mobile that will overwrite the mobile page and responsive version if enabled.

So when you have a mobile page/template this will be used instead of a responsive version, but if you also have the mobile theme enabled, this one will override both of them.
How to combine them? Yes, this can be possible, for example the mobile page/template will apply only on that page or cloud template that is assigned. But what to do if you want to use a mobile theme plugin too? If you use mobile theme, in Gutenberg editor it is an option to disable the mobile theme in current post/page, if you use the option, then it will be use the mobile page/template (if is assigned) or the responsive version.
So in your case you can disable the mobile theme on the homepage -> https://i.imgur.com/NX57q4t.png or if you do not want it at all, disable the plugin or use it only for amp -> https://i.imgur.com/Grlz5Ee.png.
Here is also a video that explains all those -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
Hope this will help you!
