I see today news update newspaper theme, but on this version have a plugin “WPBakery Page Builder” version 5.5.4, for now, this plugin is in another version 5.5.5, and is very important this update 5.5.5, changelong say “Fix: SSL issues for fonts and Fix: Gutenberg improvements”.
My all sites have SSL active, and my question is if you could update the plugin to 5.5.5.

I just update the Newspaper Theme from 9.0 to 9.1 for my site.
after that, I check my site and I found that all the pages and posts are displayed error.
The pages and posts are created by WPBakery Page Builder.

At the moment, the latest tested version of Visual Composer which our theme is 5.5.4. Please keep in mind that the WP Bakery was immediately released an update of Visual Composer (v. 5.5.5) after our theme update, sorry!

Okay I deactivated WP bakery and left only TD composer is active composer now but it is still appearing the same on mobile page. Should I write something on CSS section to make change?

I’m not sure what relevance the divi theme link you sent me has to newspaper theme, but anyway, a complete removal of all tag div plug ins (and bakery) and reinstalling them seems to have done the trick. I can now see the page builder elements again in the back end.

Thanks for your reply first of all.
The reason I want to switch to TagDiv Composer is because you guys stated that the page builder is specifically build for this theme and it’s better etc. Also that Visual Composer/WP Bakery will not be updated or working well with the theme. Many reasons that I want to switch and I already switched to it on my sub-domain where my shop is on WooCommerce.
It would really help a lot if most of the Visual Composer possibilitys like tabbed content would also be available for TagDiv or atleast stated when this will be added. Could you give any info on when it will be included in TagDiv or if it even will be added ever?
Another thing, I always thought that Visual Composer and TagDiv could nót be activated at the same time? Or is it like you said, only not activate on the same page? I remember updating the theme which would cause to automatically activate the TagDiv plug in and my home page and Agenda page would be fucked up. This will not happen anymore?
Another thing, last day I was searching Google for a tabbed content solution and funny enough I saw a video that showed me how to update Visual Composer/WP BAkery without paying for the plug in. I remember I got the notification to update Visual Composer and every time I clicked on it I had to pay for the plug in. Now I saw this video and found this link and it actually worked lol. wp bakery 5.4.5
tag div composer keeps de-activating. i activate it. seems ok. go to edit page. it isn’t available as option. check back on plug ins page and is showing as not being activated again.
meanwhile wp bakery is active, and is showing on the back end in the page editor, but is not recognising the page elements on that page. just showing as blank, ready to add the first element.
but if i switch back to classic editor, the code is all there for the wp bakery page elements.
help?

The thing is, that TD composer only works on pages, but sometimes I would need the WP Bakery Page Builder for posts.

I am experiencing some compatibility issues with the WP Bakery Page Builder plugin and your theme. On my webistes it misses FRONT END editing mode.
At first I thought this would be a WP Bakery problem so I contacted them and asked what to do.
They gave me some tips but that doesn’t solved the problem at all.
I disabled all 3rd party plugins, various browsers etc. but that doesn’t helped me either.
Fortuneately I tried to change the theme to the standard Twentyseventeen theme and then the Front End editor was available and working back again.
What could be the reason that I don’t have the Front Editing mode available on all of my Newspaper 9 installations?

Sorry for this inconvenience, but for the moment there is now way to do that, the theme includes a license for this plugin, so you don’t have to buy it; you don’t have to activate the plugin license; you don’t have to worry about the plugin update warnings.

I have been using the newspaper theme for quite a long while. I know that the wpbakery page builder comes with it and I own a license too…
But is the theme usable with other page builders like thrive architect or Elementor? Or am i having conflicts when using them with the theme?

I think the tagdiv composer should have a backend editor similar to WPBakery. Never used the frontend editor on WPBakery either and I think most / all other buyers would agree.

While working with inner pages of the Newspaper theme, the columns stop working, however they work in the home page.
I tried duplicating the page, and still not working:

@MESOTU Our composer is a front-end drag and drop page builder. If you decide that this is not helpful for you or you prefer a backend solution, you could use WPBakery.
Worth noting that most new features/options and the ones to come will not work with WPBakery, they are created specifically for the tagDiv composer. The cloud library plugin also works only with our builder.

Is the TagDiv composer ONLY able to be used on the front end? Or is there a way to use it for editing pages on the backend similar to WP Bakery (the old Visual Composer)? Personally, I love the theme, but am not really a fan of these front end WYSIWYG editors. Thanks mate.

same here… I do not see the ability to change and adjust pages with VC or now the called WP Bakery?
Did you install it ?
With NP 9 the ‘default’ page builder is TD Composer. WP Bakery VC is ‘optional.’
See the theme docs, but also the /plugins/ folder in the ‘all files’ download.
Not sure if that helps or not, just a thought. 🙂
