Dear friends,

I need your support regarding a third party plugin called WP-Subcribe Pro. There is supposed to be a pop up subcription window however it is not working with Newsmag. I asked the issue in plugin’s forum, they adviced me to adding below code to the bottom of the functions.php file (in order to execute jQuery code earlier), I tried but it did not work as well.

wp_enqueue_script(‘jquery’, ‘http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.11.1/jquery.min.js’);

Do you have any suggestion?

Their answer also written below;

It seems jQuery is included too late in the code, it appears in the footer, however, it’s needed earlier in the execution, it should be included in the header. It’s hard to tell how to fix it without knowing how the theme handles the inclusion. Try adding this code to the bottom of the functions.php file of your theme:
wp_enqueue_script(‘jquery’, ‘http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.11.1/jquery.min.js’);
Hope that helps.

Hi,

Like Lucian said you have 3 types of pagination on blocks. The template that you use “Pagebuilder + Latest Articles + Pagination” have pagination for Latest Articles: http://screencast.com/t/8aZLdshL
Maybe you are referring to the module 13 for Latest Articles: http://screencast.com/t/mUKnlSR1BEzD
So if you want to display only latest articles you don’t have to add a row without an element. Just set the module for Latest Articles.

Hope this helps!

Hi,

If you want to remove link of the author please delete this code from:

td_module_single.php for author on posts like this: http://screencast.com/t/cuBdyg5bh
td_module.php for author on blocks like this: http://screencast.com/t/rSkpcrpOS

Thanks!

Thanks it worked.
But one thing is I want the “Block 1” to display its main article on the right and small articles on the left.
i.e. change the alignment of box content too
also text is appearing on top of the image

Hi,

I’m not sure what you mean with word “Archives”. Could you provide a screenshot?
Also if you refer to the block title, you can add a custom title like this: http://screencast.com/t/KGX7O8mOuO
Result: http://screencast.com/t/4mFb4EQyZG
Or you can hide the title: http://screencast.com/t/OUpxyNUQrzV
Result: http://screencast.com/t/2AtQKHOhi2jH

Hope this helps! Please provide more details, if this don’t solve your issue.

Thanks!

Hi, thanks for your reply.

Regarding question number 3, I’ve noticed that if I use in the template the option pagebuilder+latest articles+pagination, I can have block 13 with pagination at the end. The problem is that it’s required to add an element in the page builder. If I add a row in the pagebuilder and I don’t add any element, some white pixels will be left on the top of the page. Any solution to this?

Is there anyway to take the hyperlink off the authors name in the Blocks and Post?

Hi,

1. The theme is built based on a 3 column grid layout so a full width page will use all three columns.
2. You can add a custom css class to the row you don’t want on mobile screens, like this: http://screencast.com/t/7f8qM2Xap3 then use it to hide that row on mobiles using the class you added.
ex:

.hide_on_mobile {
display: none;
}

3. I don’t think so also. You have three types of pagination on blocks: http://screencast.com/t/sdTcb1Uh

Thanks

Hi,

Unfortunately you cannot do it, as the infinite load pagination only works on blocks.
Sorry for inconvenience!

Thanks!

Hello
Certain blocks do not render properly an http://www.penny-watcher.com. It is as though the thing isn’t wide enough and the blocks are simply moving vertically rather than horizontally. How can I change this please?

Hello, I’ve some questions about homepage layout:

1. I’m trying to use “posts grid” from visual composer, in a full width column, but it doesn’t matter if I set 1,2,3 or 6 columns in the “posts grid” template: posts are shown always in three columns. Why?

2. Is there any way to hide a “row” and all it’s elements when user has a mobile device?

3. If I use ONLY block 13 + sidebar in my homepage, could this be bad for seo? I don’t see any option to have a pagenav at the end of the section, but only the “load more” button. Not sure if this could be a bad thing, that’s why I’m asking.

I’d like to change the font sizes for:

– Category in posts: found the font, but how do I change the colored block to fit?
– Font size for the comments/views numbers at the top of posts
– Excerpt font size (and font) for the excerpts on the homepage

Thanks.

Hi,

Footer is resizing automatically, but you can limit the posts number that are appearing on the block.
For example Popular Category from your footer widget: http://screencast.com/t/gqNrPRlW

My footer before: http://screencast.com/t/w8b3ymW2MGln
And after: http://screencast.com/t/9ExccDdFHwT

Thanks!

Hi,

Unfortunately blocks can’t have numbered pagination. The only pagination which you can use on blocks is those present in block settings panel: http://screencast.com/t/3ikKggrTPNy7
Sorry for the inconvenience!

Thanks

How can I hide the homepage widget blocks in the mobile view? There is an option for them to hide in mobile view, but unfortunately it does not work in any way.

Hi,
Can you please tell me how to reduce the height of the homepage post block (td_homepage_full). I tried to add this code (picked up in forum):
.td-big-slide-background, body.single_template_4 #td-full-screen-header-image, .backstretch {
height: 700px !important;
}
The code only seems to reduce the image – not the homepage post block height.
Thank you.

Hi, I’m setting-up an Italian/English site with Newspaper 4.6.1 and qTranslate-X 2.9.6 and I need some help

1 – At the bottom of any post there are the “previous article” and “next article” with the links showing the articles titles. Right now the theme shows both the italian and english title at the same time
http://www.albertobonis.com/test/nutrito/en/2015/01/24/internal-post/

2 – At the bottom of the homepage I have a full width Block 1 showing child categories menu using ajax. If I click on a child category, the block loads title and excerpts always in italian, even if the page is set in english. Clicking on a post redirects to the post in the correct language.
http://www.albertobonis.com/test/nutrito

3 – I tried to modify the appearance of the language menu using the string #qtransLangSwLM&title=none# to hide the word “language”, as per qTranslate-X faq, but it doesn’t work.

Thank you very much

Hi,

You have to enable the unique articles feature and you will get posts just once on your page: http://screencast.com/t/DhQxmXUIW
If you have pagination unique articles doesn’t work, try the offset feature or use a different category on blocks.

Please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/unique-articles-and-offset-newspaper/

Thanks!

Hi,

Unfortunately if you hide block title from settings, you hide also ajax next/prev pagination. Sorry for inconvenience.

If you want to hide the block 6 title on homepage please use this custom css and the pagination will not be hidden: http://screencast.com/t/6MLIzNNbbHHm

.home .td-page-wrap .td_block6 .block-title{
display: none;
}
.home .td_block6 .td-next-prev-wrap a{
top: -22px;
}

Or if you want to remove the title without border: http://screencast.com/t/v9hlIMxd

.home .td-page-wrap .td_block6 .block-title a{
display: none;
}
.home .td_block6 .td-next-prev-wrap a{
top: -25px;
}

Hope this helps!

Hi,

We have this on our list, we plan to add it in a future update, i cannot say exactly when it will be implemented because we have a lot of features on the list and we take them in order.
Until then an alternative would be to use the tag filter, set a certain tag for the posts you want to display and use it on blocks/widgets to display those posts – http://screencast.com/t/nPcAzoocJiH

Thank you, Emil G.

When i use block 12 under the slide the first item in block 12 is the same as the slide and not – slide to older item.

Hi,

There is no page sort option on theme’s sliders/blocks because the blocks were not designed to work with other post types different from post.
If you chose to use pages instead of posts in blocks/slider it would not look write as pages don’t have an featured image as posts have and because of this no images will load when use them in blocks/sliders. You could try to use the WP Pages widget: http://screencast.com/t/o3PM7KaKGIZ as this has a filter by ID and title for pages which yo can use.
Hope this helps!

Thanks
