Hey Guys! I tried to set my logo as full width (teilado.de) but i still have white blocks on both sides. I tried adding this code in custom css but it only got rid of the white space on top of the logo
.td-full-logo .td-grid-wrap, .container-fluid, img {
padding-right: 0px;
padding-left: 0px;
padding-top: 0px !important;
}
i also tried making the logo longer but it only gets smaller and does not fill the white space.
Thanks for you time 🙂
Hi
I have add the block 4 on my sidebar to show the popular post of 7 last days
I would like to add between the posts a horizontal line to separate them instead of to be blank white. Can you tell me from which file I add the code….
Hi,
Replace this code: http://screencast.com/t/D1ZfjptV8dZ
With this: http://pastebin.com/BkYCia8w
Then use this custom css in theme panel > custom css:
#custom_text {
display: inline-block !important;
width: auto;
height: auto;
position: relative;
left: 45px;
top: -6px;
font-weight: bold;
color: red !important;
}
Result: http://screencast.com/t/vCYiM4in
Hope this helps!
Thanks
First, to set a page as your homepage, do this:
1. Create a page and call it “Home” or something.
2. Go to WordPress’s “Reading” settings and set it to use a static page. Then you can choose the page you made.
Then you can customize your homepage by editing that page you made.
If you edit it and see the normal WordPress editing screen, click the blue “Backend Editor” button, which will take you to Visual Composer’s editing view.
From there, you will see the rows and columns that make up your homepage. If you want, set the homepage template at the right, from one of tagDiv’s basic ones. Then you can click on the + icons to add an element. For example, a slider, a Big Slider, a Revolution Slider at the top.
Then the main part of your homepage is usually made up of block elements. The demo homepage is made of blocks set to show their categories. When you edit a block’s settings, that’s when you would make them show your categories — and many other options.
Hope this is helpful! Post again if anything’s unclear.
The version included with the theme update today has newer version.

padding-bottom: 0px !important;
}
Can i get a fix for this please…
Issues can usually be traced to one of the following:
1) robots.txt file blocking access to uploads folder or custom image folder
2) images too large for featured image; sometimes social media systems hiccup on very large images; especially if over 25kb
3) googlebot using scrape method vs meta data for image (very common); but cannot determine best image when featured image is background element such as full-width image; this is why you sometimes see author photo or local hosted ad banner as selected image; this is why “wrong image” is shown; Google is grabbing from a related image on the page, which is not the featured image. This is because the “classic” Google parser went for the first image in the post body 100% of the time and ignored the meta data which hints the right image to use. I’ve theorized that from time to time they fallback to that system and ignore all image meta data. This is still used by Google News, for example — scraping and not using the meta data pointer to image to use.
4) google image bank overloaded; deferred; try again next day or later
5) google having hiccups parsing page unrelated to theme; issue with only grabbing photo and URL; or no image at all, or wrong image
6) facebook image grabber sometimes blocked due to their annoying ping of your web server to do geolocation and many systems like CSF will start blocking the IPs that Facebook uses, hence why you get no populated elements at all on sharing to FB; host / server needs to clear temp firewall blocks to clear up
Be aware Google has been doing massive changes to their network in August, due to phasing out author image and G+ data in SERPS, finally updating some things like the Google alerts page which was 5 years old, now updated; and long line of things changing post Panda 4.0 and Google changing their priorities for G+. How many G+ hangouts have you heard about lately? (None.)
We deal with couple dozen websites, mostly news portals updated daily with image and original news items, and run into all sorts of bizarro things with G+ lately. This usually clears up. Note that I more often see the problem with WordPress sites than non-WP sites, which is an indication there is some inherent issue which is unrelated to any specific theme, but not quite sure what it is.

So, another week and another issue has presented itself.
I’ve created a custom sidebar for a career portal on our website. On every page and post it presents perfectly – except if I add post style 3 (same goes for full width, but we don’t use that style).
There seems to be some code interfering with the sidebar coding. How can I solve this?
This is how the sidebar is supposed to look:

This is how it looks with style 3/full width:
http://i.imgur.com/7PSCjnz.jpg
As you can see my margin coding doesn’t seem to apply, leaving more space within the coloured boxes. In addition the text in the bottom element breaks onto new lines in tw places.
This is the code I use (text block in widget section):
<div style=float:left;margin-top:-16px;background-color:#2d9dd8;padding-left:14px;padding-right:24px;">
<div style="color:#f1f1f1;">

What causes this and how can I fix it?
Hi,
The thumbs are set like that via css using float:left. Use this custom css in theme panel > custom css to set it the float right:
.td-big-grid-post {
float: right;
}
.td_block_big_grid .td-big-grid-post-0 {
border-left: 3px solid #ffffff;
border-right: 0px;
}
Use !important after the value, like this float: right !important; if it dose not work.
Should work like this: http://screencast.com/t/OCjl4g1Z
Thanks
Hi Lucian,
Thank once again for your help.
We’ll be launching this week (V1) and all going to plan will provide a major testimonial for Newspaper an TagDiv to boost sales even further.
So happy I purchased this theme!!
Hi,
Please use this custom css:
.home .td_block6 .td_mod9 {
margin-bottom: 0px;
}
.home .td_block6 {
padding-bottom: 0px;
}
.home .td_block6 .block-title {
border-bottom-width: 1px;
}
.home .td_block6 .td_mod9 .td-post-text-excerpt {
padding-bottom: 15px;
}
Should work like this: http://screencast.com/t/wsB6xj1j
Thanks
Hi, folks
minor issue with latest version of theme; where a duplicate open graph image tag is being inserted into the head, which should not be there when using a separate SEO plugin.
In header.php, lines 17-26 seem to be the culprit, and are not needed for those running something like YOAST SEO, which already inserts og:image tag:
//facebook sharing fix for videos, we add the custom meta data
if (is_single()) {
global $post;
if (has_post_thumbnail($post->ID)) {
$td_image = wp_get_attachment_image_src( get_post_thumbnail_id( $post->ID ), 'full' );
if (!empty($td_image[0])) {
echo '<meta property="og:image" content="' . $td_image[0] . '" />';
}
}
}
This is the only code I could find with quick search which may be the culprit of adding duplicate og:image tag above the YOAST SEO (or other) plugin section. I would presume the query is dropping in an echo, regardless of whether it’s a video or not (in my case no videos at this time).
I will go so far as call this a bug, since it’s not an optional choice. I am going to try removing that block and see if it fixes issue. More later.
Yes. That is how WordPress themes work. That’s how you have all those smaller size images for your sidebar, homepage, categories, related items bottom of post, recommended fly out, etc. — where did you think all those thumbnails came from? They are created by WP and the theme when you upload an image.
If you wish to remove the sizes you don’t use — meaning, if you don’t use certain modules, you can comment out those sizes in the functions.php file, I believe, and also a trick I’ve advised the past 10 months on the forum has been to choose the three sizes in the WP settings > media setting (not theme panel), to the three sizes you use the most (matching modules you’re using), to not make extra sizes.
You can see the sizes created to match each module in the documentation, which is highly recommended to read, here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/modules-and-blocks/
Without any theme at all, WP will always create three additional thumbnails. With each theme, thumbs are created to match the sizes you might possibly choose to use for the specific theme layout or module.
You can search the forum for tips and help on removing image sizes you don’t use, also.
Hope that helped.
Hey,
How do I change the blocks at the big slider so the main big block will appear on the right side of the slider and the 3 little ones on the left?
Good morning guys,
Hope you can help me with this as tried in my custom css but no such luck!
I need modify my block on the homepage. (I’m using Block 6):
1. Modify line thickness to 1px
2. Reduce the margin-bottom (presently at 49px)
3. add a margin below the excerpt to give my button a little more space
Many thanks
Lucian
it occurs to me it might be easier for me to set the ‘default theme color’ which would control the sidebar widget color blocks behind the widget title text consistently, and then simply over-ride the menu color for the selected hover underline and drop downs?
If you could point me at CSS over-ride for those elements that would be awesome. 🙂
Right, but that doesn’t help with things like search box, a widget plugin such as showing RSS feed from our main site (outside of blog area), categories widget, etc., where there is no option to set color of block text or backing.
So the way it works now
1) default site-wide theme color; impacts menu and default color of sidebar widgets and comments widget areas, for the solid color behind the widget title block
2) you can change the color for featured content blocks, but then those are different from the “default” color block backing the widget title color backing
Perhaps it’s block-title span I need to over-ride?
Sorry. Usually I’m not this stupid. 🙂
(And I had uninstalled Chrome temporarily as I switched to the new 64 bit version but then some things like RoboForm not working, etc., and I need to go back to 32 bit version of Chrome until they get to v38; so can’t do the developer view hover on item find element trick…. suppose I should do that !)

Hi,
It shows like that because you use just one post, you can chose a different block like block 6 and then use this custom css to fix it page:
.page .td_mod9 .thumb-wrap {
display: none;
}
.page .td_mod9 .item-details {
margin-left: 0px;
}
Change the .page class with the .page-id class of the page you are using this css on.
Should look like this: http://screencast.com/t/HZAarNcFn0WH
You can change the excerpt length from theme panel > excerpt for each module, in this case you will have to change the module 9 excerpt length.
Hope this helps!
Thanks

I was hoping for that too. We need more modules/blocks to do text-only styles :p For the moment I did it lazily by CSS:
.thumb-wrap {
display: none !important;
}
That would target all your thumbs, so I set aside one block style for categories that don’t have images, and added that class to target those thumbs specifically.
Yes, was thinking the same thing. Currently the only way is to add a row just for the one element and then give the column a custom CSS class. But rows inside rows tend to break the layout in small ways. This is from experimenting a bit and finally deciding to just reserve a whole block style for one purpose so I could target it :p
Here is what I mean: http://www.screencast.com/t/ZhYReJ1nSU
Using Block 1 the content doesn’t extend to the full width available (red selection box).
Hello,
Most of my articles have only text, how can I get a Block that shows me the text in full width in case I don’t have images?
