Hello,

You can use W3 total cache plugin(enable Page cache) You are on a shared server or have a dedicated one?
This is from your server, have a slow response time.

We have a plugin Speed Booster that speed the theme, but is still in beta version and you will lose colors from theme customizer and also can have incompatibility with other plugins.

Thanks for the message

I’m hoping it will be out in the next week.

Hello,

We will make something with AJAX to update the views in following updates.
Thanks and please be patient.

Is there a way to get the view counts to update with a Cache Plugin like WP Super Cache?

Currently the Javascript being used to update the view counts and the comment counts does not work when a static / cached copy of the pages are loaded.

If you can explain a work around or perhaps make this code an AJAX call instead of basic javascript it would remedy the situation.

Please advise. Thank you!

Hi, folks
in testing the deployment on an almost new site; got through all the normal stuff (resize thumbs, get all plugins in, switch off old plugs not used; and made the one ‘hack’ to use existing views field).

Ran into one thing, which is the “authors” widget when placed in the default sidebar, there is no way to disable the superuser (changed from admin for security), using the visibility > hide > author > superguy doesn’t hide that user. Similarly, swapping that for ‘show’ vs hide and show 3 authors, still shows the superuser regardless of sort by name or number of posts.

Not using any cache plugin, and same behavior in both Crhome/Win7 and IE10/Win7 (not that this matters).

This is v1.4a, the first one, which also still reports something needs to be updated when it’s not. 😉

I am going to FTP the “latest” v1.4b (I added the a, b for my own peace of mind, not that you did that) up in a moment, just letting you know I ran into this glitch (only one so far).

Hi

I’ve been running my site (www.wowdiets.com) with the Newspaper theme for a couple of weeks. I’ve had the sidebar on the right but want to switch it to the left. I’ve changed the options for all pages templates to left sidebar. On some pages the sidebar is on the left, on some the right. I’ve tried with W3TC disabled and have cleared my browser cache. Any ideas?

Simon

Edit: I’m on version 1.4 of the template with a child template. The only change in the child template is to add Google Analytics in the header.php

I have installed WP Super Cache and WP Minify so far and it has improved everything a good bit. Next step was to see how the Google Adsense code is being added, did you use asyncronous or syncronous? If its not async you may want to update that in the next release since it seems to improve speed quite a bit.

Also an issue that I am having that I just can’t seem to figure out is my analytics is showing “Page Not Found” errors but not 404 somewhere. The error shown in analytics doesn’t seem to hit the 404 page though and was happening before any plugins where added. I am running WP 3.6.1 and just can’t seem to find the issue.
