Hi,

Please let me know what php, theme and WordPress version you have.
Also, have you checked for a plugin conflict? Please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones; also, if you are using a child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache, and try again.

Thank you!

Hi,

I see that your website is under construction, so I can’t check it. Can you please check when you edit the page and select the mobile viewport to see if the design is the same?
Also, Have you recently updated your plugins, theme, WordPress, php? Have you checked for a plugin conflict? Please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones; also, if you are using a child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache, and try again.

Hi,

The settings in the theme panel may be lost (there have been isolated cases), in these cases, after the theme plugins that were previously used are activated, you will have to use a backup for the theme panel -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/ before the update
Also, maybe you need to update the child theme because there may be differences.

Thank you!

This morning we updated the theme to Newspaper 12.6.4
After the machine finished automatically updating the plugins, the screen asked to register the theme since it was “not registered” (yet it had already been registered in the past).
However, we tracked down the serial number and re-recorded the theme successfully.
Although everything “seemed” to be fine, the child theme appears completely devastated: post aside, it seems that all the sections have returned to default (even the image boxes have the original placeholder).
We deleted and reinstalled Composer, cleared the cache, switched between parent and child themes, disabled all the plugins and re-activated them one by one… but no results. Now we are trying to go back to a previous backup.
What is going on???

Hi,

Please set the code in the theme panel > custom code > advance css > phones (this code will be applied only to the responsive version). This file can’t be added to the child theme.

Thank you!

Yes. BUT I had to edit wp-content\plugins\td-composer\mobile\style.css to fix it.

How can I include the fix in my child theme .css?

As I don’t want to edit wp-content\plugins\td-composer\mobile\style.css every time you issue an updated Newspaper theme?

Hello,

Please tell me where it only appears on one page or the entire site. Did you add any code or elements from another plugin?
Please follow the steps from this topic https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/error-at-zones-6models-1dom-the-model-does-not-match-the-content-currene/ if you have a child theme; please use the main theme.
You can try to revert an old revision on a page/template -> https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/complete-guide-to-wordpress-post-revisions/

Thank you!

Hello,

Do you have a child theme? If yes, please use the main theme.
Also, please execute these steps:
1. disable tagDiv Composer
2. uninstall(delete) tagDiv Composer
3. install tagDiv Composer
4. activate tagDiv Composer

Hope that helps you!

Thank you!

Hi there

I have a WooCommerce Shop on my WordPress site running Newspaper.

The Main Shop page works fine on both Desktop and Mobile themes, and I’ve created a second Shop page filtered by certain categories.

When I activate the Mobile Theme, this page (essentially a child of the parent Shop page) does not show any content.

Trying to work out why this would be the case.

Appreciate any advice or tips to sort it.

Thanks

Stephen

I’ve applied the /* width: 100%; */ fix to the style.css in my child theme and removed it from wp-content\plugins\td-composer\mobile\style.css.

But the stretched image problem returns because it’s picking up the css from \td-composer\mobile\style.css rather than the one from my child theme’s style.css.

How can I fix this to avoid editing the \td-composer\mobile\style.css every time you issue an updated Newspaper theme?

(I’ve looked through https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/, but it doesn’t help.)

Thanks
Nigel

Hi,

The problem is only for this post? Or for all posts?
Have you checked for a plugin conflict? Please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones; also, if you are using a child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache, and try again.

Hello,
Unfortunately the cloud templates can not be set in a child theme, sorry!
Also the structure for the cloud template is different from the one on standard template. The cloud templates are a CPT type and the php file represents each element that can be used with tagDiv Composer to create a template, after that those are saved in database using the structure layout and settings that have been made with tagDiv Composer.
If you want to edit an element from the single post template you can check theme on this path – wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/shortcodes/single
Thank you!

Just found the code.

It has the correct logo als data-retina option, but the default image as src.

I run Newsletter as child theme – can that be the reason?

<div class="tdb-block-inner td-fix-index">

<h1>
<span class="tdb-logo-img-wrap">
Logo
</span>
</h1>

</div>

Same issue here..

I added this code in my child theme functions.php so that I can hide the registration button when the user has already logged in but to no avail.

add_action( ‘wp_enqueue_scripts’, ‘theme_enqueue_styles’, 11);
function theme_enqueue_styles() {
wp_enqueue_style(‘td-theme’, get_template_directory_uri() . ‘/style.css’, ”, TD_THEME_VERSION, ‘all’ );
wp_enqueue_style(‘td-theme-child’, get_stylesheet_directory_uri() . ‘/style.css’, array(‘td-theme’), TD_THEME_VERSION . ‘c’, ‘all’ );

}

function hide_element_for_logged_in_users() {
if ( is_user_logged_in() ) {
// Enqueue inline CSS
wp_add_inline_style( ‘td-theme-child’, ‘.registration { display: none !important; }’ );
}
}

add_action( ‘wp_enqueue_scripts’, ‘hide_element_for_logged_in_users’ );

Hello Bettina,

I found out a way to make it happen with this code :
case 'copy_url':
// Assuming $post_id is the ID of the current WordPress post
$post_id = get_the_ID();

if ($post_id) {
$post_permalink = home_url("?p=$post_id");
return array(
'url' => $post_permalink,
'title' => 'Copy URL'
);
} else {
return array(
'url' => home_url(),
'title' => 'Copy URL'
);
}
break;

Is there any way to keep this change upon updates please ? Something like child theme does

Hello Pawel!

The child theme is not overwritten by the update. An issue for that could be the compatibility of your child theme with the new version of our theme.
If you have some custom modifications in the theme files, then better save the code and replace it after every update.

For every update, we always recommend the following:
-> First of all, please make sure you have a backup.
-> Please deactivate all the non-tested plugins with our theme before updating.
-> Update WordPress, PHP, the theme, and plugins to the latest version: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/.
-> Check all these requirements for the theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

Thank you!

Hello,

For my website, I’ve always looked at all the changes / edits myself so I never created / used a child theme. Now, I would like to ask a developer with help on a plugin and I have been asked for access to the child theme.

My question is: should I create one at this point? How do I do that without affecting the current design / layout and settings? Is there a guide to follow?

What would be an alternative way to give developer-access ?

Hi guys,
my website https://proskarzysko.pl/ wasn’t updated for pretty long time.
At the moment I have Newspaper 7.7 child theme. Is there anything in particular I should take care of?
I’ll be grateful for hints.
Thank you.
Yours happy Newspaper user 🙂
Pawel
