Hi,
I have inspected your website but I do not see this issue at the moment – https://www.screencast.com/t/JmybFarjCQ on your post pages. This can be caused by custom code in theme panel, added to the theme files or maybe through a child theme.
Thanks
Hello,
It seems the re is no top margin at all on posts. Did you remove any rules from the css file? The top margin is nowhere to be found in the code either. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!

Hello,
A child theme is not update proof. No type of customization is. If you use a child theme it should be updated on each update if he files in your child theme have been modified in the main theme update. We sugest using the child theme that comes with the latest version of the theme.
Thank you!
Hi,
If the child themes are created properly for each website – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/ and activated there should be no problem in using them. Try and go over the problematic ones and also check if you are getting any kind of errors related to this.
Thanks
Hello zumaxb,
If you will deeply consult our guide regarding on child theme, you will see that the files which are included in wp booster core, cannot be overwritten by child theme, sorry! If you want to make the above modifications in the child theme, it is not possible because you will have to make some changes in td_menu.php, files which is included in wp_booster and it cannot be overwritten by child theme.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello there, I’ve updated the theme from 4.6 to 7.8.
I updated theme, wordpress (4.7.3), visual composer and all plugins.
But the home page is full of errors:
[td_slide_big limit=”12″ category_id=”4″ category_ids=”247, 128, 127, 8, 96, 9″ autoplay=”7″]
[td_block2 limit=”8″ ajax_pagination=”next_prev” category_id=”1″ header_color=”#1e73be” show_child_cat=”all”][td_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_1″]

Etc.etc…
You can see the home page here:

Please, can you help me to solve this issue?
Thanks.
I appreciate your help – your support has always been great!
Are you sure that I have to overwrite anything in the child theme? I was using based on Newspaper V7.6 and have updated to V7.8.
I do not see any changes – correct?
Hi.
I just downloaded the 7.8 update and i’ve got a question about the functions.php file in child theme.
It says “Newspaper V6.3+ Child theme” but my current version (before 7.8 update) says “Newspaper 7 Child theme”. And one of the last lines of code seems a bit different. Why and which version should I use ?
Thanks.
Hello,
I understand that you receive a lot of support requests and you probably skim read most postings, however, I have tried very hard to do my due diligence in troubleshooting this problem. I am sending the login credentials for the website.
1) As per my post on March 23 “However, if I create a new post and embed the same Instagram post, the Instagram post and not the URL may appear.” I would expect that your test would display the social media posts. Because if I use the same social media post in a new WordPress post, it displays.
2) You wrote on March 27 “The suggestion to disable the plugins was to double check that that plugins are not causing this, since the links seem to work and display properly on my end.“.
I had already wrote on March 23 “I have disabled all plugins.“. I had also disabled Visual Composer to test for a conflict there.
As you stated on March 27, Visual Composer has no effect on the post page, so your statement on March 24 “ Also please install the Visual composer plugin as it is an essential and required in the proper functionality of the theme” implies the problem might be related to Visual Composer. If that was not your intent, then your statement is completely irrelevant to the problem because as you stated, it has no effect on the post page.
Again, this is a dev version of the website for testing. We are using Visual Composer on the live website but we cannot easily isolate the problem with plugins activated.
3) You state on March 27 “After a search on the internet it seems that other people are having this issue with some of the embeds – https://wordpress.org/support/topic/youtube-embed-not-working-anymore-after-451-update/ and it could be a hosting issue.”
However, I stated on March 23 “Switching to 2016 theme solves the problem instantly.”
How is this a WordPress update issue or a hosting issue if the problem is solved by changing from the Newspaper theme to the 2016 theme? And then the problem re-occurs when switching back to the Newspaper theme? Also, did you read the thread YOU linked? It is for a near isolated incident with WordPress 4.5.1 that was resolved with WordPress 4.5.2. How was that supposed to be beneficial to my scenario considering embed work perfectly fine with the default theme activated?
So, let me restate.
Server software Apache/2.4.25 (Unix) OpenSSL/1.0.2g
PHP Version 7.0.17
post_max_size 50M
max_execution_time 600
max_input_vars 5000
WP version 4.7.3
WP multisite enabled No
WP Language es_ES
WP Memory Limit 512 MB/request
Theme Newspaper
Theme version 7.7.1
Theme database version 7.7.1
Visual Composer 5.1
All required plugins (Visual Composer) are currently active. NO other plugins are active. Three themes are installed. Newspaper, Newspaper Child, and 2016. Newspaper (not Newspaper Child) is the current active theme.
With this setup, some social media embed are not embedding.
Switching to 2016 theme and reloading the same page, all social media embed work properly.
Switching back to Newspaper theme, same social media embeds are not working again. Those same social media embeds will work properly if reposted in a new post.
This information combined with all of the other information provided above should clearly explain the problem. I have completely isolated the problem down to the Newspaper theme. It is possible that the Newspaper theme could have a conflict with the hosting environment, however, I have posted my environment information above and I believe that it meets or exceeds all recommendations. Like I also stated above, I am not receiving any errors or noticies alerting me to any problems.
If you have any questions or suggestions that have not already be answered or attempted, please let me know. I would like to get this resolved as soon as possible as it does impact our readership.
Thank you,
Thanks. Do you know if there’s a way to create a function I can place in an external plug-in to do this (so I don’t need to modify the core theme or create a child)?
Thanks again!
Hi,
Seems to be an WordPress warning, a suggestion would be to go back through any changes recently made to the theme files or WordPress if you have made any. You could also try to deactivate the child theme if you are using one. Also try disabling all your plugins except Visual composer, clear your cache and check to see if the login issue is still there. Probably this is caused by a plugin or custom modifications, since we did not have any kind of reports with the login, providing this warning. Please let us know how it goes.
Thanks
Hi Simion,
I already use child theme but it (obviously) depends on the main theme.
The point is that I dont need all the 1024kbps of declarations that are present in the main css theme, so I’m wondering if through less I could compile the main theme only with the components that I need.
Hello zumaxb,
Please ensure that you are using the proper child theme version which comes bundled with the theme core files. Also, ensure that your data/files overwritten with child theme are according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/

Hi,
There seems to be an issue with the demo install process at the moment, and we are currently investigating this issue. If in the future you decide to uninstall a demo or use another one instead, all the dummy content will be removed, so it would be best that you do not edit this content, and use your own content. Periodical website backups are also helpful and should be made.
Basically what a demo does is to use a predefined layout and populate it with content, so you can get an idea about what can be achieved using the theme. All the demo content in located in the theme folder – https://www.screencast.com/t/wxthH5w0q2 and you could use elements from them (homepage, theme panel settings, stylesheet etc) to create your website without actually installing it, if that is what you want.
You could always create your own pages using elements from Visual composer and uniquely personalize them the way you want. Or use one of the available Visual composer page templates – https://www.screencast.com/t/WLELbX1q
The child theme version in the stylesheet does not affect it’s functionality.
Thank you for understanding!
Hi all, I manage a multisite wordpress installation, I made the child themes for each site and sometimes absolutely randomly the theme reset itself on some sites of the multisite installation.
Any help?
Thanks anticipately.
Hello arslankerim,
Do you are using the child theme? Try to switch the theme to the main theme, clear all your caches and check the results. If your problem is still there nad if the theme updated was been made via FTP method, please provide your website URL so I can take a closer look at it and also, so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!

Hi Catalin,
Yes, I am using a child theme and have imported/copied the respective files & folders from the main theme to the child.
I totally understand that you do not support these kinds of detailed adjustments.
Only one more question:
Are there other files I should also copy to the child theme? may that be the problem? Or is it simply a matter of finding the proper CSS rules in my custom CSS?
Hello zumaxb,
Please notice that the above solution work as expected and my end and for other clients, sorry! I suppose that your problems are on your backend, sorry! Probably you have any others customizations through your code, probably you use a child theme and that’s why you lost the main menu style. Try it with more attention and try to find where is the problem, because this solution works as expected and it is tested.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
1. I have installed desired demo. Before install I selected to install WITH NO content, however all content installed itself anyway. I don’t want to have any content as I want to have my own.
step 1 – http://prntscr.com/eouqcc
step 2 – http://prntscr.com/eouqo1
result: http://prntscr.com/eour61
http://prntscr.com/eourlh
2. I would like to keep whatever I set up in this demo (with my content) and I don’t want to loose those settings and customization. What would happen if I want to try different demo? Will I lose that all after installing any other one?
3. Is it possible to have all settings and customization made in demo permanent? Exactly the same as in demo but without installing it, so it cannot be uninstalled?
4. I have noticed styles.css included in version 7.8 child theme has version 7.7c. Is that ok?
Hope you can help,
Regards,
Hi!
I have a problem with the mobile menu. When I press the hamburger icon it doesn’t open the menu list, 99% of the time. The page just zooms out. But sometimes after a reload or changed setting it works.
I’ve been going through the settings, deactivated plugins, changing from child theme and back, removing custom css, activated and deactivated mobile theme, clearing cache an so on.
What would be the best solution to solve this problem?
Hello,
The issue is the plugin is not tested with our theme and could provide mixed results. You mention the alt tags are missing. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Then test the alt tags with our theme and see if they show up properly.
Thank you!
