H,
It will be better to use a child theme, in this way, when you’ll update the theme, the changes will not be lost.
The files that need to be edited are those that are used, if you use post template 1 then you need to edit this one wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newsmag/parts/single/loop-single-1.php -> single_template_1.php and if is the default template, please try this one -> loop-single.php
I hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hi tricksraman0923, one of the best solutions it is the one recommended by Satwik. You can use the code suggested and you can set it in a child theme, there is a file called functions.php -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
Thank you!
Hi,
You can try this custom css -> https://i.imgur.com/XmdpYGV.png
It should fix the problem for all browsers
.td-footer-template-wrap .tdm-social-item-wrap:last-child .tdm-social-text {
margin-right: 18px !important;
}
Please set the code in the theme panel > custom code> custom css.
Let me know the results!
Hi, I need to add a div tag and some javascript to the single post template, so that it loads on all single posts. Can I do it without creating a Child theme? In this case, how should I do it?
I have tried to modify the loop-single.php file to see if it works correctly, but the changes are not showing.
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
Please try this custom css:
body .tagdiv-type ul li:not(.blocks-gallery-item):last-child, body .tagdiv-type ol li:not(.blocks-gallery-item):last-child {
margin-bottom: 0;
list-style: disc;
margin-left: 21px;
}
Set the code in the theme panel > custom code > custom css and it should resolve the problem.
Let me know the results!
Hi Calin,
I’ve actually made it. The parent theme text is still the same, but I found a way to change just the one from child theme.
Tks
So my issue is as beautiful as your current ajax filtering is, I need it to have these:
Filter between latest posts, most popular 24/7/all time.
Also I need to Disable the block title because I don’t need it?
Can I have it arranged vie composer? If not how can add my own ajax filter via API? If api doesn’t hav this feature, which files I need to edit in my child theme or plugin?
Hey there,
I’m using child theme with an update server.
I’m wondering if I can change this update message and actions just for the child theme:

Wanna do this because when I hit the Update button it actually updates the parent theme instead.
I’ve tried coding this but got unsuccessful.
Any idea?
Hi,
I have just installed and imported a theme with Newspaper. However the header appears unformatted:
See site at electricdrives-staging.co.uk
Can anybody help me fix this?
Hello!
Yes, it could be a plugin conflict with some non-tagdiv plugins active.
The child theme is not overwritten by the update. An issue for that could be the compatibility of your child theme with the new version of our theme(if you use some files which were updated).
If you have some custom modifications directly in the theme files, then better save the code and replace it after the update.
Thank you!
Are you saying to try updating it with all other plugins deactivated except the ones required by the theme?
I haven’t tried this but I could next time there’s a theme update.
Also I am using a child theme. Should I switch and activate the default Newspaper theme when updating?
I get the following error when editing the author page with TagDiv
Errors at elements: 1(models) : 0(dom). The model does not match the content Current state has involved an issue. You could try an UNDO operation (CTRL+Z / CTRL+SHIFT+Z)
This is a fresh install, So no, I did not mess with the child theme or headers yet.
I seen one of the threads say it could be a plugin issue so I disabled all plugins and enabled the tagdiv plugins. Same thing.
Any idea?
Hi,
As far as I can tell I answered you, I think the problem was related to a function set in child theme.
If there is still a problem please reply via email.
Thank you!
Hi,
To translate the weather widget you can use a translate plugin, for example you can try the steps from this guide -> https://crocoblock.com/knowledge-base/articles/jetelements-how-to-translate-widget-added-content/
Yes, you can duplicate the widget element to display more locations -> Alba Iulia, RO
I’m glad that page.php is working fine from child theme.
Thank you!
Hello, I understand not all languages are not supported, mine also. How I can manually translate the weather widget, and is it possible to show multiple cities?
Btw, the page.php is working just fine from child theme 🙂
Hi,
The above code is not a css is a function and that need to be set in functions.php, for this is recommended to use a child theme.
Unfortunately, our theme do not have an option for nofollow on feature images, so maybe the code that you found can help with this.
Thank you!
Hi,
Unfortunately, not all the files can be set in a child theme. That filed that was edited normally should be just copy and past in the child theme (there is no need to set it in an subfolder).
Hello,
The weather widget will automatically translate itself to the language from the theme panel if a translation is available – https://forum.tagdiv.com/weather-widget/ so it all depends on the language set if there is no automatic translation for example if the location in the Bengali language, then it will not be translated.
Maybe you can use another weather plugin or a plugin that translate plugins.
Thank you!
Hi Catlin,
I had to change page.php in wp-content\plugins\td-composer\legacy\Newsmag, how can I copy it to the child theme so I can preserve it for future updates?
Hello!
Please check our documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
Thank you!
Hi harding13, it is possible that you have some extra plugins that are interfering and that it is way the custom files are not displayed in the posts. Please make a test using only tagDiv plugins (in case that you are using a child theme, please set the main theme) and see if the problem is still persisting.
Let us know the results!
Okay how can I update my child theme? I haven’t done any update on the files yet but I copied all the theme files to child theme while creating it. What should I do?

The child theme is not overwritten by the update. An issue for that could be the compatibility of your child theme with the new version of our theme(if you use some files which were updated).

Hi Ckyd,
Using the Newspaper theme the Google Analytics need to be inserted here -> https://i.imgur.com/LfZlRu4.png
About that code, I think that it is a part from a function, and usually those need to be set in functions.php, for this we recommend to use the child theme .
In case that the code need to be set in the header.php then the file path is wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/header.php
I hope this will help you!
I need to update some theme files but I need this update too especially because new ad feature? What should I do? How can I modify theme files or save them from getting overridden by the update?
Hi,
I follow the documentation in https://forum.tagdiv.com/custom-post-type-support, adding the single template from (td-standard-pack/Newspaper/parts/single) to my child theme and renamed to loop-my-custom-post-type.php & single-my-custom-post-type.php. But the single post show 404 error. Do I have to do any manual coding in the php or did I missed out any steps?
I am using Metabox plugin to create my CPTs
