The Newspaper theme you guys have built is excellent in so many ways. But one real shortcoming is the difficulty in making custom page types. For example, with the current proliferation of fake news, most news aggregators, (Facebook included), expect news orgs to have at least 10 additional pages that cover ethics, ownerships, masthead, public policy, corrections, etc.
But Newspaper theme in its current state, provides no template for creating custom page types. So I have to create a cloud template, write the info into a column text box, optimize by screen size, copy the entire code to a new page, then copy the column text into the mobile editor and optimize everything for AMP. None of this can be done in Gutenberg and just saved as a custom page type.
With the critical nature of these additional pages in today’s media ecosystem, future newspaper updates should include a “policies” custom and page type/taxonomy.
I find that sometimes it looks like the footer starts to load — I see it start to load but then I see the square tagdiv loading symbol and it loads another post, then I can just scroll through from post to post.
I’m using the cloud templates for footer and post body. However, I recently changed to a new footer, but saw this behavior before.
Then, the same thing just happened but the footer loaded twice instead of not at all.
Any ideas what could be causing this?

I realize this is an old post, but I am wondering if you ever found a fix. I love WPDiscuz but want to use cloud templates and I find that in cloud templates, the comment form for WP Discuz shows but the comments will not load.

A solution for this could be to create a new single post cloud template, edit it with TagDiv Composer to remove the single featured image element and then you assign this single post cloud template which you just created into whatever article you need. You can assign it by edit a post normally(without TagDiv Composer) and you will find a section at the bottom of the page.

1. Thumbs on category must be inserted manually. There is no automatic option at the moment.

3. Unfortunately this option is not possible at the moment. Thumbs are created from the Featured image.

I really believe that this document.write() is the main problem for the higher scores shwon in the Field Data and in the Origin Sumary fields in Page Speed Insigths.

GTmetrix show that “for users on slow connections, external scripts dynamically injected via document.write() can delay page load by tens of seconds”.
So, i think that the theme need an urgent update, specially before may 2021, otherwise we gonna have to change the theme, and i do not want to do that because i like the Newspapper a very LOT.

So you can add your ad code there and set up the Par(Paragraph).

In Newspaper v10.3.3 was add a better support for WPML plugin -> https://i.imgur.com/vAjt3aG.png now you can set the header, footer, category and single template on each language in them panel, for this you need to use the translate for cloud templates -> https://i.imgur.com/Y99kgbB.png in this way on each language you’ll have only the templates made for that language, for example https://i.imgur.com/UJbzFFp.png -> https://i.imgur.com/TWZLxQZ.png -> https://i.imgur.com/CjsSkAC.png
You can duplicate a cloud template like this -> https://i.imgur.com/BLYyLc4.png after that you can edit it with tagDiv Composer.
The second method is the classic one using the strings translate, this is more harder -> you need to use the this option -> https://i.imgur.com/59kl17v.png in order to use the string translate, for example for the header -> https://prnt.sc/rumozl and in WPML String -> https://prnt.sc/rumqn5 then you need to set the id of the header you want to be set for that language -> https://i.imgur.com/ghCu54I.png -> https://i.imgur.com/UAgVTC6.png -> https://prnt.sc/rumrbd

I can’t do changes when I open my custom header (Cloud Template) with TagDiv composer. It looks like the header-iframe is refreshing every 2 seconds.

I have created a cloud template to use with certain category. It works fine with default language but when I switch to English and go to theme panel so select template there is nothing on the list beside theme template. But if I switch back to default language the list show up.
When I visit cloud template list. The template is there.
Need help. I am using 10.3.5 at the moment. Please help.

Whenever I try to use the TD Cloud Library (inside the TD Composer, or simply trying to import a new Cloud Template) I face an error message that says: Invalid reply from server endpoint.
It’s not a problem of memory (as I have 1GB alocated in my VPS to this theme), neither of SSL (my whole site is in https).
What may be causing this?

I am editing a the Category template 8 from the cloud library but I am struggling to add a dropdown category sibling list.
I would ideally like the list to dropdown after 1 sibling.
i.e. Instead of having sibling 1, sibling 2, sibling 3 then dropdown button
Sibling 1 – dropdown button (with all other siblings). Like you see in Category template 30 – History PRO
Could you help me to resolve this issue?

If you want to override the header from ” “/wp-content/plugins/td-standard-pack/Newspaper/header.php” you need to copy the header.php file from there and set it in child theme
Also, what do you want to edit to the header file? maybe it can be done with Cloud Header.

When designing a new cloud template for posts, you have a option from the TD composer to put “related posts” at the bottom of the article above the footer. Do you have a work around for using “pages” instead of “posts”? So instead of displaying wordpress posts we can display wordpress pages.
