Hi,
@garyjones, sorry for the inconvenience, but this is not by choice, unfortunately. The theme has to be in accordance with the new Envato rules -> https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000472383-WordPress-Theme-Requirements, so these modifications were necessary. Moving the files into the composer plugin has consequences for the child theme as well. Maybe a solution will be found, we will make a guide if that will be the case. I can’t say what will happen at the moment, our developers will try to find the best solution. The cloud templates don’t have PHP or code files, they must be built/edited in the composer. You can work on them with the composer in the front end.
@knaggsy, I’m sorry about that but please notice that all of the Envato themes will follow and integrate these changes. As a remark, the deadline for this implementing will be until the final of May. If you want, you can provide some examples of themes which are Envato compliant and also, which were integrated these changes.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hello,
Most of the theme files were moved into the tagdiv composer plugin as per the requirements of envato: https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000472383-WordPress-Theme-Requirements.
We wrote an article on the subject here: https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
Moving forward with such requirements, a child theme will only work with functions.php, and style.css as there are very few files left in the main theme as envato requires all functionality to be added through plugins.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for understanding.
Hi @TheWrestlePost,
Please reply on this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/problem-with-td-composer-plugin/
Thank you!
Hello !
I’ve seen you’re facing this issue for a while now. Let’s clear all the steps one more time:
You must have tagDiv Cloud library activated and running: https://www.screencast.com/t/4rj6sVusF4 ; Otherwise the demo will appear like this: https://www.screencast.com/t/ZtCzIJUpLVdY
Also to work everything you have to have tagDiv composer activated. If the problem persists please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) and your website URL so we can take a closer look at it.
Thank you !
Hi Simion C.,
First of all, thank you very much for having responded to my problem, I thank you very much. I have two doubts about it that I would like to know if you can help me with them:
1.- How can I find out which template I am using in the posts I am doing? I can not know which is the template that is being viewed …
2.- If I modify the templates files inside the td-composer plugin, in the future when there is an update of the plugin, will I lose the changes that I have made? Is there a solution in this regard?
Once again, thank you very much for attending to my request for support.
Greetings,
Alex
Hello Calin,
Oh ok thank you for that.
But we have this warning http://prntscr.com/njf963 saying the current page content is not created by tagdiv composer. It’s confusing. We used Technology demo, you can see it here http://dilution.xyz
Also, do you know where can we change this background http://prntscr.com/njfbf8
Thank you!
Sorry for asking, but I couldn’t find anything through search.
Is there any way to display a single YouTube video embed in homepage TD composer? I have found video playlist (which is not what I want), row video background, but nothing concrete for embedding a single video.
Hi,
That is because that page was build with tagDiv Composer using elements from tagDiv Cloud Library not with visual composer, if you want to use that page you need to edit it with tagDiv Composer, or you need to create a new one using visual Composer.
From Visual Composer to tagDiv Composer -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
That demo use single post templates from tagDiv Cloud Library, you need to click on edit template -> https://www.screencast.com/t/rAaKuTD09 click on content on row and stretch the row -> https://www.screencast.com/t/RIp6nzQ2 on “Stretch row and content”. this will make the content on post to be full width, please do not use the visual composer on templates or pages tat gas build with tagDiv Composer.
Thank you!
Hi,
So the issue started to happen after you activated the theme with the license key? Should work regardless of the theme being activated or not.
Usually composer issues are caused by these elements – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-not-working/
You could try what is suggested there as a first step. If the problem remains you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as cPanel. We will take a look at the problem. Include a link to this topic in the email. Let us know.
Thanks

Hi,
No need to activate the WPBakery and Revolution slider plugins, bundled plugins don’t need a license or activation code.
An article about it here – https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/213762463-Bundled-Plugins?_ga=2.148850615.1240581804.1556603480-1715937315.1492175355
Simply install the plugins and use them, ignore the activation messages that may appear.
When there will be updates for the theme we will include the latest version of the bundled plugins at the time – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-install-revolution-slider-v5/
Please let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
If you want to add some code in More article box you need to set the code in td_more_article_box.php in Newspaper v9.7 this is in wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/common/wp_booster/td_more_article_box.php in previews version was in wp-content/themes/Newspaper/wp_booster/td_more_article_box.php
Thank you!
Hi @KokoShanel,
Our demos are build with tagDiv Composer, also some of them like Fast news, iGossip, Gaming need tagDiv Cloud Library , in order to make them to work ( to import them ) you’ll need to have tagDiv Composer activate, also if the demo use cloud templates you need to have tagDiv Cloud library activate too;
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/JSzxWfjT
Installing Demos -> https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-installing-demos/
If there is still a problem, please provide some screenshots.
Thank you for your understanding!

Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
Please tell me, you are using a Header Cloud Template for your header section? If yes, please notice that you can edit the logo element with TD Composer and add every logo you want.
Thank you!
Hi,
If you are using the Newspaper v9.7 you need to activate tagDiv Composer
Updating the Core of the tagDiv Themes for Envato WordPress Requirements -> https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
If there are still some problems, please provide some more details, some screenshots or a link were I can take a closer inspection to this problem.

Hi,
Please check the blocks with tagDiv Composer and set on theme the changes for excerpt, for example -> https://www.screencast.com/t/1qRPJPdGz this settings will override the theme panel settings.
Thank you!
Hi,
By default the subtitle is a paragraph. I tried to change it to a h2 by editing the post template file the post is using in my case (template 1)- http://prntscr.com/njdf0q
The design seems to remain the same – http://prntscr.com/njdfcy because the CSS applies to the class not the HTML tag.
This can’t be done by a theme setting, only by modifying the post template files. After the 9.7 update they are located in the tagDiv composer plugin – http://prntscr.com/njdg2j
Only the default post template remained in the theme folder – http://prntscr.com/njdgjw
So depending on the post template used, you could modify the files and make the subtitle be a h2 instead of a paragraph.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
If that sidebar is made with widgets you can check our documentation for custom css -> https://tagdiv.com/how-to-create-custom-code-in-newspaper-theme/
Here is an example of code
.td-pb-span4 .td_block_1 {
margin-bottom: 10px;
}
If that sidebar is in one page and is make with tagDiv Composer you can edit it and change with tagDiv Composer.
Thank you!
Hello !
I have reviewed your website and indeed there is a problem with your newsletter. Please take a look at our documentation regarding the Newsletter plugin and make sure that all the steps are done correctly: https://tagdiv.com/tagdiv-newsletter-plugin/
Try to update the permalinks again (just save the settings) and see if the issue is still there. If this doesn’t work disable all plugins except for Visual Composer, update the permalinks and see if the issue is still there. https://www.screencast.com/t/LakkvN1Dh
Thank you!
Hello !
Yes: https://www.screencast.com/t/RPqCteujCb ; You can try reinstalling the template. Go to cloud library – select template and install it. Go to your homepage and open tagdiv composer and select Header Manager, choose your template and you’re ready to edit it: https://www.screencast.com/t/Yke80sGuwJsP
If the problem persists please let me know !
Thank you !
Hi,
Many of the theme files are now in the tagDiv composer plugin, including the header template files. This has happened after the 9.7 update, here is an article about it
– https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
So now the header files are here – http://prntscr.com/njd2d3
This also means these files can’t be modified in a child theme anymore, as it was possible before, only directly in the plugin.
Maybe you could use the header builder and a cloud header template to do what is needed. The header can now be built with the tagDiv composer
– https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-customize-the-header-manager/
There are headers built by us that you can modify and use, or build your own using the header builder elements – http://prntscr.com/nfnapk
– https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Headers
So adding a block in the header would be a matter of drag and drop. You could experiment with these cloud header templates, maybe it is possible to do what you want using them. Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hello !
Yes! To do so you have to use the tagDiv Composer. Go to add element -> Ad box and drag it to your sidebar. Once you have done that task you can simply edit the content of it from the composer’s options: https://www.screencast.com/t/wodw6A1B5JP
Thank you !
Hi,
From what I know there are plans to make this plugin more compatible with the theme for easier integration, in a future update. Due to the recent updates however, this has become harder, we will try to find a solution for it
– https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
After theme update 9.7 many of the theme files have been moved in the tagDiv composer plugin, so the modifications would have to be done there now. The single files are here
– http://prntscr.com/njcz7o
Thanks
