How to update Visual Composer ?
Today, Composer is 3.7.2. In Newspaper theme 2.1.1, Composer is 3.6.8.
In admin, there is 1 Update Notification. But no plugin or theme seem to need an update. However, I think it’s Visual Composer.

Daca apas butonul publish/ update pagina se incarca iar elementele adaugate dispar din composer.

Firstly – my the very big thanks for this theme. After wasting time and money I’d finally found the only thing that can be named as Real WP-Theme for News ))
Secondly – one small question. I have some custom taxonomies for my posts (world regions, f.e.) made by “Simple Taxonomy” plugin. Is there any chance to make news-blocks in Visual Composer by these taxonomies? Right now it’s possible to form them only with built-in categories.

We released yesterday the 2.1 update and we finally added the google adsense asynchronous code.
@thomaspe – we are well aware that we may need to improve the menus 🙂 . I don’t know yet if we should continue and finish the panel or go after the menu system first.
@betterretailing – we encountered a lot of problems when we try to implement per category color. I’m sure we can figure it out!
– the visual composer components are there but we didn’t manage to style them. I wanted for quite some time to enable it on posts and the idea to include the default controls is grate in that case.
Thanks guys for the encouraging messages and please don’t get mad if we don’t manage to release all the features that you request. We have almost 100 feature requests and issues on our tracker and we receive new ones daily. We have to be very careful what we pick. We are also experimenting with a lot of things that go from the youtube api, an unique grid system, to crazy server / hosting profiling tools 🙂 .

@betterretailing: Have a look at the funnction.php. There a some funtions deactivated for the visual composer.

Also as a suggestion please could bring some of the Visual Composer elements from Magazinly across?
e.g: FAQs, Separator, Separator with text, Gallery, Call to Action button, Accordion…

Let me describe what’s happening.. let me know if you have any thoughts.
“Sidebar A” includes a “Block 1”
“Page A” uses “Sidebar B”
When I add a “Block 1” to “Page A” using the visual composer.. my sidebar on “Page A” will ONLY use “Sidebar A” (which also includes a block 1). No matter what the page template settings are.
Any idea?

We did a lot of work cutomizing an existing website with your theme on our dev environment, I mean we use a lot of what you call visual composer, now we’d like to go to preprod then prod. The thing is the database already exists on live and we’d like to be able to export/import what we already did on dev otherwise it will cost us again a lot of times,

How about a multi select input to select which authors to show? in the visual composer “Author Box” tool
I only want to show 2 Authors on this specific page.. so far the only way is to “exclude” the 25 others.

Innerhalb der 3 Spalten legst “Block 3” an. Dort kannst du ja Kategorie auswählen und Anzeige auf z.B. 3 Artikel setzen Excerpt gibt es hier nicht, da müste man im der entsprechenden Datei “fummeln”. Oder hat er das mit Bordmitteln so hinbekommen?
I’ve got the custom block and module working. But I’ve run into another issue. I’m displaying sub categories and using the Load More button to load posts using Ajax. Except that when ajax loads more posts it’s not displaying them in the 4 column layout I’ve programmed into the custom block and module. I assume there is another file I have to modify to output the correct ajax?
Also, by any chance, will the Teaser Grid component of Visual Composer ever be supported?

Each block, slider can be configured like you want to get article from what category you want, sorted like you want, latest, featured, popular, etc.
The homepages is build using Page Builder(Visual Composer) Do you use it before?
Just edit your homepage and start the Visual Composer(the blue button) Form there you can add, remove, edit all the components on the page.

I chose to use the “One click demo install” on my website, and chose this version, as I couldn’t find the way to get this appearance via the Visual Composer (it was ok for the big slide, but I couldn’t find the way to get the blocks organized in the category “Don’t Miss” on the exemple I showed you).
How to “manually” build such a homepage ? I also would like to know how to display different categories on the homepage, like in your exemple (i mean, for instance, how to select other articles in “Dont’ miss” ? Rather than the latest articles, which appear also in this line…).
And my last question is : is it possible to choose not to display every article on the big slide ?? As soon as I add an article, its pic appears on the big slide, wihch is not always what I want !

I want to create a new page template using Page Builder (Visual Composer). Then I want to use that page template as category template.
I know how to create a new page layout using Visual Composer but I don’t know I will set this page layout as the default layout for category pages.

Is there a way to change the number of columns, image size, and remove the post meta info (page views, comment count), and in alphabetical order, without creating a custom block/module?
I’m trying to create a page that lists my company’s staff from a custom post type. But obviously it doesn’t need post views and comment counts. Nor does it need to display content from the post.
I could easily create the page using Visual Composer, but I have a lot of staff, so I would like to have the listing paginated, preferably the Load More button. I also would need to use just a normal thumbnail size due to the portrait nature of each person’s photo. The aspect ratio of the thumbnails in Block3 just doesn’t lend itself to portraits of people.

Seems like the ajax doesn’t work properly and WP is not recording my changes… 🙁
