@howtoisolve All this css files are moved automatically by the speed booster plugin to the footer when active. Noticed that are also loaded from CDN so you should consider emptying cache and purging files.

Hi,

I guess it refers to the fact that you need to add the function for the ticker inside a wrapping div container. Meaning that you code should look something like this: <div>your thicker</div>
You should also consider add the css like instructed here: http://metaphorcreations.ticksy.com/faq/1749
Unfortunately you would need custom work for this and at this moment the time doesn’t allow us to offer and kind of custom work if you don’t have any html/css/php basic knowledge we suggest you to get someone to do it fore you.

Thanks

Hi,

Looks like you have some missing required files so please make sure you have updated the theme right like this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme/
If you haven’t removed the theme’s files before updating and you just copied the latest theme version files over the old ones (overwritten) then your custom css should still be there.
Hope this helps, please let me know.

Thanks

Hi,

Applying the css provided above should change the transparency of the slider in mobile screens also.
For the title’s proportionality and line breaks, please provide an URL to your site as I need to inspect it in order to provide an accurate solution for it.

Thanks

Hi,

Yes, you can edit the “homepage – blank template” file which I can see you are using for your homepage and add the text you need using html and hide it via custom css or you can search of another way to do it.
Hope this helps!

Hi,

Unfortunately the width of the content can’t be modified easily. You can do it but you will have to modify the css for other containers that make up the page so it wouldn’t be easy and you will need custom work for that. You may wanna get someone to help you with that if you don’t know how to do it.
Sorry for the inconvenience!

Thanks

I emailed you guys earlier, so without having to post sensitive links, as you don’t have private posting on this forum, I would ask you look at these bugs.

1. Padding missing in framework of theme, so posts with sidebars etc are when full justified, having no padding. Same with left column, right down to authors image hard against edge etc…

2. Theme Panel settings for Page settings, ie colors, fonts works for NEW page creation but is not converting existing pages, which remain the same (however, Panel settings for posts work with both new and old posts).

3. Revolution slider hides menu – fixed by adding custom css

.fullwidthbanner-container .fullwidthabanner {z-index: 0;}

(may help someone or future updates to theme).

Apart from these bugs, very pleased with this release, well done.

Cheers
Mark

Hi, folks
my first contribution for coding stuff on the new theme; for those using Disqus and need to tweak the pesky spacing at bottom of posts to better fit layout, try using the following in your custom CSS box (might work if added to style.css but didn’t try that).

#disqus_thread {
padding: 30px 15px 0;
margin: 0 auto;
border-top:1px solid #DDD;
}

Make sure you upload only the main theme files; don’t install the “all files” zip from ThemeForest… that has docs, psd files, plugins, etc.

You want to install the smaller of the two files on Themeforest, if you’re installing via theme panel with .zip.

BEST WAY TO INSTALL WP THEMES:
Ideal way is still to
1) unzip theme folder “Newsmag” on your HD
2) upload via FTP/SFTP to your /wp-content/themes/ folder
3) upload the plugins unzipped to /wp-content/plugins/
4) switch to default theme from your old theme
5) turn off *all* running plugins
6) clear your cache(s), turn off caching (!),
7) activate the Visual Composer plugin
8) activate the new Newsmag theme
9) launch the theme panel
10) reactivate only the plugins you 100% need to make sure they work (some plugins WILL NOT WORK properly with WP 4.01 until you update the plugins!).

Clear the cache in your WEB BROWSER FULLY and restart web browser; this clears any CSS/Java used by your previous theme admin, and theme, so that you see the new CSS/JS properly (seriously, this is cause for huge number of “my new theme doesn’t load right” or “admin panel doesn’t have any boxes!” errors).

If you’re running WordPress older than 4.0 be aware there is a very serious cross-site scripting vulnerability (e.g., WP 3.9.2). You should be running WP 4.0+ to use this theme properly.

This is standard practice for switching to a brand new theme and good habit to get into doing it this way to ensure you clear cobwebs on old, and cleanly move to new.

Hope that helps! 🙂

Bro, install autoptimize or speed booster pack. Thes plugins can unify, compress and send to footer selective js and css to eliminate blocking renders.

He has suggested wrapping the ticker in a container div (appropriate to the coding/css of your theme). I have no idea what he is talking about… could you help?

@Lucian, I emailed you about this but I do not know which you see first. I used the patch and it gave me errors so I reinstalled the full theme. It looks like it updated but im unable to access /wp-admin. When trying to go there, I receive:

Warning: require_once(wp_booster/td_review.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/klsbo/public_html/wp-admin/includes/td_wordpres_booster.php on line 71

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required 'wp_booster/td_review.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/klsbo/public_html/wp-admin/includes/td_wordpres_booster.php on line 71

Hopefully we can resolve this as soon as possible. (I also forgot to save the custom CSS in the Theme Panel, I imagine that is gone now after uploading the updated theme?)

Thanks.

Hi,
I need to turn off all Ads on Mobile devices and Tablets. Standard ‘Theme Panel’ function doesn’t work. I tried to use Custom CSS instead, but it just hides the ad boxes. And when Ad provider send any pop-up ads I see them on Mobiles and Tablets.

Any suggestions?

Steps to reproduce:
1. In the theme panel – Custom Typography all font families should be set to default font.
2. Reload your wordpress site and check the source code. In the head, you’ll find “link rel=’stylesheet’ id=’google-roboto-cond-css’ …” loading Roboto Condensed.
3. Back in the theme panel, select “Roboto” for the post title font and save the settings.
3. Reload your wordpress site and check the source code again. In the head, the google-robot-cond-css line is missing now although the font is still used in the CSS. An additional line “link rel=’stylesheet’ id=’google-fonts-style-css’ …” appears loading only “Roboto”.

The error is caused by functions.php line 77. The list of user fonts is checked for g_521, and only if it’s not included Roboto Condensed is loaded. However, g_521 is Roboto (as indicated in the commment). This leads to the behaviour that the default Roboto Condensed is not loaded if Roboto is selected anywhere.

Solution: Change “g_521” to “g_522” there!

Thanks.

Hi,

We don’t recommend html/css/js minification as this usually cause issues. You can do it manually if you like and exclude the parts which are best to left unminified or the speedbooster plugin as it loads a minifed version of themes js. Regarding theme style css we plan to provide a minified version for it also in future updates.

Thanks
