Best bet is to have ONE file, so it is one less file for browser to load; however you should minify it to load faster.
The flash of unstyled text is more often from the custom CSS, and you can often fix THAT by actually editing the CSS in style.css vs adding bunches of things to custom.css panel.
Just make a record of WHAT you change to reapply with future theme updates.
In any case, that’s what I do 🙂

for “website flicks until css is loaded”, I mean website load faster but for a little fraction of time it appear without css and then it’s rendered properly.
Can I split main css theme in 2 parts,
putting a small one in the header with most important formatting rules and the bigger one in the bottom of the page?

1.Infinite Load Pagination
How can I add a Text or Animated Symbol like this one http://imgur.com/Qb3GOvs when a user scroll down and wait for next page to load on Infinite Load pagination. (I do not want to use the Load More pagination option after X pages)
How can I reduce the time of next page load on infinite scroll? Currently when a user scrolls down to the bottom of the homepage to the last post then only it loads the another page. Is there any to make next page post earlier or faster.
2.Load More Pagination
When I activated the “Load More” pagination, even after going to the last post of the site it was showing the “load More” button. How to fix it?
How can I customize the font size, color & background of “load more” button?
3.Next/Prew Ajax
When I activated this pagination there was no buttons or any number on the homepage. How to fix it?

2. When I load the site it loads 3 – 4 times of different fonts before it actually loads the the font that i have selected for my website… i feel that it’s also taking time and making the site slower… is there any just to load one type of font which is selected from the backend?

Hi,
Speed Booster is optional and it only moves the js/css at the page bottom, it’s not a substitute for cache. By doing this it creates the illusion that the page loads faster because the html loads first followed by css/js.
This problem may appear because of a conflict with another plugin, try to disable all plugins, enable Visual Composer and Speed Booster, then enable the rest of the plugins one by one, see which one doesn’t work with SpeedBooster.

Nothing to do with theme. The first byte time is managed by the server setup, connection speed, etc. How fast the server responds to a query and serves anything is entirely managed and optimized on the server side.

The theme doesn’t require code modifications, all solutions provided by me are either server optimizations (gzip compression, browser leverage), image optimization (when you deliver uncompressed/uncropped images and your page has 4-6Mb multiplied with a large number of visitors it will certainly lead to a blockage), cache. The Speed Booster is not that important, it will just move js and css at the page end giving the illusion that the page loads faster because the js/css executes after the other content elements are loaded. All those optimizations should be done regardless of the theme used and unfortunately we couldn’t include them in the theme as an automatic feature. Theme works great for us.
We waited on using the new Visual Composer, as I always “wait and see” with any new major upgrade to “related” products.
We deployed one site in a weekend (floridanewswire.com) … which was switchover from a 2009 WordPress theme which was basically falling apart as no compatible with WP 4.1.
As with all things where you have interconnected elements, web server, php optimizations, WordPress optimizations, theme, and plugins all interact, and it’s a process to “fine tune” that for your use case.
Obviously very high traffic sites should not be using Visual Composer, sad to say. A pre built “easy to use” theme such as this and the many others using VC are designed for quick deploy as we did with FloridaNewswire.com or Ga-Ga.com — it’s not “lean code.”
For high traffic sites, ALL good developers know you need to look for cost saving on queries for php management and/or use good caching to serve static pages with minimal live data calls, so that the new content is taking brunt of traffic and legacy content is not as rich in data push/pull.
This is why it’s a tradeoff — you can’t have “one click easy” and “lean code” … just like you can’t have 100 things on a page and have it be fast. You either need to have 50 items, or faster system (e.g., we have 1GB switch for our server vs normal 100/base; super high demand systems get dual 1GB, or 4GB connections, or 40x the average 100/base port on typical server or VPS which is shared among 4 containers).
Ironically, I am pondering going back to “lean code” vs “overload code” as the current VC is easy to use, but wow, they need to figure out a way to “design” then deploy a snapshot. Just like you don’t give somebody Photoshop file with 50 layers, you give out a “flattened” version for actual use. VC needs to implement a “snapshot” deploy version of its code to allow development side then live use where the code isn’t such a burden on the system. Not a fault of the theme, obviously.
As always, your mileage may vary. Just some thoughts for the day.

Reduce the number of ajax using elements on page (mega menus, ajax pagination/load more/infinite load). Also reduce the number of blocks on your main page.

Moving js and css to the footer won’t improve the general page load time, the elements will still be there,js and css are executed later because they are moved at the page end and by this it creates a faster page load illusion for the visitors.

Reduce the number of plugins (only use the ones that you realy need).

Ce pot să fac să apară și acele pluginuri sau să găsesc ID-ul lor pentru a-l include în Speed Boster?

I spoke several times with a storage company that is what they told me ”
The issue which you’re experiencing is due to the ‘max_questions’ for the MySQL database which is being used by the blog. If the MySQL user exceeds the database query limit, which is 75,000 per hour per user, then the WordPress website will be redirected to the installation page. This setting is in place to ensure that the MySQL database cannot be overloaded with to many query requests. The queries will reset every hour and is kept by user; however every time the pages on your website are accessed you are still attempting to make queries to the database server. It will be fixed automatically within one hour.
There are many possible causes for the ‘max_questions’ limit get exceeded. Some of them are:
* A script is not closing the MySQL connection after accessing the database. In WordPress, such chances are less, however if there is an error in the scripting of a plugin or theme which you’re using, then the MySQL connection won’t close after querying the database. Hence, please make sure that you close the connection immediately after accessing the database using mysql_close() command from your scripts.
* Your scripts or pages are hitting too frequently from a specific IP address through brute force tools or manually or from other websites. You can check raw logs available in the /stats directory or check the Visitor Statistics for such possibilities. Using the .htaccess Hotlink Protection and the .htaccess Block IP Addresses would resolve this issue.
* Using a single database for multiple applications or having too many users for a single database. A solution for this is creating separate databases for separate applications as well as having separate users.
Additionally, if you get a lot of traffic for your WordPress blog, then I suggest that you use a caching plugin, such as WP-Cache. WP-Cache will make a file copy of a page and serve that up instead of the original page (refreshing it every so often). This not only speeds up your website a lot, but hits to the cached pages make no SQL queries or database hits whatsoever.

Of course, you do still have the old names in the shortcodes showing up, so you could just go each one and update the name of the shortcode. Actually might be faster than recreating them all. Just my 2 cents.
