Hi Anamaria,
Thanks for the reply, but I do not have any subcategories.
Also, the filter section is not visible as I am using “header main menu” and not “big grid flex 1”
please see the attachment:
Hello!
I make a comparison between elements and templates because it is quite the same problem with them. What I wanted to explain to you is about all styles of GRIDS which are standard and you can not customize them as cropping, stretching images, etc. But, if you will choose a big grid flex for example, then you have more options regarding how you can display the featured images like choosing the image size, vertical alignment, etc.
Hope that is more understandable now!
Did you follow the instructions I gave you? Let me know about the results!
Thank you!
Hello!
Please make sure you use the same template for all categories or you can duplicate it to have different sidebars. Check also the settings of the flex blocks and see which is the difference between them.
Let mw know the results!
Thank you!
For ‘News’ category being excluded using multiple taxonomies filter, the ‘News’ category still shows in the dropdown selection.

Hello!
Please note that you should place that flex block in a post template to have effect.
From what I know and I can see also in the settings, there should be no limit of the code that you can place in the TagDiv Editor or the number of Post IDs.
Thank you!
Thank you Bettina, I will look into this further to understand it, as my test following your example seemed no different than to select <all categories>. I am missing something.
But changing the subject back to my original post, it appears that I can import html from our client’s huge back catalogue into the WordPress database to create pages (as opposed to posts) without the risk of losing the input if edited with tagdiv if I add the tagdiv code for column text to both ends.
For example:
insert the following into the wp_posts “post_content” field:
[tdc_zone type=”tdc_content”][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][tdb_title][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
<div align=”center”>
</div>
.
.
. [more html here]
.
.
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][/tdc_zone]
This appears robust. Would you agree? Is there a limit to the text size that the tag div editor can cope with? I would prefer my issue content pages to be pages rather than posts for consistency.
And final question, Is there a limit to the number of Post IDs I can add into the flexblock post ID filter?
Many thanks for all your help.
Hello!
Yes, we have a lot of options. The functionality from single related posts block was moved in the flex blocks. For example, add a flex block, go to the filter tab of the element’s settings and from the dropdown category filter you can choose between: Single – More from author, Single – Related by category, Single – Related from tags.
So, for example Related from tags is displaying articles/posts which have the same tags as the article you are currently viewing. Also, you can set Related and sort it as Random for example.
I hope it is more understandable now!
Thank you!
Hello!
A solution for this could be the settings from a flex block: https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/ for exclusions, please check: https://www.screencast.com/t/ujljPdRYvp
Thank you!
Hello Pete!
Here you can find: https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/ ; https://www.screencast.com/t/RhnK5LhBbxT
Thank you!
I’m currently using the Alphabetical (A->Z) sort order filter on some of my flex blocks, however my issue is with sorting pages that begin with articles such as “The” or “A”, which I would like to ignore.
Example:
Alphabet
A Zoo in the Woods
Binoculars
Graffiti
The Dark Knight
(I would like it to be sorted like this)
Alphabet
Binoculars
The Dark Knight
Graffiti
A Zoo in the Woods
I’m still pretty new when it comes to coding / wordpress, so would appreciate any specific assistance on how to address the problem.
It wouldn’t be too big of an issue if I have to add a custom field on all those pages. with a canonical title for sorting that doesn’t include the “The” or “A” initial articles, I just don’t know where/how I would implement such a change within the theme.
Thanks for any guidance you might be able to offer.
I am doing exactly as described on tutorial ? in a specific flex block need to see posts belonging to example: ‘latest news’ category but 2 posts needs to always stay on top/beginning/before the rest of posts that were added after that
please take a look at screen record link attached, also I u need can provide login details to demo/sandbox so u can take a look?
I have purchased license and have 6 months support remaining
Thank you
Hello!
I’m not sure I understood well what it’s not working for you. But, you can use a cloud template and add a flex block with the TagDiv Composer and use a filter in order to build a block with some posts which you want.
Thank you!
Hi all,
I’m looking for ideas on listing back catalogue of magazine issues. We are using the newspaper theme. Our development site is not live.
We’ve imported our back catalogue of article posts into our wordpress database, in over 1000 issues, into Newspaper. (29,000 articles). They are tagged “issue xxxx” (from 140 to 1141). They display wonderfully.
Going forward, future issues are no problem at all. We’ll create a nice looking page for each weekly issue set of posts, so that it can carry specials, highlights, etc. Flexblocks filtered by category and tag. Very neat, easy to copy forward, just change the tag slug, content flows in, nice work guys! And we can add that page ID to a backissues page flexblock filter and that will be easy.
I can’t manually do this for the back catalogue though.
We can display each issue via the tag template page, although it would be prettier for us if the template did not put “Tag” in the title before the tag name. I guess this will need a child php file or something.
But I can’t find a good way to create a back issue catalogue with a link to each of these tag templates for each issue.
I’d ideally like a flexblock type display, or something, to display each tag, organised by the latest issue, with pagination. But the links must be to the tag listing, not to an article within the tag.
Is this possible?
Using posts: I could create a post for each issue with a listing on it, which I have in html for each issue already and could import to wp_posts. I could then do a single flexblock filtered by postID, with a comma separated list of posts. I’d limit the list to 50 issues per year and create a page for each year, so I’m assuming a flexblock can take a list of 50 post IDs.
But that would not be as pretty as linking to the newspaper theme tag template.
“Categories/tag list” block: at a pinch that would do, but it is much less decorative than the original at https://www.socialistparty.org.uk/issueindex/index. It doesn’t know the title of each issue, date, etc. Would need to add custom fields somehow I guess – using a plugin – wonder if that would work? And would prefer to carry a pic wit each issue…
Any thoughts welcome on the best route. Sure I am missing something obvious.
Thanks!
Running lighthouse mobile I am getting: “Links do not have descriptive text”
Image Of Error: https://snipboard.io/6Ok8xC.jpg
I have located it to the “Read More” under Flex Block 5 > Layout > Button
Image in Composer: https://snipboard.io/Gr4WKw.jpg
I have selected HIDE but I guess the code is still there just hidden via CSS. The question is does anyone know how to remove it completely? I am using TD Library for Mobile pages.
Hi, I recently encountered a problem in editing category pages on my site solidstatenow.com. Whenever I edit one category page, it edits all the others. So the changes of one are carried over to the other categories. For example, in my site’s “gadgets” category, whenever I set the category on the Big Grid Flex Block to “gadgets”, my “games” category also becomes “gadgets”.
I’ve done this here – not a full sponsored article but one by page ID in another flex block in composer on post template – if there are more than one I just change the block setting to show 2,3,4 posts and add the IDs
Clients then know they are seen as a headline and image by all visitors

Hello,
Unfortunately, there is no option to tell you which pages were created with WPBakery and which with tagDiv Composer.
Also, you can uninstall the tagDiv Standard Pack, but please make sure you don’t use elements from this plugin (for example Block 1-25, Big Grid, Big Grid full) you can adjust the Flex Blocks and Big grid Flex blocks like you want like the other blocks from the standard pack, but they also have more settings than the other blocks.https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/big-grid-flex-settings/
Thank you!
hi, I would like to figure out how to add text before the modified date on blocks. It shows the modified date just fine, but I’d like to add “updated on” in front. I’m using the Flex Block 1, as an example.
Thanks

Hi, You can set a separator using the element from tagDiv Composer https://i.imgur.com/ZIwHJaz.png or using border -> https://i.imgur.com/oOYqZAJ.png also on flex you can use this option -> https://i.imgur.com/vCU6O77.png
I hope this will help you!
Hello Bo,
Please use our page builder, tagDiv Composer, where you can find more blocks which offer you more flexibility, please check these articles:
-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/
-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/big-grid-flex-settings/
Also, now is a conflict between tagDiv Composer/tagDiv Cloud Template and WP Bakery which is why I recommend you to shift from WPBakery to tagDiv Composer because WPBakery is an old builder plugin => https://i.imgur.com/O4CA0y0.png -> https://i.imgur.com/bFnzNtQ.png -> https://i.imgur.com/mv8AhFU.png -> https://i.imgur.com/IMyLYiY.png
Thank you!
Hello,
I am trying to add custom fields for registration form box (pop up) appear when click register
Also I am looking for compatible plugin or way to make users profile more flexible
any suggestions?
Hello,
To hide the title on the Big Grid Flex 1, you need to use a custom code CSS=> https://i.imgur.com/QtMoP8Y.jpg
.td_block_big_grid_flex_1 .tdb-module-title-wrap {
display:none;
}
This code needs to be set in Theme Panel -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS.
Thank you!
I want to hide post title on Big Grid Flex 1. Please guide me how can I achieve this. Thanks in advance.
Current demo installed: Magazine PRO
Hello,
All the blocks and grids have the same filtering options – https://tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-flex-block-elements/ -> https://i.imgur.com/Nr4p9At.png
You can set the filtering you want for each block and grid.
If you want the grid you mention to display posts from a category of your choice, select simply that category in the filter section of the grid, for example – https://i.imgur.com/upmJAjg.png
Thank you!
