I’ve gone through and checked the settings, and they appear to be correct. When I look in my Cloud Templates list, there is only one footer template, and it is Influencer. Both the home page and the global setting are set to it. And yet, it is rendered differently on posts than on pages.
I appreciate your help with this. At this time, I’ve spent enough time trouble-shooting, so I’m just going to let it go. Perhaps at some point I’ll have the time to re-import a footer template and rebuild from scratch. You can go ahead and mark this as Closed. Thanks!
Hi BruceInLouisville,
Indeed, now I see about what gap you are saying, also you are using standard post templates, that is way you can not edit theme with tagDiv Composer.
Please check to see if the footer template that you have set in theme panel -> https://i.imgur.com/h3EWLB1.png is the same with the one from homepage (it should be set on global footer) -> https://i.imgur.com/L4ODoRr.png
Let me know the results!
Hi,
I created the footer template for our new website some time ago – and meanwhile am at a loss how I did this. When I look at my new homepage https://seashore.nl/nieuw/ you’ll see a white thin line under the social media icon on top of the footer. However, when you click through to any other links, that white line disappears.
Under all posts and pages I see that “global template” is selected, but I can’t find a ‘global template’ in the list of cloud templates. I do see the Footer – Medicine Pro template there, that looks like the global template, apart from the fact that the footer seems to duplicate itself there.
So, how can I make that thin white line visable on all post and pages?
Regards,
Martin.
Hi,
1. If I’m right and this is your website -> https://forwardky.com/ then the footer problem seems to be solved -> https://i.imgur.com/WuV1qVm.png
If is not this, make sure that you have set the same footer and there is no plugin that is interfering with it.
2. The footer template can be edited only if you are edit a page or cloud template, there is no button in cloud templates to edit it, therefore it can be edited only from the elements where is set (pages/cloud templates).
-> https://i.imgur.com/OpYJe2p.png -> https://i.imgur.com/ci9p54S.jpg
Also if is a general footer, when you edit it in one place it will display the edited version for entire website.
Thank you!
Couple of quick questions about footer templates:
I imported and configured/edited a cloud footer template, using TagDiv composer on the home page. Got it looking the way I want, and happy with it.
Didn’t realize I had to then set it in the theme panel for the rest of the web site, so imported version (or something) still showing up on posts. Set Footer in theme panel to use the imported template, and all seemed to be well.
BUT —
- The cloud footer on the posts is slightly different than the one on the home page. Specifically, there is space above the list menu in the center panel on the posts, that is not there on the home page. If they are both (supposedly) using the same footer template, why would there be a difference?
- I cannot figure out how to edit the footer template itself. I can edit the one on the home page using TagDiv composer, but on the posts pages there is no option to “Edit with Tagdiv composer.” There is also no option for that in the cloud library listing.
Thoughts?
Hi aassi, where are you see these notices ?
From Newspaper v10.3.3 was add a better support for WPML plugin -> https://i.imgur.com/vAjt3aG.png now you can set the header, footer, category and single template on each language in them panel, for this you need to use the translate for cloud templates -> https://i.imgur.com/Y99kgbB.png in this way on each language you’ll have only the templates made for that language, for example https://i.imgur.com/UJbzFFp.png -> https://i.imgur.com/TWZLxQZ.png -> https://i.imgur.com/CjsSkAC.png
You can duplicate a cloud template like this -> https://i.imgur.com/BLYyLc4.png after that you can edit it with tagDiv Composer.
In your case you need to do the same for 404 cloud template.
The second method is the classic one using the strings translate, this is more harder -> you need to use the this option -> https://i.imgur.com/59kl17v.png in order to use the string translate, for example for the header -> https://prnt.sc/rumozl and in WPML String -> https://prnt.sc/rumqn5 then you need to set the id of the header you want to be set for that language -> https://i.imgur.com/ghCu54I.png -> https://i.imgur.com/UAgVTC6.png -> https://prnt.sc/rumrbd
What method do you use, also it will help a loot if you cloud provide a screenshot with these notice to see exactly where these appears.
Thank you!
Hello Calin,
thank you for your instructions
I tried to follow your instructions …
But as you can see I have no footer templates to edit. https://ibb.co/W2T2Scc
Although I have prepared 2 footer templates from Cloud Templates…
https://ibb.co/4WsKwHQ
But the front page does not show any footer templates for editing.
So what now? What’s next?
Could you please help me?
Hi,
Thank you for your kind words!
1. This is because you are using a footer template from tagDiv Cloud Library, this can be edited only from frontend with tagDiv Composer.
2. That is a plugin conflict and appear only when you have enable WP Bakery plugin and you are using cloud templates from tagDiv Cloud Library or a pro demo, these can be edited only with tagDiv Composer.
Thank you!
Hi,
The footer can be edited only from frontend, edit a page/post template with tagDiv Composer and go down to footer, or if you want to assign one, use the manager -> https://i.imgur.com/Q5PeHkp.png (the footer templates does not have the button to be edited in backend).
Also now I can see the footer and the page seems to be display correctly -> https://i.imgur.com/qwN88ZB.png but indeed sometimes appears the mobile version, this can be from the cache plugins you are using.
Hope this will help you to understand how footer templates are work!
Thank you!

Hello
I have a big problem with “foot templates”.
I cannot edit existing or newly created footer templates.
For example, if I have created completely new footer templates after created come back to “pages area”.
As usually back to always the Templates area. But this error(!) only happens with footer templates. With other templates(For example: Pages, Header, Single… etc) I can edit.
Note: All footer templates do not show “Edit with TagDiv Composer” which only shows “Edit”

I’m using Default PRO. There are many templates in use. Where can I edit the templates for Posts, Pages and other main templates if there is no link in top menu to Edit Template? I would like to modify the sidebars and footers.

Hi beattienao,
For this the most easy way is to use a footer template -> https://i.imgur.com/wwO84Vj.png, this can be edited on frontend and with tagDiv Composer and you can set the newsletter where you want in footer zone -> https://i.imgur.com/hlkokYk.png -> https://i.imgur.com/rmML5ig.png
Also if you are using standard templates you can use the guide from this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/change-contact-us-text-in-footer/

Morning!
I tried to add new footer template from Tagdiv library ( screen – https://prnt.sc/v23m9p ) – but I’ve got API error response – screen – https://prnt.sc/v23l2u
Error = “Failed to contact the templates API server.”
After second attempt Catalog was downloading successfully – https://prnt.sc/v23ov7
Hi ThomasJojo,
If you can not edit the header and footer zone, then you are using standard templates for header and footer, these can be adjusted using the options from theme panel -> https://i.imgur.com/mnEtaNV.png, you can check more in our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/ for footer -> https://i.imgur.com/bCyB7uF.png -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Only cloud templates can be edited with tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/EZEq4zp.png
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hi irmankarim,
As I said above the footer template is a little different, you can edit it only from frontend, only if is assigned on some pages/cloud templates -> https://i.imgur.com/NwY790n.png -> https://i.imgur.com/gnJmstD.jpg (this cloud templated can not be edited from WordPress only from frontend if is assigned).
Thank you!
Hello,
it’s great to have the possibility now to create different templates for mobile devices.
What I would like to do is make a copy of the responsive homepage-template, save it as the basis for the mobile startpage and than I would like to rearrange the elements or remove some elements on the mobile template to make the mobile layout individual and faster.
So my question is: how do I do that? How can I copy the existing startpage as a mobile template? What about header and footer templates?
Hello !
You can edit your templates footer by opening the template using tagDiv Composer on the template: https://www.screencast.com/t/inVOnAjq after that you can choose your footer from web manager: https://www.screencast.com/t/yIYuLl7aCRIt and make sure that you have the same footer all around.
Thank you !

1. WP Memory increased to 256 had not been done as I was told but now is and Cloud Templates do download,
2. However site is quite slow. Is this caused by the Cloud Templates plugin?
3. Before I had access to the Cloud Templates I was able to select and use the Header Template 60 – Black PRO for my Header and the Black Pro footer for my footer and I am pretty much ok with the setup as I wanted to keep the Travel Blog setting I had in my previous version. I am still looking at the available Cloud Templates but I might not use any and stay as is right now. Questions? A.Could the Cloud Library be the cause of slowness? B.If it could be, can I delete this plugin if I am not to use any more Cloud Templates?

Now in order to translate a page in a language, you need to create that page in tagdiv Composer, using the content for that language.

Hi
I’ve installed and enabled classic editor plugins as I’m comfortable with older editor.
Now, all Cloud templates were assigned with classic editor.
“Footer – Default PRO — classic editor”
I’ve disabled plugin and tried – still getting classic editor only.
is there any way to revert this?
Thanks
