I have checked your site and if you are referring to the header ad, it is not displayed on both of your pages. I have inspected this, the code is there but the banner is not displayed – http://screencast.com/t/SQ9nfgwX So I suggest to check if the code is working, use a text block and see if it is displayed.
Also regarding the above code, if you edited and added it in the file, please edit news page set the ad box again and update the page and see if it works. If you still have issues with it please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-access so we can take a look, also paste a link to this conversation so we can know who you are and what your issue is.

We have put a lot of time into migrating from our existing theme to Newspaper only to discover this morning that the top menu does not display on mobile – a critical issue for us:(
My site is a multi-site with six sub.sites, each addressing a particular sub-set of our audience. When displayed in any mobile device with a width of 770px or less, the top header menu is lost.
I searched the forum and found this post:

We then tried the suggestions in that without success.
We then manually added the top header content to the functions.php file (see http://ideas2live4.com) but that is a very poor solution as it results in a menu 500 metres deep. For example, one site – http://architecture.ideas2live4.com has a top header menu to the seven sites plus 8 categories in the main header menu with 15 more categories in the drop downs. And we have still only migrated less than half our content!
Is there a more elegant solution? I truly love this theme but this is a huge hurdle.

I posted DFP code into the theme panel ad boxes and the padding for the header and sidebar ads are off.
Can you take a look and see why the ads are not padded correctly?
Trying to find support but i guess here is the place.
I just wanted the masonry header showing posts from a particular category, and then the body of my blog to have recent posts with some excerpt text… It seems impossible to modify my theme this way, how do I do it? Id love the help. Thank you very much!

Great theme – I really like what I am seeing.
I am interested in customizing the Header and Footer.
Header adjustments (for standard computer screens):
– Full width of screen for traditional computer screens;
– Add custom buttons/menu to the right of the logo;
– Add custom text in place of the sub menu in the top bar;
– Remove the coloured lines that appear when hovering over the top level menu items; and
– Adding a coloured banner, screen wide under the header.
Footer (for standard computer screens):
– Add custom full width sections
Can you give me a little guidance as to how I should go about it?

Foe the footer there is no theme panel option to make it full width but you can do it using custom css, just add the css code from below int theme panel > custom css section: http://screencast.com/t/iZdC3YmyNL

The body container’s width can’t be changed without needing to also change all others elements style making this a difficult job so if you really need this we advise you to ask the help of a developer because this needs custom services. You can find one on site’s like: http://studio.envato.com/

How to add google custom search to wordpress in Header & how to remove default newspaper search box.
Funnily enough this came up here the other day as well. A plugin to do this kind of thing would be awesome from TagDiv, or a paid add-on option for the themes (hint!). I’d be willing to pay $25 for an “add-on” to the Newsmag theme for this, which is cheapo I know, but if you had a lot of folks buy it, well, it’s worth it. 🙂
Right now, it seems the best way to do this might be:
a) custom post template; edit one of the existing to add some “sponsored post” elements to page; change header link to header-sponsored.php
b) clone header.php and remove the default header ad box elements
c) create custom sidebar which doesn’t have default ad units
d) not sure how to set an expiration date; our local CMS (house built, not WP) has this function, I see couple of plugins for this out there, one which stopped working with latest WP update — but seems like there should be function for this (WP still evolving as proper CMS, which is why my system built in 2005, updated 2007, can do it, and WP still does not by default .. duh). Probably needs a cron job from server.
e) likely need a custom category which can be excluded from things like Google News sitemap, possibly main sitemap, but still feed into RSS streams
f) likely a custom “bug” added to end of the excerpt based on the custom category lookup to identify SPONSORED CONTENT clearly in excerpt
We’re looking to do something like this with possibly a 30,60,90 day expiration window for “sponsored content.”
Feedback from anybody who has actually implemented something like this would be major groovy bitchin’ kewl, as we say here in California 😉

To be frank, I laughed when I read this post. It would be more than a waste of money, it would be very hard to adapt this theme to a single-page website. It’s designed for displaying blocks of articles, columns, sidebars, category headers, attractive search, various menus and footers, ads, etc. etc., all of which is useless for a single-page website. I’m not even sure you can easily adapt this theme to go full-width as most single-page website are. The one feature you could potentially make good use of is Visual Composer.
I don’t envy you. Dealing with a client who has no idea what his needs are is hell. I’m not staff, but my advice would be to try to convince the client to go with something sane. You’ll lose your mind trying to turn this theme into something unrecognizable.

Please try to use a wp-text widget to place your ad code and check if you get the same result.
You can also try a plugin to manage ads, like AdRotate or similar then add plugin’s shortcode into the header ad spot in theme panel.

Thanks for the quick response! My apologies, it is Style 6 not Syle 8.
Style 6 has the logo on the left, the ad to the right, and the menu above both of them. If it’s possible to have the menu below these (like in Style 8) that would be great.

Not sure what you mean because in header style 8 the menu is below the logo: http://screencast.com/t/BsLayg2KtAR and you cannot have logo and ad containers placed like in header 1 style and a full width header so this can’t be done easily, sorry.

That makes sense. The problem I am having is the header colors. Under “theme colors” I have custom colors set up for pages. The colors work as expected unless I use the “default template” with the page builder. Once I use the page builder the header colors all go black instead of the custom colors i set up.

The theme ad system was not been designed to work like this and you will need custom modifications to achieve this, I suggest to hire a professional to do this for you as we cannot provide any type of custom work at this time, sorry! You can try to ad a condition in ad.php file(header add) to display a custom ad for example on your homepage if you use pagination – http://screencast.com/t/1tlDbKtWR

I am using Header Style 1 for a website and was wondering if it is possible to stretch the background of the header to full width rather than between the margins…without moving the other elements (logo, main menu, ad, etc.). I am aware there are other Header Styles that are stretched (Style 8), however, I don’t like that the Main Menu is above the logo in that style. If I could change that then I would use that Header Style.

@Christopher and @Lucian, can I still delete lines 17-26 in header.php to solve this issue? I am running 6.2.3 (the lastest version as of today I believe) and its duplicating the og:image tag in the header before YOASTS SEO
Or has the code changed that I’d want to remove?

on the Newspaper theme header ad block, I wish to know how to implement 2 scripts for Google adsense ads and then a second one from an other ad system. I wish to have a kind of capping with adsense beijng displayed the first time they land on the site and when they visit a second page, then display the second source.
How could I do that ?

You can use different header styles by inserting a condition in the header style file that you want to use. I placed google adsense code in the header section under Theme Panel>>Ads and the image appears to fit in the header ad section however it is not clickable. The sidebar ads are working perfect and are clickable.
