How can I change the background of the slider. I tried to find the css that is holding control of it but so far no such luck.

Also would it be possible to tweak the color of the headlines of some sidebars with widgetized areas? How?

Hello,
Yes to make a full header, i think you need to make some custom css, so is everything ok now?

Padding issues on the sides of the full header is fixed with custom css πŸ™‚

Hrm.. tried just now but now it’s actually taking up more space, even so there is a slight 5px? padding on each side when setting the template to 980px fully responsive. What is the exact size of the header to fill it up completely or is there a css tweak I missed?

I already tried that which generated something like a 600x80pxl logo centered in the middle of the header area..

Add this in style.css

.td_980_resp .td-full-logo .td-grid-wrap {
    padding: 23px 0 0 !important;
}

Also change like here to fit the social icons in the top menu http://screencast.com/t/dnSNfzdLf

Thanks!

Hi, how do I get a full size header image to fill up the space between the two menus on top that is the main and the top menu. I don’t like to have a small tiny logo but a 1100 somethingx200pxl tall image in between. How do I sort this out?

I’m having a similar logo & header ad overlap issue on mobile for theweddingmagazine.net – screenshot here:
pic

Used CSS code supplied above however it didn’t work.

**double checked now and logo is screen right? Is that where it’s supposed to be?

Caching: I use W3 Total Cache. I tried disabling Page Cache, Browser Cahe and Object Cache, but that gave no result. I disabled these all together, and separately.

My website is: http://www.katholiek.nl.

I use the full responsive (1170px) template. On the homepage I use a Single Image and then Block1 for all categories in default style. The sort order is ‘latest’.

This is the code:
[vc_row][vc_column width="1/1"][vc_single_image image="7499" img_link_target="_self" img_size="full"][/vc_column][/vc_row]
[vc_row][vc_column width="1/1"][td_block1 limit=”9″ header_color=”#00a287″ ajax_pagination=”load_more”][/vc_column][/vc_row]

For the homepage I used the standard template (which I like most and really want to use because of the right sidebar).

When I add a new blog post, it show on the desktop version, but not on the mobile one. What I do not understand is that When I first noticed this issue, I changed the standard template into homepage blank. Then did a refresh, and changed it back to standard template. Because the new blog post will show mobile. But doing that workaround everytime with a new post is not really doable.

With Mobile I meant ipad 1/Safari, ipad mini 2/Safari and iphone/safari. A friend of mine used Macbook Air on a very different IP and experienced the same problem and notified me in the first place.

Any solution is very welcome. Thank you very much.

Yeah I know what you means. The visual composer is amazing and so is the review system.

And I spent 20 hours a couple of days ago building my site using Newspaper, so I know what you mean when you say you’re in the design stage πŸ˜€ It’s tough but rewarding to take a site all the way from testing to final release πŸ™‚

Hello,
Please show us your site URL to inspect the issue. You can inspect from Firefox or Chrome using the inspector, can be solved from CSS, there is some margin or padding.

Thanks!

Yeah well… Genesis has no doubt nice features but this Newspaper-theme has features that are SO helpful for my purpose.

I’m still in the design-stage and finding out all the features of Newspaper, but so far I’m glad and getting a lot of energie out of it πŸ˜€

Awesome πŸ™‚ And it’s funny you switched to the Newspaper theme. Appcomrade.com used to run on Genesis a week ago too when I bought it (its old domain was appreviews4u.com).

All in good time, Newspaper will be the new Genesis πŸ™‚
