Hi,
1. That website seems to use a svg logo, this one to be more exact
– https://d5c0iea6jarb7.cloudfront.net/images/hypebeast2018/hypebeast-logo.svg?w7h421lv
From what I can find online there are differences between image quality when using svg as logo. Some topics I found here
– https://www.externaldesign.com/using-svg-graphics-in-wordpress/
– https://elfsight.com/blog/2017/05/svg-png-jpeg-choose-the-image-format-for-your-website/
– https://bjornjohansen.no/svg-in-wordpress
2. There is no unnecessary vertical space added, the header will be the height of the logo plus some padding
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Rs7neHZpg
So the height of the header will be the height of the logo and some padding. Changing the line height of the main menu may affect the total height of the header
– https://www.screencast.com/t/2MxDUFDm67
3. If you want to use that code be sure to enter it in the Theme panel advanced CSS desktop section, modification made to headers may not look best across all devices, so multiple codes would have to be made by viewport, or a more optimized version then that example if possible.
It is best and also recommended to try and use header styles as they are.
Thanks
Hello Kjray,
I have checked your console and I saw that you have some errors through it as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/c2gDqw51mgPC You should disable all of your untested plugins, clear all the caches and check the results. Also, check your header ad code to be a valid one in order to achieve better results. As a test, you should try to make a new install to another sub-domain for testing via FTP way and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
Try the general setting in the theme panel
– https://www.screencast.com/t/6xIQOmzMLsIw
That setting will affect all block headers including widgets, coloring them with the color you set. If it’s not working, please provide a link to your website so I can take a look.
Thanks
Hi,
That demo you mention uses the multipurpose header style 3, together with the force header width settings in the theme panel
– https://www.screencast.com/t/tDga2xw4wzUJ
The header will be stretched on the whole website if you use those options, regardless of general background images or colors. They will be forced to your chosen width.
A header background image can be set in the theme panel
– https://www.screencast.com/t/raFzXhFlry
Thanks
What is the best size of header and footer image?
I am using sound radar theme.
Hi,
I could take a look, please post a link to your website. The header ad spot would have the same functionality as the rest of the ad spots, so the ad should function the same.
Thanks
Hello kpople,
Please notice that you only use the Ads section from Theme panel if you want to display the Ads in Top, Inline or Bottom section of your posts. First of all, you should read our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-header-ads/ because there you will find out, how exactly you can set up your Ads. Also, for more details about how exactly you should use the Google Adsense, please check here -> https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/181947?hl=en&ref_topic=28893 the official Adsense documentation. Another alternative for you would be to use the AdRotate plugin to display your Ads.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
A general width setting does not exist, you can stretch rows or use full width grids
– https://www.screencast.com/t/IzxhRRtpNXuh
There are 10 full width grids available – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-1/
As a side note, if you use any general backgrounds (color or image) set in the theme panel, then the website will be boxed
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/background-introduction/
In that case there will be no full width results, remove the background to achieve full width.
Header and footer elements can be forced to full width as well
– https://www.screencast.com/t/tDga2xw4wzUJ
Thanks
Hi, I have installed the “default demo” of the Newspaper theme. For my home page I have selected the “Homepage Newsmag” option. If I click on the “home” button (located on the main menu bar), then I am directed to the home page.
BUT when I click on my website’s main header (title), I am directed to a random blog page format instead of the home page. How do I fix this?
I can’t seem to find where I can change the background color and border color of the block headers in the sidebar that shows – popular posts, popular categories, my favorites, etc.
The color changed for the main blog post content (Related Articles and More from Author) but not in the sidebar.
Thanks
And one more thing crypto demo has a background image in the header but still full width is working fine there.
Also, tell me how to detect background image and color.
Ok but as I know this can only be achieved by tagdiv composer and will work only on the particular page made with td composer. But I want full-width universal header on all page like the crypto demo.
Hi Simon,
The issue isn’t with DFP or the ad, if i put the same code anywhere else on the site it works, it just won’t work in the header on a mobile phone.
Hope this clears things out.
Thanks,
Clyde
Hi,
So you want to create a page with full width elements. There are full width elements to be placed in pages, like grids
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-1/ (10 types of full width grids)
Rows in pages can be stretched – https://www.screencast.com/t/LjPxJ1iLIIz
Header and Footer elements – https://www.screencast.com/t/HgtsNIs1
There are also multi-purpose elements in the tagDiv composer, you could check them out.
Thanks
Hello guys!
I already hided the name of authors date and reading post number, on categories and posts but it is still showing all those details in my Home page that I created with tagdiv, as it is shown on the photo.
https://ibb.co/nG7EAT
Custom ads 1-5 I am adding the codes and I want to display on the sidebar 5 diffrent custom ads with the photo and links to the businesses that I have deals with. But none of them is showing, only “the sidebar ad” it’s showing and the “header ad”
About the category, when the reader clicks to a specific category, I want it to be shown the name of the newspaper/”nameofcategory”. Not newspaper/index.php/”nameofcategory”
https://ibb.co/kQzmqT
Thank YOU for the time!
Hi,
We tested default Adsense ads and they work properly, with DFP I couldn’t say why that is happening. Check in the browser inspector console if there are any errors, there could be indications as to why the ad is not displayed. It is unusual however that only the header ad has this problem.
Also check some online topics with suggestions

I am trying to design page in TD Composer and I am getting blank page.
I’ve enabled PHP errors in WP, and I am getting 2 messages:
Notice: Undefined variable: http_response_header in /var/www/wp/wp-content/themes/Newsmag/includes/wp_booster/td_remote_http.php on line 219
Fatal error: Call to undefined function curl_init() in /var/www/wp/wp-content/themes/Newsmag/includes/wp_booster/td_remote_http.php on line 242
How can I fix this?
Hi,
1. If you use a header background color there is a setting for the opacity
– https://www.screencast.com/t/QHt92xdPXIG7
If you use a background image it could be as well in the theme panel
– https://www.screencast.com/t/WLWsQFZ9c7y
Please correct me if I misunderstand.
2. So maybe something like this – https://www.screencast.com/t/yC7Z6PL2
.home #td-outer-wrap {
opacity: 0.8;
}
Thanks
Hi,
Indeed, the mobile theme will not display a drop-down. It should display all your categories however, but it seems there is a design issue. I will add this on our list and it will be fixed as soon as possible.
In the meantime you could enter this code in Theme panel->Mobile theme->Custom CSS section, to create some more space in the category header for the categories
– https://www.screencast.com/t/gqUKyllEkX
.td-category-header .td-category {
max-height: 250px;
}
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks
Hi,
The header has an option to set a background image, in the theme panel
– https://www.screencast.com/t/qIaL0Qlj
If you set a general background, the website will be boxed. However the header elements can be forced to full width or predefined sizes
– https://www.screencast.com/t/1xco3UWCT
Please correct me if I misunderstand, also mention some more details about the problem and a link to your website if possible.
Thanks
Hello,
Yes, the statement meant it is not necessary to upload a mobile logo as it will be grabbed from the default header logo.
The color of the mobile background can be changed from the thee colors section or the mobile theme color section if you use the mobile theme plugin.
https://www.screencast.com/t/dILRhsd6ZR9p or https://www.screencast.com/t/fsKfQortWi8
Thank you!
Hi,
I made a comparison of the original image used and the logo image when set
– https://www.screencast.com/t/uvH5phCR
They would be the same quality as far as I can tell. As long as the full image size is used when uploaded the image will be displayed as it is.
So you would like to do something like this maybe
– https://www.screencast.com/t/GxNQPhj9A5w
This is the code I used in the example, you could experiment with it
.td-header-style-7 .td-header-sp-logo img {
max-height: 94px;
}
.td-header-style-7 .sf-menu,
.header-search-wrap {
margin-top: 12px;
float: left;
}
.td-header-style-7 .td-header-menu-wrap-full {
height: 94px!important;
}
.td-header-style-7 .header-search-wrap #td-header-search-button .td-icon-search {
line-height: 107px;
}
Also you could experiment with different header styles and make modifications to theme if needed
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
Thanks
Hello,
Upon inspecting your logo, i cannot see it fuzzy or unclear. It is very clear: https://www.screencast.com/t/5WPVWOELzll
The vertical space comes from the image itself: https://www.screencast.com/t/c2ssAssuhA
Remove the extra space above and below the text from your image.
In order to have the menu items closer to the logo, you will have to use a different header style: https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/
Thank you!
Hi,
But you would not have to create the same template for all the categories. Import it once, select it for the categories you want, then upload an image of your choosing per category
– https://www.screencast.com/t/s0OJToAP6oL
– https://www.screencast.com/t/227yxDpp
There is also the setting to remove the boxed layout, displaying the image only in the category header. That would work as you want.
Thanks
That code would be the only solution in this case. The ubermenu plugin seems to have included itself as part of the header menu container, so hiding it with CSS would be the easiest and maybe only solution
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Nep5X2BpAQ
An alternative to that would be to remove the elements of the default header menu from the code, but that may be difficult because the ubermenu is part of the default menu so the default.
The code works, entering it in the theme stylesheet will apply it more quickly, enter it there and then clear all caching or CDN if used.
