notice the difference in this header compared the the home page header. this header is very short for some reason?
I am new to wordpress and no zero code, so any replies need to be very basic, here is my problem
I am set to launch my site this Friday and I set up links to my facebook page and pinterest page and they both used to work; however, now instead of linking to: http://www.faceboook.com/mypage when I click on the icons in the header or footer they dont go to the facebook page, but rather to my website url with the facebook or pinterest link at the end and thus I get the 404 error.
To summarize, when I click on the social media icons instead of getting:
http://www.facebook.com/mypage
I am getting sent to:
http://www.mywebsite.com/www.facebook.com/mypage
WTF? Did I change a permalink setting for this without realize it? Anyone know what to do to fix this?

Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option for your desire, sorry! Please notice that to achieve as you want it is necessary some additional customizations that involve custom work. As a hint, you can use a background image from Theme panel, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/QDGy2ynj and then you have to transparent your header section using a bit of CSS code.

The best way to edit php is by accessing you files via ftp and using a text editor such as notepad++.
1) If you want to edit parts of the header then you need to access one of the header files: http://screencast.com/t/2zAba2Tj
You will need to kn ow a bit of css as well as it is used for the margins you need to alter in order to get your new dimansions to display properly.
2) If you want to add a shortcode for an ad spot at the bottom of the menu, then you need to menu file and use a do_shortcode php function like so:
If you want to place an ad at the bottom of the menu, it’s best to add it inside what is below the menu, not the menu file itself.
In order to do this, you must edit the specific post template or category template or page template you want the add to appear on.

Unfortunately the header styles that have the ad next to them cannot be any bigger as it will affect the ad and the container for he header ad will drop below the logo if this is increased. If you want to use a bigger logo, we recommend using a full logo header style. Small adjustments can be done, but only a few pixels as not to affect the ad container. For this we will need a link to your website so we can inspect the logo and I will try to increase it as much as possible without affecting the other elements.

Theme’s ad system is tested and works fine on Google Chrome. Also I’ve checked your site on Chrome and the header ad is displayed fine: http://screencast.com/t/sEq6O0262m
Please make sure that you don’t have any ad-blocker software installed on Chrome, clear all caches including browser’s cache then test again.

I just landed on Newspaper. I like it a lot and I’m studying all the several functions. So now as Header style I choose style 1 and I look to understand how could I have more space for the logo than the requested 272X90px without affecting the surroundings and how it is possible to align left.

We didn’t tested the AMP plugin with the theme yest and i can’t say that it will work 100$ with the theme. However from our users reports seems that the plugin works fine with the theme. We plan to extend theme’s flexibility and maybe in the feature we will have a closer look to a possible implementation of AMP. However I can’t promise anything in this regard as we have a long list a feature requests and we have take them one by one.

Good morning , by chance I found the problem , work with the browser Google Chrome, is seeing a compatibility problem with Internet Explorer , because it occurred to me to make changes to the template in the header ad with the Internet Explorer everything worked perfectly, to change with the browser google Chrome suggest , there are template functions when modify the panel are not functioning properly, I suggest you see that detail. The skin ad is active. I see it both in homepage and in the posts.
Please note it’s a script, not a background image.

now the problem is, as i only need the main menu, i didn’t see any option which can display the login/register menu on my main menu bar. could you please tell me where should i get it done….??? thanks. or is there any way that can solve the problem..

This can be done with css. Firt you will need the page id for the page where you want the menu hidden:
