This is sorted by popularity over 7 days, in order for this to work I need to have the “SHOW POST VIEWS” enabled in the theme panel.
I don’t like people seeing how many views the post has, is there any way to disable this option and still have my trending section?

So you want to hide the views only on mobile. I could give you a code for this

}
If you don’t use the mobile theme plugin, enter it in Theme panel->Custom code->Advanced CSS section in the phones field.
If you use the mobile theme plugin, enter it in Theme panel->Mobile theme->Custom code CSS section.

basically I want to do as the title says. I hid some rows on all views using the hidden option in the css tab.The row then totally disappears from the TagDiv builder so you can’t see it to select it and make it visible again. Please tell me how you make hidden rows visible again.

The view count will only appear in the post page, not in modules.
You could hide the count with CSS if this is required, this code should do that

Now with above theme CONTENT LENGTH is 38 words with justify text. But some paragraph looks small and some big so this looks bad.

Now with above screenshot CONTENT LENGTH is 300 words with justify text and all paragraph looks same size. Even i put 38 words or 300 words, paragraph will look all same size because the box height 70px is already set, so extra words will hide and looks niche.

Now it is necessary to do above excerpt settings also in Newspaper theme. You have to help me by doing this in any way because newspaper theme is new for me and need some hints from wonderful people like you. I’ll do the editing myself, you just show me the steps.

Thanks for replying. Yes, all posts have featured images. I do have a plugin (Conditionally display featured image on singular pages and posts) that hides the featured image from the post in singular views, and only displays them in list views, but this has been working properly and thumbs were showing. In the post view, if I use the pagination for related articles, the thumbs load, but not when the page initially loads.

We are playing around with tagDiv composer for our site redesign and it is amazing. We are still learning new things everyday as we explore new ideas. The ability to be able to control how the site appears on each screen size at a granular level is brilliant.
Also really pleased with the new cloud template function. It addresses my biggest bugbear with Newspaper – the ability to adjust the overall width of the columns – but it’s allowing us to create some genuinely unique page designs rather than seeing different sites that look exactly the same as ours.
Couple of requests for future updates. Some may already have been mentioned, some may be bugs, some may not currently be on your radar, but hopefully it helps:
– can’t choose a sidebar from the main post composition screen if using a cloud template. We would like to be able to run sidebars that are customised for different article categories, but that’s not currently possible. We could create several near-identical page templates, each with a different sidebar, to address this but it seems clunky when everything else is so sleek.
– paginated articles don’t work. It doesn’t seem to recognise page breaks. We may be missing something but we really can’t get it to work.
– TD composer doesn’t have accordion/tab functionality. We’re currently scratching our heads to work out how we will replicate or replace this, as we currently run a lengthy glossary that uses an accordion to hide and display all the descriptions, and we can’t do this with TD composer.
– following on from the above, it would be great to have the ability to load anything into a row that only displays a certain height and then has a ‘load more’ pagination function, like the blocks do for posts. For example, we are using the testimonial features in quite a different way, but there will be potentially loads of them on a page so it would be good to only show a few with the rest hidden behind a ‘load more’ button. – we have been trialling closing off comments after X days. Using cloud templates, this causes a “Comments are closed” message to pop up at the top of the page under the menu. See here:

This doesn’t happen with the traditional Newspaper templates, which display the message in the correct place after the last comment.
– We’re currently having trouble with smart sidebars using inner rows, but this is probably our own fault rather than a bug.
– Newspaper (and Newsmag) lack behind other themes when it comes to presenting reviews. Given how slick the rest of the features are, this is something we’d really like to see developed in future editions. We’re also currently looking at plugins for incorporating user ratings, but not sure whether they’ll play happily with TD composer.

You could hide them with some CSS, the views are only displayed in the post page. Try a code like this, it should work for all the post templates

Disabling them in the theme panel will not load them anymore in the single post page, you can check this in the page source. So that will work for the post pages.

There is a general setting in the theme panel regarding modules and reviews

If that is enabled, the modules will display the review stars instead of the author, date etc. If you disable it, the review stars will not show, instead there will be the author, date etc.
A specific setting for individual modules is not available, only this general setting. So if you want the stars to be removed only for a particular block, maybe this could be done with CSS. I could take a look if you can provide a link to such a page/post. Note that the code will hide the stars, the author name and other meta will still be disabled.

Please keep in mind that the above code which I gave you only hide the Post Views from the front-end and it does not disable the main functionality of it, only if you disable it from the panel. Clear all the caches and check the results.

Is it possible to see the articles counts only inside the admin area? as i can see right now if i disable the views count at the front end i cann’t see the views inside the admin area. How can i solve this? or can i hide the views via css at the front end?

I believe this may be a bug? When I disable “SHOW POST VIEWS – Enable or disable the post views (on single post page)” the popular filter stops showing any posts.
I don’t want a visible post view count on the pages, but I do want to be able to filter by page views.
I was of the belief this would simply hide the counter on the post page but views would still be logged. Will I have to manually hide this field using custom css? I didn’t think hiding this would affect popular filtering.
