Hi,

Please note that each demo contains custom code and design. The Business demo date is specific to the business demo homepage, there is no date widget that can be placed on pages.

You could use a different method as well to display the date in a raw HTML element, like this for example
https://www.arclab.com/en/kb/htmlcss/display-date-time-javascript-php-ssi.html
https://www.screencast.com/t/HRTttD6S
https://www.screencast.com/t/i5i1rzTLCn
Or you can try other online solutions.

Thanks

I have done something wrong with my homepage and I don’t know what. My old homepage works. I redesigned a new page and in the settings linked the new paper. The above link is the result. The header doesn’t display, and the images drop off. They are all there in the TD Composer.

I have clearly done something wrong. Any help would be great.

I know it’s probably very simple. I have page called “home”, which is opened after entering website and the page title goes as follows Nanonews.pl and I want it to be the only title, but it sets it as Home – Nanonews.pl. How could I delete the “Home -” part?

Hello 22p,

The easiest way, in this case, is to install the sound radar demo and check the homepage to see how it’s made. Also, ensure that you are not using the background image to your website because if you are using something like this, the theme will be automatically boxed.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

The theme works great with the default demo installed but when I install the “Local news” demo the homepage footer is broken. Other pages are fine.

Here is a screenshot: https://ibb.co/bRbadS

Hello BenBee,

You should use the background-image property and add it to your homepage, like this ->

.home {
background-image:url(http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/login-mod.jpg);
background-size:100% 100%;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
}

Use HD images if you want to achieve best theme results.

Thanks for your message!

Hello 22p,

Try to the code from here -> https://pastebin.com/qWKVvJ13 and place it in your homepage text like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/LUIyKBk0mCO This is the homepage for that demo.

Hope this helps!

Hello tonima,

Where exactly you want to add this banner? As an example, if you want to add it on the homepage, you should simply add it to a Single Image with a link, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/uXxXz3equru This is just a simple example!

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

The desktop homepage should not affect the mobile homepage, when the mobile plugin is activated. The mobile front page is not related in any way to the desktop one. It is unusual that the mobile theme front page would contain the desktop content.

If the problem persists when the mobile plugin is active, we could take a look at the issue. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information.

Same problem… most of the time Adsense ads are not showing. Mainly homepage ads not showing. But ads display in other themes.

Edit : to be able to click on the save/publy buton of the homepage after a modification, I have to wait 15 seconds !

Same problem for me on the homepage > I don’t see some ads (the sidebar ad that is not in a side bar, and some of the custom banner ads too)

Hi,

I’m a newbie to wordpress and the Newspaper theme. I’ve followed the installation instructions and have successfully installed wordpress and the Newspaper theme. Now… is there a ‘Quick Setup’ guide to help me get my site ready for the public ASAP? I’m really interested in being able to tweak the Links (I think they’re called Main Menu Links) and their accompanying sub-links. I am running the Newspaper theme’s Default Demo, the menu links are: News, Fashion, Gadgets, Lifestyle, Video and Homepages.

If there exists a “Quick Setup’ guide, please direct me to the url where it can be found.

Thank you,

Simon

Hi,

I want a background image to show only on the homepage of my site, and not any other pages. I found some CSS code in the forums to do this, but it only works if the background image is in stretch mode.

Is there a custom CSS code I can use for fixed images that aren’t stretched to have the background image show up on the homepage only? If not, is there any other way I can have the background image only show up on the homepage?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Okay, thank you. I replicated the crypto news demo homepage on local news demo and was just concerned about page size which was like 4.2mb without caching and 2.5mb after caching. Also, can the news ticker be made to scroll from right to left too?

Hi,
I installed the Fitness blog theme, but the images keep switching positions every time I hit the home tab, or hit the site name to go back to the homepage. When I Check with the theme itself on the demo page, the images (or posts) do not change places every time you go back to the homepage. I don’t want my posts to keep shuffling around. Is there a way you guys can help?
Also, near the bottom on the demo theme, the group of posts titled “Must Read” have the title centered, but on mine, the title is shifted to the left. I went to the backend in visual composer to fix, but I can’t because I can’t find any option. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

I read that but my side bar in a post says Recent articles, and there are no thumbnails. I’m not talking about the more articles box.

I didn’t set up by side bar. I used the default code in the homepage the theme came with and adjusted the layout slightly. So, you are saying I need to select the sidebar block?
Where do I do that?

Hi
Thanks for the response.
I have checked and the shortcodes are in the main section not the mobile editor. I even deactivated and deleted the mobile theme plugin and uploaded it again; the short codes still show up in mobile view.

My homepage is the ‘NEWS’ page as I preferred that layout; could this be a factor? Must I only use one of the pages marked homepage as a homepage?

I have looked in the mobile editor section in the theme panel, and there is nothing I can see there that looks out of place. I don’t understand why these shortcodes are appearing in my mobile theme.

Alright, on my homepage I have a big grid as the first block. I have given it a background color. But there’s a white space between it and the menu.

What’s the cleanest way of making the white space the same color as the background color of the first block? Editing padding?

Resolved. I had a template selected on the homepage.

Hello,

no, the theme panel settings will not be lost it it is always a good idea to back them up. You can use the export settings section: https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/ and keep the code in case something goes wrong.
Constant back-ups is a good practice in the web world.
The only content that will be removed is the dummy content that installs along with the demo. If you kept the dummy data and edited it as your own content, then it will get removed. This especially happens to users regarding pages. Users tend to keep the homepage of the demo and delete everything else. If this is the case and you kept the homepage that was created by the demo, please create a duplicate of that page before switching demos so you do not lose the page layout.

Thank you!
