When i add several blocks on the homepage, the article always show all the content, but usually, it should only show several lines of the content. Is there any button to control this, i can not find it.
Hi, I would like to know if it’s possible to include a Like and a Tweet button below the titles from a block. Specifically, i would like to have them where the red rectangles are in this screenshot (that one is the Block 11 on the homepage): http://www.screencast.com/t/8IhNlhzc
From what I read on the forum I imagine that this is not an easy task, but maybe there is some way to do it for that kind of block 🙂

The category color is set from the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/lzesgkJV2HRv , but this wilkl affect the category tag in the post, not the color on the homepage.
As the homepage is built with visual composer elements, you can achieve this effect by adding colors to your blocks that contain the specific category.
You can set the block to display a certain category: http://screencast.com/t/g2sMYz2HB and then set a color to it: http://screencast.com/t/8QhbhKAZg.
You can see this effect in our demo (it is not set to show a single category but you will see the different block colors): http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/

How do we cancel a red light marked the homepage
1. For style 11 (Video) template for post. I am not adding any content in the content section. Instead I am using subtitle area for the content. I would like to know that will it affect seo? If yes… then is it possible to make changes in code so that good will take subtitle as the content of the site?
2. How can I remove the bottom social share buttons only for STYLE 11 Video template for post?
3. Is it possible to choose different block for mobile screen and desktop on homepage.?

Is there a way to be able to assign different color to each post category, so that you could have a clear visual breakdown on the homepage since each post category would have a different color assigned.

This is exactly what I did, but the sidebar is still appearing twice, the widgetized sidebar and newmag default sidebar.
I intend going live tonight, I am familiar with Visual composer as I used it in my previous theme, but I am just stuck, this is the last thing I need to fix..
Please where can I send you a temporal admin login so you can fix it, then I pick it up from there.

The logo link is set by default to go to the homepage. Unfortunately there is no setting to change this in the theme panel, but you can modify it in the core files: http://screencast.com/t/yYHoaT9dqKe

The same sidebar appear twice on the same page if it’s used in a widgetzed sidebar block first, then also it’s used in latest article section, if the page template is pagebuilder + latest: http://screencast.com/t/byqXLRHRs3
The editor was designed to have the same width with the post content on front-end. If your’re using sidebar the post content have 640px, so the editor have the same width. If you’re not using sidebar the post content have 980px and also the editor change width’s changes at this value. Basically the editor simulate the front end layout. I am sorry if i weren’t very clear before, let me come again with more detail. earlier i was using the option “your latest posts” option in front display as my homepage (see screen shot 1), and then i was able to change the header style from theme panel, but then i learned that i can create a homepage (which i learned on your site here https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/) and then use it as static page. so i built a homepage and then from settings > readings i used the option “A static page” and selected the homepage page below from drop down menu which i had built earlier (screen shot-2). everything was good but now i am no longer able to change the header style (logo etc) from theme panel. i mean it does change when i select it from theme panel but it doesn’t take effect, meaning the changes do not appear on the website. Please guide me as to what i can do further to be able to change my header style. Thanks!

I am having a little difficulty here. Based on the documentation, a page created with visual composer won’t have use the default sidebar, but the widgetized sidebar.
I have a widget on the default sidebar, which should normally appear everywhere except the page (my homepage) created with visual composer.
Now, I see both widgets appearing, on the page created with visual composer.
Please, how do I fix this?

I ran a few more tests on this issue and it seems that this is the default behavior of the element. It is not just at your end. When the page containing it is set as the homepage, the alignment gets set to middle. So only on the homepage will the title be centered.
You can overwrite this alignment if you want by using this custom css:
.home .td-post-template-8 .td-post-header-holder{
vertical-align:bottom!important;
}

Hi, earlier i posted this https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/newsmag-home-page-need-help/ because i needed some help to build my home page, now i have built it but the problem is that the “navbar”(Six Dots which you click and then category appears, hope it’s called navbar, if not then you know what i mean) for mobile is just below the logo and it can’t be tapped without tapping the logo which redirects to the homepage and it also looks very awkward , so how can i correct it so those 6 dots which you click and the menus appear in cellphones are separate from the logo, meaning there’s ample space between them. Here you can check the tapping error which i am talking about.

2. Another thing i noticed that after i had built my homepage and selecting it from settings > readings, i am no longer able to change the header style in newsmag. i mean it does change it but the website remains the same and no difference appears..

I have some pages that I would like to display in several blocks on the website and on the homepage. I know I can also set the post type of the block to page, but somehow it is not showing up.
Let’s say I create a page called ‘Keyboard’. Which settings do I need to adjust so I can have this specific page displayed (also) in the block / Big Grid?

Just tested what Fabio wrote but it doesn’t work for me. Block 19, Category Filter with one category and some tag slugs in the right field. The block is empty on my homepage…

just have a further question. If i set a new default page (as”default template”) and add the VC feature “VC Homepage post” the´s works as well great, but one small issue: The page title is in the middle of the image, not on the bottom like normal post pages.
So what can i do to solve this issue.

GaadiWaadi.com is one of the fastest growing Automotive News website in India, we moved to Newspaper theme back in April 2015. Everthing is now shorted out with the theme but there are 3-4 errors that causing many problems in UI of visitors.
1) Gallery : How to put google ads in Gallery with next/Previous option
2) Smart list 8 giving so many errors, is any option is there with Page no. like Page no. 1 , 2 ,3 10 (next/previous)
3) on homepage, we are showing latest 8 articles, whats if the user wants to see more articles ? is any option with next page or Page no. 2,3,4,5,…1000
4) How to set next page option for long articles, like showing 2000+ article in 3 pages (1,2,3) without using H2,H3,H4
5) How to customize the category page ?

I have set up Newspaper theme with demo data for local test.
When I add Block “Slide” into my homepage, everything is fine. And I move forward to change silder settings with Ajax dropdown “Filter by categories”.
But the ajax dropdown above Slide dosen’t work well when I try to click the category link.
I check chrome devtools console and the message shows that “Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected end of input”.
I don’t know if this is a bug, or this is just problem caused by my local environment setting error.

For the homepage block, we are showing featured articles. However, we are not able to change the order of featured articles as it just shows the most recent first. If we modify the date, the permalink changes so that’s not an option.
I’m curious, is there a way to use the ‘sticky’ checkbox under visibility? We have tried using ‘sticky’ but those are not showing up on the homepage.
Ideally, we want to be able to change the order of the featured posts so we can pick and choose what goes in the main big image and not have it selected by most recent post.
