Hello,
This is not a bug – I just need advice.
We had to add a lot of text to the main navigation menu. Because of this, some text goes over the logo on screen widths less than 890px wide.
I tried to search through CSS, to see which rules make the mobile menu appear (and regular disappear), but there seem to be a large number of @media . I also don’t know yet if there is an additional javascript involved.
Is there an ‘easy’ way to change the width for mobile menu to appear at 890px, instead of 767px?
I only want to change the appearance of the menu, not the entire site.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I have checked your logo on mobile which is here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/W3LLxQZalhhF That’s the logo loaded for your mobile version. Where is the problem? Provide some useful screens with the problem so I can identify it.

Thanks for your understanding!

Catalin – I have already done what you suggest and the logo displays briefly including the chef and then it shortens itself. why?

Hello,

It seems you have a few css rules affecting the logo ad the fonts. Either you remove your custom css or use another header style like header style 8 for example.
If this is still an issue afterwards, please contact us on our email address at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to your site and wp-admin (login information and admin rights) so we can login and investigate. Please also include a link to this conversation so we can identify you.

Thank you!

Hi,

If you need a larger logo, please use header styles 9, 10 or 11 that will show the logo in the exact same size you upload it in.
As for the categories, you can set separate blocks for each category in particular showing one post for each category or using an image box element to show an image with a custom link pointing at the category.

Thank you!

I wish to have the logo appear inline with the main header on 13″ laptop screens. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

The logo on my homepage faridascookbook.com is not fitting and appearing very small. The Customization of homepage is also an issue. I’d like to have my categories on the homepage with one image and when clicked on it, should be directed to the category page of that particular cuisine.

Hello chivinews,

Notice that our theme have the H1 logo and it is not required to add H1 again to the page title. But please notice that the page title has H1 added by default as you can see here

Hello raybatch,

This is the logo for your Mobile Devices -> https://www.screencast.com/t/QRrdmnTyj4Q You should load another one if you do not like it. Check the Theme panel settings from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Z3feT549Yoj

Thanks for your understanding!

The website: clevercookspot.com shows a logo on desktop fully including an icon (on the left) of a chef’s hat together with words on the right. The same logo has been resized to 230×90 (including the chef icon) and yet despite resizing it only displays the words on mobile. How can I display the full logo?

Hi there,
I want to replace page titles on category pages with images and keep them in the same spot as the page title, above the description. How may I go about doing that? It looks like I’m using “td_category_template_7”. So do I need to replace the title tag with a category image code in that php file? I’d like to keep the H1 tag, like the site’s logo in the header, and just replace the text with an img (see image). Thanks for your help.

Go to Newspaper>Theme Panel>Header>Logo & Favicon and scroll down to “TEXT LOGO FOR HEADER STYLE 9, STYLE 10 AND STYLE 11:” and delete the text under “ext logo tagline” and save your settings/

Is there a way to get rid of the “DISCOVER THE ART OF PUBLISHING” logo tag line? I don’t want one.

Thank you for your help!!!

Hi,

1. That would depend on the header style you use
https://forum.tagdiv.com/logo-favicon/
For example header styles 9, 10 and 11 will allow any image size you want, no limits there.
If you already use one of these but the logo is small, make sure you upload it in full size
https://www.screencast.com/t/graHsimAEo
https://www.screencast.com/t/HsOr4LblR

2. The tagDiv composer can also be used to create post templates, category templates, author templates etc. The cloud library plugin will be required for that
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
So you can’t create actual posts, but can create templates to apply to those posts.

3. If you mean theme files, you should use a child theme. One is provided in the child theme. Not all files are supported to be modified in a child theme however
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/

Let me know if you have further questions.

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for the response, but my issue now resides with the hight of the menu-bar, as its really making my logo difficult to see/read (as there’s accomoanying text with the logo). Is there a way to stretch the height as well?

Hi,

1: I’m trying to change the size of the logos. When loaded in multimedia gives me some size but when I do then upload from the panel of the theme makes me a forced resize. I tried also to change the style.css of the parent theme but it does not work. What operation should I do?

2: Does the tag div composer tag only work on pages? not even on the articles?

3: The best practice to change parts of the theme what is it?

Hi,

Another quick, and hopefully straightforward question; in the use of the menu bar across the site, I just wanted to know if there was a way to expand the width of it, as currently, it is dropping down to two lines when I use my desired logo, but there’s plenty of left/right hand white-space that could be removed to prevent this, so is this possible?

Kind Regards,

Hi,

It is there, but it is behind the logo for some reason
https://www.screencast.com/t/EL7hoMGu

I believe it is this code that causes the problem, from the custom CSS section
https://www.screencast.com/t/zrwQjMyFGGgb
https://www.screencast.com/t/cCGw6h14Xuv

If you want to use that code for desktop maybe, enter it in the Advanced CSS desktop section so it does not apply on mobile and create problems
https://www.screencast.com/t/QiXsWGNo

Thanks

I went to Theme Panel and saw that the Text Logo and Text Logo tagline determine what appears at the top of the page. But I’m not sure how to edit the font size of these elements.

Hi,

The fix that was made is as follows. When an image logo is set, the customization I was referring to in the demo will not apply anymore. It will apply only when using a text logo as default in the demo.

Currently the code I gave you is still applying
https://www.screencast.com/t/jP4k9a3SoB5n
https://www.screencast.com/t/vyH2oiR9JSSd

If you remove it from the theme panel the result will be like this on all the website
https://www.screencast.com/t/fjdJKABfIa9J

Thanks

Hi,

I believe the issue was fixed in update 9 if I am not mistaken. The demo was modified and there is no need for any code. Remove the code I provided to you and the header should be the same for all pages of the website when you use an image logo.

Please try it and let me know.

Thanks

I did not answer your question. The code is valid, I use it on other, old places that you have in theme.
