Hi,
Do you mean about an user avatar image or about your site logo, what yellow human?! 🙂 Can you provide a link or a screenshot to see the issue?

Thanks for the message!

Please write on the Newsmag forum support and provide more details, what header style do you use? the logo should be centered after the banner? because the logo will be in left and in right an empty space, can you make a mockup with what you want to achieve? https://forum.tagdiv.com/forum/newsmag/

Thanks!

Hello,

I hope you had a nice christmas. I took the time and implemented adsense to my site. However, I stumbled over a problem with the ads, in particular how they are displayed on iPads in portrait mode. I am talking about the header ad banner. My theme is configured with header style 1 (logo + ad) + menu.

1. When I disable the ads on phone for the Header ad as your recommend, the header ad will not just be deacivated on phone but also on the iPad in vertical (portrait) mode. Landscape works fine. The portrait configuration however does not seem to have an effect. Why does this happen?

2. The same with sizes. When I adjust AdSense sizes for Portrait, the customization has no effect on the ads displayed on the iPad. Just the option for Phone does adjust the size. The default configuration (with activated ads on phone which we should not do) displays too small ad banners unlike your newspaper demo with 468×60 pixel. I assume the size is optimized for phones which have different default sizes than the iPad.

What I need to do is have header ads properly scaled and displayed in portrait mode on iPads while header ads on phones are deactivated. Am I mistaken with my configuration or do I fight with a bug? What can I do to fix it?

Thanks for looking into this and have a nice day!

Hi, when I use the Style 8 menu my logo disappears on mobile version. I do have a .png logo. See Site: Here

Hello, there is a bug with search box when using header with style 8 (logo and menu on one line) – the results are shown in just one line, without breaking. It happens only with style 8, others are working just fine. Like this:

(using 4.2 and 4.6 theme versions on two subdomains – same thing)

What can be done here?

You can manually upload via FTP to the proper folder, and insert URL on the logo page and then press Save.

You can also upload via the media manager, then choose that image(s) from the set logo page in theme panel.

The theme cannot replace one image with another randomly. So, you may want to check your site/system setup, and make sure the image you’re uploading has a unique name. If you upload an image with existing name, WordPress will often rename it -2 or -3 etc. to not over-write existing image, and then the existing image with same name would load. e.g., “logo.jpg” would not be wise naming choice. Usually something like My-Site-Name-300×90.png would be advisable.

Good, thank you very much for answering.

Using “blog-stack” I do not like the result, because it makes me the logo in the center and left me too top margin and bottom.

Could you tell me how I can do it for CSS ?, I mean add only the lower margin equal to the upper margin as indicated in the screenshot

Good morning, I would like to use the header type “Blog style – full text logo + menu” but I have a problem.

The logo is totally glued to the menu and visually not fit. The logo should have the same lower margin than the upper.

I tried the option “HEADER ALIGNMENT UP / DOWN” but does not work in this type of header.

How could put the same margin lower than the top? What I want is that the logo is centered.

I attached a screenshot.

Tks.

have a problem, because theme automatically reduces logo image size. Try googgle it!

Hi,

You can change it with custom css in Theme Panel: http://screencast.com/t/ctIYxLDi
And you have to change your Logo, preferably to not change width.

I give you an example: http://screencast.com/t/UHxPeCIth

.td-header-sp-logo{
width:272px;
height:272px;
}
.td-visible-desktop{
margin-top:150px;
}

Thanks!

I am using header with style 8 – logo + menu on one line. I uploaded a regular logo, it looks just fine with normal menu (not sticky), but when I use smart snap, the logo doesn’t become automatically smaller, as it supposed to do, but remains same size and breaks this top line completely.

So do I upload this smaller size logo manually somewhere or how is it done?

Hi there,

Just recently purchased the theme. Tried to import the “Classic Blog” stack. Unfortunately it is not functioning properly.
The main issue is that images are not imported, only in the raw post text the embedded images work, but the actual “featured image” wordpress manages, don’t function properly.

This leads to formatting issues.
Please take a look at these images to know what I mean: Imgur Link

As you can see, with the “title in featured image” layout, the layout breaks completely if no such image is available. That’s not a huge issue – I’d prefer for the images to be imported properly so I can show it to my client, but I can work around it.

Another issue is that, as you can see in the image, the horizontal space occupied by the header is more than that of the actual content / side bar area. For example, the magnifier icon is not in line with the right border of the side bar box.
On the left, the (purely red) header logo is not in line with the beginning of the content box (which is actually a bad example, because on the screenshot, the post’s content text is set up to have some padding; but still an issue).

The featured image issue is not a big deal, but it would be really nice if you could help me with fixing the horizontal width of the header. It can’t be such a big issue, because with (almost?) the same CSS on the demo installation on your server it works fine…

Kind regards
Eric

On Ipad portrait mode:

My logo (300×100) is running into my banner (729x 90)

Could you please advise? I tried various css and can’t fix:

.header-logo-wrap img {
margin-right: 10px;
}

does not work. Do i make my logo smaller? I tried making the banner smaller and that does not work either.

Please help

Thank you.

Hi,

Please use this custom css for the desktop and tables view:

.blog-stack .td-header-style-1 {
display: table;
margin-bottom: 49px;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
position: relative;
}

.blog-stack .td-logo-rec-wrap .header-logo-wrap {
margin-top: 20px;
margin-bottom: 20px;
}

And this css for mobile view: http://screencast.com/t/rw6JkWgpxc

@media (max-width: 767px) {
.blog-stack #td-top-menu > div {
display: none !important;
}
#td-top-search {
top: -55px !important;
right: -56px !important;
}

.blog-stack .td-header-style-1 {
margin-bottom: 0px !important;
}
}

Then set style 1 while using the blog stack, should look fine now.

Thanks

Hi, again.

To fix the above problem I changed a HEADER STYLE – Blog style – full text logo + menu

But I want my site http://www.stylishangels.com/ to be just like default version http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ . See screen shots –

but the same time i want are to have no problem with the mobile version. I tried all versions of HEADER STYLE, but see this :

Thanks for support.

In our case, once we got rid of the width of the box, the button moved up to right. We might have removed the line break if one was added; been a couple of months since I suffered through that 🙂

I also gave up on the nice ‘overlay’ search results option and ended up with the “normal page of results with our logo” option. Trying to style the overlay results was almost impossible to sort out and Google’s docs are somewhat worthless.

Keep messing with it…
do you have link to a post/page where you’re using that? I might be able to take a peek once I deal with some client stuff.

this is the code we ended up with if curious;

<form class="form" action="https://www.google.com/cse" id="cse-search-box">
<fieldset>
<input type="hidden" name="cx" value="XXXXXXXX"/>
<input type="text" name="q" placeholder=" Search My Site Name Here" style="height:1.8em;width:10.0em;padding:0;margin:0;"/>
<button type="submit" name="sa" class="btn btn-primary disabled" value="Search">Search</button>
</fieldset>
</form>

as you can see, I think we gave up and finally just decided to hack the code by doing bad practice of putting the style inline. We’re using bootstrap 2 on our main business site, hence the existing classes for buttons.
