Hi,

Thanks Christopher!

@runnershigh
You can use the .header-logo-wrap class but I have inspected your site and found that you don’t have any space left at the bottom of your logo just a margin at the top: http://screencast.com/t/xK6r1Vjc which you can set to 0 using the .header-logo-wrap class.

Thanks

Hi Guys,

In the list of payment options at Checkout the page pulls in the PayPal logo that includes credit cards – I’m using a separate gateway for credit cards so don;t want to confuse customers.

How can I either change that logo to just plain PayPal or remove it altogether?

Thanks
Steve

Try changing the logo image used for retina displays under the theme panel, header, logo, retina logo… might help.

Hmmm…
Hi, did you run regenerate thumbnails plugin when switching to theme to make the thumbs needed for existing stories? The theme doesn’t make thumbnails for existing stories, only new ones. So, your 2002 and 2003 images that are giving you that error should be fixed by the regenerate thumbnails plugin.

(I’d recommend adding my suggested WP image optimization element to your functions.php file before running the script — see my notes in the pagespeed sticky top of forum; go backwards from the end to find my stuff more quickly…. this will cut your thumbnail sizes by 30% without having to do anything else!)

Also remember that the theme / WP won’t enlarge images, only create smaller ones.

We don’t need to use the jpeg mini or smush-it, or similar as we actually run our own webserver using imagemagick and mod_pagespeed; we also optimize our images in Photoshop prior to upload and set the default compression in WP from 90 to 60 for better “built in” compression of images generated by WordPress automatically, and by the theme (see the pagespeed sticky in the forum for more on my tips for image optimization if curious).

You have some issues you can fix like a bad favicon link, load CC logo locally, turn off the aweber tracking pixel, turn off contact form 7 if not using it, etc.

I betcha running the regenerate thumbnails plugin will fix the issue you were mainly having, though 🙂

Hmmmm… that is weird. Our site works perfectly in portrait and landscape on the iPhone 6, which I tested the day I got mine, out of paranoia (see: http://advertisingindustrynewswire.com — not self promoting here!).

In my case, the logo is a little funky top right in the landscape view on the iPhone 6, but that’s because I’m intentionally re-using logo from old site layout while playing with the theme setup, but not a problem.

One thing to double check is the advertisements settings
1) try using the latest non-beta “fully responsive” code from AdWords
2) if using older code, make sure you change the “sizes” for phones and disable the header advert for phones
3) if inserting ads inside stories, make sure they are not colliding with other images or things like long non-breaking words.

Experiment with that.

Might not be the issue, but just some feedback.

Yes, look at your page source on a post page (do “view source” from your web browser), scroll down to find the logo element, which is above the search box section. Look at the div class right above the “container” for your logo. Find the class name, which probably has ‘logo’ in it. In my case it was td-full-logo; you need to obviously use the CSS class for the layout you’re using.

Christopher,

Thank you for your answer. I’m using the full text logo + menu. Code doesn’t work with this setting. Any advice?

Thanks,
Tim

You have to do this with custom CSS … basically add more padding or margin to the div element the logo resides in, or the class being used for the logo specifically on the desktop view.

I just had to do this myself actually… (look at your page source, find the logo, then look at the div above the container:

In my case using full width logo (add this to custom css panel in the theme panel):
.td-full-logo{padding-top:9px;padding-bottom:12px !important}

Hi, I am only facing this on Mac computers only (on Chrome and Safari). The logo is bleeding over into the other parts of the website. I do not see this problem on my PC. I have tried changing things around with no success.

Thanks, a small bug in the code.

The logo is first showing in the middle and then to the css position.
Is it possible to show it direct with the right or left style, and not in the middle?

Hi Lucian,

I just uploaded a background to the site mentioned above and it broke the header again. It has re-created problem 3 – the logo drooping out of the bottom of the header.

I tried re-uploading the logo sized at a height of 80px, and left your custom CSS in place, but the logo is still out of place.

Please let me know what you think the problem is when you can spare a minute or two,
Jamie

Hi,

You refer to this title: http://screencast.com/t/EFrv4D6kxmaT as this is not visible on mobile, just on desktops and it depends by the browser you use.
If you refer at the text logo, seems to me that the logo looks fine on mobiles screens also: http://screencast.com/t/qeXP1153mFFm
Please provide more details about this, a screenshot would also help.
Regarding the category issue please note that the menu from mobile contains the same content as the one from desktops just another design so what configuration you have fro the main menu the same will appears for mobile menus also.

Thanks

Hi Support,

One question, is it possible to use the Style 3 Full width logo + menu with the logo at the right side. Standard the logo is in the middle of the site.

We want the style 3 logo in the right because the 970 ad is displaying good with the theme. i can not found the style in the css.

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

1. This is the menu: http://screencast.com/t/WhP5E5Ny an you can set a background color for it from theme panel > theme colors, like this: http://screencast.com/t/ATvlTvxVB
2. That happens because of the height of the logo which needs to be at 80px maximum height. You can fix this via css and use the css from below in theme panel > custom css filed: http://screencast.com/t/JNxk7GFpql

Use this css to fix the third problem:

@media (min-width: 1200px) { .td-header-style-8.td-affix .td-style-8-logo-wrapper .td-logo {
max-height: 80px !important;
}
.td-header-style-8 .td-style-8-logo-wrapper .td-logo {
max-height: 80px !important;
}
.td-header-style-8 {
height: 76px !important;
}
}

/* responsive landscape tablet */
@media (min-width: 1019px) and (max-width: 1200px) {
.td-header-style-8.td-affix .td-style-8-logo-wrapper .td-logo {
max-height: 50px !important;
}
.td-header-style-8 .td-style-8-logo-wrapper .td-logo {
max-height: 80px !important;
}
}

/* responsive portrait tablet */
@media (min-width: 768px) and (max-width: 1018px) {
.td-header-style-8 .td-style-8-logo-wrapper a img {
max-width: 140px !important;
}
.td-header-style-8 .td-style-8-content-wrapper .td-head-style8-logo-desktop {
display: block !important;
}
}

/* responsive phone */
@media (max-width: 767px) {
.td-header-style-8 .td-style-8-content-wrapper .td-head-style8-logo-desktop {
display: block !important;
}

.td-header-style-8 .td-menu-wrap {
height: 48px !important;
}
}

Thanks

Hi,

You will have to set a logo from here: http://screencast.com/t/vUxxBd9C
Or if you ask about how to add a background image for the header you can do it like this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/header-image-3/#post-24274
Here are more info about how to create your header: https://forum.tagdiv.com/header/

Thanks

Hi,

My site can be found here – http://getgaining.com/

Problem 1: I currently have “Transparent Header” toggled off, yet the header is still transparent.
Problem 2: There appears to be a second line atop the page, below the header. I’m not sure why it’s there or what it is. It doesn’t appear in any of the demo themes I see on your site.
Problem 3: My logo hangs slightly out of position.

I’ve taken screenshots of the problems here – http://imgur.com/a/LDdj1

Please let me know how to solve these as soon as you have a couple minutes to spare.

Thank you for your time.

Hi,

Unfortunately the fashion stack logo doesn’t have a font family because it is an image created using Photoshop.
Sorry for the inconvenience!

Thanks for the message!

Hi,

Abrazo

Hi,

You can do it via custom css, use this selectors:
.td_ul_logout li a, .td_ul_login li a{
color: black;
}

Please note that this widget was designed to be used in the top right widgetised area.

This sentence “You must be logged in to create new topics” is not within theme files, I suggest you check for it within bbpress.

You can try with a plugin or you can take a look at how the login widget it’s made and find a way to content it to your bbpress login/register page.

Thanks
