Hi,
As I said before, a mobile theme is a simple version for mobile. Please check the documentation provided above.
Thank you!

Hello,
Please note that we try to answer as many topics as possible (support hours (GMT+2) are from Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-support/ The support hours may be affected by our nation’s legal holidays.
It seems you have the mobile theme plugin activated.
Please deactivate the plugin, tagdiv mobile theme, clear all cache.
The mobile theme comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
So, if you want to use the cloud templates, then you need to disable the mobile theme and AMP plugins, and then use the responsive version.
You can disable the mobile theme plugin on the pages from the Gutenberg editor using the following option => https://www.screencast.com/t/axXRJsWby
Also, please check this topic where I explained each mobile version -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-version-not-working-properly-2/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/amp-pages-not-working-well-with-this-theme/ and choose what mobile version you want.
Thank you!
Hello everyone,
I would like to raise a concern regarding my website. When I go to my “About Us” page in the mobile version it shows nothing. But the desktop version works properly. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Additionally, the sub-menu pages under the “More” section are not visible on the mobile version. Can anyone tell me how to fix this issue?

Kind regards,
Khan Mohammad Imran

Hi,
If you disable the mobile theme plugin, then disable also, the amp, because the amp works with the mobile theme.
Thank you!
Hi Bettina,
Before writing to support, I made several experiments to make the global menu visible on mobile view too but nothing worked. Later I came in here to get a solution. I hope you know how to overcome this issue.
The live theme demo for Lifestyle Pro by tagDiv also doesn’t show the menu on mobile view. I just want to make that visible somehow. The one left to the logo is fine, I am happy with that.
TD live demo without mobile menu https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_lifestyle_pro/
pls guide.
Thanks Calin.
On the hamburger menu background: Is there a way that we can add a class to that DIV that holds the background image on the mobile hamburger menu/search menu? I don’t think we can set a defer value using CSS and having to write JS to find it will likely incur even bigger penalties in PSI.
On the images on viewports such as mobile, being too big:
Do you mean loading the original template as a mobile template and swapping out those values in Flex Blocks? I’m try to avoid separate mobile templates, as it easily doubles my work and it becomes ever harder to maintain two versions.
Hopefully in the future a dropdown per viewport inside the theme will allow us to choose which size to load. 😉
Kudos on the theme, btw. It’s stellar!
Hey @Anamaria,
This seems to have done it! BUT .. somehow the next-previous icon don’t appear together…the < icon is way above and hidden within the image. Also, I don’t see the other images in the same row (I only see one image per slide). What am I missing?
+ when the page loads, it takes a while to appear.
I cannot put it on a test page to show but you can see it on a mobile theme page that I am building here (you can see it on a desktop too).
Thank you for your help so far, and I hope to hear from you on this again!

Hi,
Do you use the mobile theme and have this option set -> https://i.imgur.com/XIGSvl8.png or do you have only the amp plugin activated?
Thank you!
Hi Bettina,
Thanks for sharing those details.
I don’t like overloading the site with extra plugins so my expectation is just to use the same site theme for cross-devices.
What I noticed in method 1 above for the Lifestyle Pro theme, the primary menu doesn’t appear as shown in the screenshot I shared earlier. Pls guide how to make this visible for all screen sizes.
FYI, I have installed the mobile theme plugin. Then under Theme Panel > Mobile Theme > Header > MAIN MENU > selected the same menu that appears on the desktop site. But still doesn’t show any. See here https://paste.pics/f6652c91b63ea3721f356ab38fbe07c7
The site is on the local wamp server.
Hi,
For the mobile background color, what I can suggest is to clear the background color from the theme panel – https://i.imgur.com/tbHbRIu.png and try to use a background – image – https://i.imgur.com/DIKZcmT.png or an alternative will be to set the background image using a custom css that will be add in the body content to be used only after the content is loaded.
I understand, not really for the moment flex blocks do not allow selecting a different image size for the mobile version, this problem can be solved using a mobile page template for the single element and change only the essential elements, such as the thumbs – https://prnt.sc/hpBWwXASLeF9 – https://i.imgur.com/9qRH9JA.png convert header and footer too – https://prnt.sc/ASiv_cYqALhq – https://i.imgur.com/UXw4W7e.png
Thank you!
I use mobile theme and the option is set to amp since day 1.
Hi,
Do you use the mobile theme and have this option set -> https://i.imgur.com/XIGSvl8.png or do you have only the amp plugin activated?
Thank you!
Hi nbastreetbets, I checked your website and this is not looking ok on both desktop and mobile and the same content is displayed. Maybe before the mobile theme plugin was also enabled.
Thank you!
Hi chrisfoxatx,
1. For the size of the images you have, you have perfectly selected the thumbs to use – https://i.imgur.com/UM6OgFa.png They work like this after they are activated in the theme panel, these thumbs are created for each image that is loaded in the media, now the problem is with the ones that are already loaded, for these, you have to use a regeneration plugin that should resolve the problem with the retina resolution.
Normally when you select that thumb, for example, 696×0, the thumb with the size 696xauto and retina size will be used instead of the original image.
2. You should use the retina option for all 3 sizes of thumbs you use, this way you will get the best result on both windows and retina (don’t forget to regenerate the images if these options were not selected from the beginning, i.e. before adding the images to the media, and when regenerating select delete all thumbs and regenerate new ones).
3. When you edit the flex element with tagDiv Composer you have the option to select the size of the thumb, as a suggestion I recommended using a middle size because it cannot be adjusted per viewport, it can only be changed if you use the mobile page template.
Also, if the retina thumb is selected in the theme panel and the image has been regenerated, when you select, for example, the 696×0 thumb on windows, the retina thumb corresponding to the 696×0 thumb will be automatically used when a retina device is used.
4. Unfortunately here I can not suggest the best of all with the theme, but a plugin that is ok with the theme is EWWW Image Optimizer , but I have seen many users who also use Smush and Imagify.
I hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Highly optimized and clean responsive design theme gets me 84 on Google PageSpeed mobile, but Speed Index (4.7s) and LCP (3.6s) is not good.
I can’t get find a way to reduce the unused (theme?) CSS/Javascript (1.2s) so I’m trying to optimize these:
1) Defer offscreen images 0.35s on <div class=”td-menu-background” style=”visibility:hidden”>
This is the background menu/search image on the mobile viewport:
Lazy Load settings/plugins for some reason won’t defer it.
How to defer it?
2) Efficiently encode images 0.25s on <div class=”tdb-featured-image-bg”>
The featured image is shows full desktop size on the mobile viewport:
On a desktop I show the 1920×0 version, retina quality for devices that support it.
The mobile viewport is showing the same big size, not a smaller version.
How to fix this? Maintaining separate mobile/stale AMP templates is not cost-effective/productive for most of us.
Hello!
We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page.Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.
A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
If you need to use the mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to disable the Mobile Theme plugin.
If you want to keep the mobile theme plugin, then you should choose the menu from here: https://prnt.sc/qOxOPNs-wZhj
Thank you!
FYI, I have installed and activated Mobile theme too.
Hi,
Using our theme you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
If you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer, then when you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
So, the mobile responsive is what you see then that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edit with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin not.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activate and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories pages/404 page you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activate.
So, if you want to design the pages with tagDiv Composer, you can use the mobile page or mobile responsive version.
Thank you!
Hi! Can I customize the front page if I activate tagDiv Mobile Theme plugin?
For example, I need 5 articles from one section, then 4 articles from another section.
Now I see that only the option Latest articles is available for the front page with tagDiv Mobile Theme plugin.
Hello @danapradana49!
You should click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB and place the ads also in the mobile header.

Hello,
For mobile theme + Amp the content need to be added in Mobile Editor -> https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH
To have the option exit amp, you need to enable the redirect mobile devices to the amp.
For about us, you translate it from Theme Panel -> Translations-> Translations or you can simply set a space and then will not be displayed.
Please check this topic where I explained each mobile version -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-version-not-working-properly-2/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/amp-pages-not-working-well-with-this-theme/ and choose what mobile version you want.
Thank you!
Hello,
I am facing a few issues with AMP version.
I have mobile theme plugin & amp plugin enabled. Also I have set the setting to Mobile + AMP.
My first issue is its not showing content on pages. For post its working fine but for pages, content is empty.
My 2nd issue is, its not showing “Exit AMP” version button below. (FYI, my “redirect mobile devices to amp” setting is disabled).
In footer, its showing a section called “About Us”. I want to disable it. How can I?
Thanks
