Hello @samstrat!

AMP is faster and works better only with Mobile Theme plugin. If you’ll use Mobile theme plugin, then you can not edit the pages with TagDiv Composer.
You have only some settings for this layout, which you can find in Theme panel -> Mobile Theme. The same thing for AMP plugin too.
If you really want to change the way it’s working and looking, then this will require custom work which is not covered by the support team.
If you use default templates, then please make sure you have Standard pack plugin installed and active.

Thank you!

Hi Team,

Hello @artsetsu!

From my point of view, if you don’t use the Mobile Theme plugin, then there is no reason or benefit from AMP.
Please make sure you downloaded the right AMP plugin which is installed and active and you’ve set the option Mobile + AMP.

If the problem is still there, then please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide the following:
– admin url and credentials
– a link to this topic in order to identify you
Our team will take a look!

Thank you!

Hello @andreabarbieri!

If you do not want to see any AMP pages then please disable the amp plugin and if you use the Mobile theme plugin, please make sure you use the option without amp.
Please make a test, deactivate all the cache plugins, clear the cache from your browser and see the results.
Please make sure you save it like that and also after modifications reindex by Google.

Thank you!

Hello,

The mobile theme comes with its own templates/design for pages, posts, categories, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/3
Also, if you want to hide the featured image on the blocks, you can hide it with custom code CSS -> `
.td_module_mob_1 .item-details {
margin-left: 0px;
}
.td_module_mob_1 .td-module-thumb {
display: none;
}

` => https://i.imgur.com/mClWxeM.png
This need to be set in the theme panel> mobile theme > custom code> css.
Also, if you want to have more control over the mobile version, you can use the mobile page and you can make the changes with tagDiv Composer, like on the desktop version.

Thank you!

Hello,
Im experiencing a lot of 502 and 504 errors. Our site is westfaironline.com. Back in October I was told to update the theme to its latest version. Which I did, but we are still having the same issues. I contacted our hosting provider and this is what they are telling me:

We have identified high admin-ajax.php utilization originating from the westfairsite install. Currently there is excessive ajax usage recently which is affecting the servers CPU Usage and affecting other users on the Shared server environment.

/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?td_theme_name=Newsmag&v=5.1
Because hits to admin-ajax.php can’t be cached, they tend to utilize a lot of the server’s resources. Therefore, you will want to contact your developer in order to reduce this usage so that the site performs better.

There are also a large amount of requests from the same IPs and user agents hitting the site at the moment. If these are legitimate, we suggest placing the site behind our Advanced Network/CloudFlare directly, and/or taking steps to minimize these hits either with a robots.txt crawl delay, or a code delay if these are part of a service. If they are not expected, we can assist with implementing blocks if you would like.

Hi nayenews,
So, if I understand correctly, you are already use the mobile theme plugin with amp , using one of those options -> https://i.imgur.com/kzGpLFo.png there should be no errors.
Also please provide a link to your website and some screenshots with those errors.
Thank you!

Hi guys, I am using Newspaper theme for years now (on many sites!) and I am very happy with it.

I am in the need of changing the Google Analytics code. I have a website with mobile theme + AMP, as your suggestions.

Now, I removed the code from the AMP Analytics section, https://prnt.sc/20xmwry
but I see traffic (ONLY Amp) in the Real Time Analtics dashboard! https://imgur.com/a/G6sykXi

If you make inspection of any page, you will find no code (UA-XXX..) in ANY page. I already flushed the cache, many times.

So, I ask you: how is this possible?
Do you know of any back-end installation of Newspaper theme of the Analytic code?

I need to remove it!

My site: https://www.beautydiary.it/
Thank you

Hello!

Please check some tips in order to pass Google’s Core Web Vitals:

https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/score-100100-pagespeed-with-newspaper-wordpress-theme/
https://www.stanventures.com/blog/cumulative-layout-shift/
https://web.dev/cls/ -> https://web.dev/optimize-cls/
https://www.datadab.com/blog/fix-cumulative-layout-shift/
https://wp-rocket.me/google-core-web-vitals-wordpress/improve-cumulative-layout-shift/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/to-high-cumulative-layout-shift-in-mobile-theme/
https://www.perrill.com/should-i-be-worried-about-core-web-vitals/
https://www.contentkingapp.com/academy/core-web-vitals/

Some factors which you need to take into account are:
External factors: server speed, if you are using CDN or not, the external resources loaded by your website like ads, fonts, tracking scripts like Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Twitter analytics, Hotjar and so on.
Internal factors: the number of elements on the page, image size, image formats, if you are using mobile optimized layouts, console errors, if you are using the Standard Pack plugin on not, if you are using PRO demo or a standard one. So, we recommend to use for mobile the responsive version: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/issue-with-lcp/

Hope that helps you!

HI,

I am not asking for your support for page speed, it is related to your product that you built and sale on ThemeForest.

My question was How to change the related post style/element in the mobile theme plugin like flex block-1 – https://prnt.sc/22xkrlv

I want to use this kind of related post – https://prnt.sc/22xkrlv on mobile theme plugin instead of this – https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/18503343?key=01f53a15aba49e950fb004f218f00ebc

There should be an option in the Theme panel => mobile theme to customize the mobile theme frontend as well.

Hello @lalit!

I recommend you to optimize your images before uploading in the Media Library.
Please make sure that you have activated the proper thumbs for the Mobile Theme. The mobile theme requires the “265×198” and the “741×486” thumbnail sizes in order to show the featured images properly.

This can be found in here: https://www.screencast.com/t/N18dR3qZrh

After activating the thumbnail sizes you need to regenerate your thumbnails using a plugin. Check this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-the-theme-with-existing-content/

Please note that page speed is not covered by the support team: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-support/

Hope that helps you!

Hello,

If you to have the mobile responsive version, then please make sure you don’t have the mobile theme plugin activated and a mobile page/template assigned => https://i.imgur.com/ZsvPPYa.png -> https://i.imgur.com/SrSiyUg.png

Also, please check this topic where I explained each mobile version -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-version-not-working-properly-2/ and choose what mobile version you want.

Thank you!

Hello!

1. I can not see any black line at the top on the homepage in your website. Did you mean the sticky header or the top bar menu?
2. This demo uses the responsive version for mobile. A responsive version of your website is looking similar like on desktop, edit the page with TagDiv Composer, click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB ; there you can see your mobile version and you can edit the elements there.

Yes, you can import other templates and use mobile pages which are fully customizable and could be so different than desktop version, so you should build and assign them to each desktop page you need. If you do not build for every page, then for the rest of the pages you’ll have the responsive version of your desktop automatically. For more information about mobile pages, please check our article here: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/

OR if you do not want to build every page style, but you need different style too, then you can install the Mobile theme plugin. The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates/design for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/

You can use which one is suitable for your needs.

Thank you!

Hello Ashish Kumar Mishra!

This issue about Web Stories has been discussed already in this topic, please check: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/web-stories-conflict-with-newspaper-in-web-stories-titles/

The issue can be from a plugin conflict or a cache issue, that’s why, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache (also from your browser) and try again.

Thanks for the clarification Bettina.

I like the mobile theme, but it seems i have to sacrifice a lot of content and creative presentation.

So i decide to try mobile pages, but then I have other issues with cache (since i do not use the recommended cache plugin). I will explore it further later.

Dear support team,

Thank you for your support all the time , I have questions as below

1. In pc version only, how to hide / reomve the black color line in top(with date and social media icon). I could edit the elements but cannot remove the whole line.

Example: http://www.hk01.com

2. Synchronize in PC and mobile version

Refer to below examle

https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_magazine_pro/#

In my site, It only apply the sample theme, which only have latest news and without the catalog.

I guess that the reason is the selected per-build them is the normal one. Is it possible to apply other theme for mobile version only? I just don’t want to re-set everything.

Many thanks for support

I want to reduce the right margin as shown in the picture, extending right beyond the header and body.

wide right margin

I want to achieve what https://www.screencast.com/t/AplrIm3zs5 shows in the thread, https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/menu-problem-12/. It says “you need to set the margin left and right on the row to -20”. But this has no effect on the right margin for me.

Mobile wide right margin

I can force the content into the middle of the screen by increasing the left margin to, say, 20, but I can’t reduce the right margin.

I have switched off background color/image in the Theme Panel as per the thread, and tried the other things.

It looks bad the smaller the screen and mostly on the mobile phone.

It varies as I adjust the the row “stretch row and 1200px content” to “default”, etc, but I want to stay with “stretch row and 1200px content” as it matches the header.

Hope you can help!

Thanks.
