Hello!

Did you activate the Mobile Theme on that page? Please check this topic to understand how you can do that: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/website-look-is-different-in-mobile-browser/
Please note that if a page is made by Composer, than the content won’t be displayed.

Thank you!

Hello,

Usually, this problem when the mobile theme is displaying on the desktop, the plugin for the cache that you are using do not recognize the mobile and desktop cache. We recommend using the WP Super Cache plugin https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
The mobile theme plugin uses a standard layout for mobile to make it faster, but for this, all your pages need to be remade using the mobile editor (so you can only add the elements that are present in the toolbar, without shortcodes (blocks) and the shortcode for the contact form (if you copy-paste the code will not work)).

I recently updated my website to the latest version.
https://bikeadvice.in/

Here are the issues
1) At my homepage the ‘Latest News’ Articles are now displayed completely (full articles). How can I change back to the
normal view of the small featured image at the left, followed by the headline (and optional excerpts), like it was since the beginning. I follow the Pagebuilder + latest articles + pagination template.
2) Category pages have also reverted to a different Module. I don’t understand why?
3) Mobile homepage header is not showing my website’s image logo (I will try to manually revert this back).

From the theme panel the different module displays have also been taken away?

Please help.

Hello!

If you created the mobile pages with TagDiv Composer, then when you install Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin.
The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
We was also talking about this here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/amp-version-page-not-being-displayed/ and I was explained to you what will happened if you create your page with TagDiv Composer plugin.

Thank you!

Hello,

I am using the latest version of the newspaper theme. But in the mobile version, the search button and the menu button overlap. Actually, I did not place a search button in that field in the desktop and tablet versions. How do I solve an emergency?

Thanks, I’ve deactivated the mobile theme plugin. However, now when I look at the website pages on mobile when I scroll down the screen slides from side to side. Is there a way I can improve the mobile view?

Hello Anamaria,
Thank you for your reply.
Disabling the mobile theme plugin and clearing the cache fixed my display issues on Chrome.
On the other hand, I confirm that the breadcrumb only appears on certain pages (rather the posts) of my site.
It was displayed on all the pages of my site before the update.
Do you know how to fix this?
Best regards,
Stephane

Hello,

the problem is: When you import your theme settings to another site using Newspaper, you have to copy&paste the sourcecode of every page to the new site. Then you must create the blank template’s and copy&paste the templates to the news one. And then you have to create a blank mobile version and copy&paste also the sourcecode of the mobile one’s.

On my hosting provider (raidboxes) I can use dev-sites and staging-areas to handle this. Or you can use the plugin WP Staging. But it is still complex and error-prone.

Hello,

Unfortunately, the option for auto loading on posts does not work if you use the mobile theme plugin.

Thank you for your understanding!

Hello,

Seems you have the mobile theme plugin activate, and this is displayed also, on the desktop.
Usually, this problem when the mobile theme is displaying on the desktop, then you have a cache conflict, the plugin for the cache that you are using do not recognize the mobile and desktop cache. We recommend using the WP Super Cache plugin https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Also, if you don’t want to use the mobile theme plugin, you can deactivate the plugin.

Thank you!

We use Mobile Theme plugin, which uses the following code to change the location of the mobile anchor advertisement from top to bottom, but it does not work. Where should I insert the code to operate on a mobile theme?

★script★ async src=”https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsby
google.js”>★script★
★script★
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({
google_ad_client: “ca-pub-★★★”,
enable_page_level_ads: true,
overlays: {bottom: true}
});

Is there a way to hack/somewhere in the plugin code to change the mobile theme to use 300×160 thumbnail instead? It’s the only thumbnail I’ve enabled in the theme. I found that activating all thumbnails on the theme generate massive files per post (I can post up to 10 product images when writing review posts)

When I activate the Mobile Theme for my website now, it also affects the desktop version of the site. It didn’t used to be that way before. Example image:

And this affects the entire site, not just the front page. Why is this happening, and how can I enable the mobile theme without it affecting desktop?

Hello,

It looks like you have activated the mobile theme plugin.

Better deactivate the plugin and see the results.

Unfortunately, there is a big difference between version v7.2to version 11.
Here you can find information about the changes that have occurred in each update over time https://tagdiv.com/newspaper/
Also, for example, the breadcrumbs appear on the category page https://www.screencast.com/t/B4UJQhVko
For grids and colors I’m not sure I fully understand your issue, can provide some screenshots of what should look like or what colors should be applied.

Thank you!

Hi @gweston2021, what @simchris say it can help, but also there can be other cases, as I can see you are using the mobile theme plugin and this has pagination -> https://i.imgur.com/qX5w4ut.png therefore this can be another situation why the /page/2 page/3 are indexed. For desktop you do not have a pagination, therefore all the results will be to homepage, but on mobile this will be different.
Thank you!

I love everything about the mobile theme since that is the only way to achieve the core web vitals, but one thing is, articles do not autoload on the mobile theme, is there a way to enable this feature for the mobile theme?
Like place some codes or something to achieve that?

Hi,

That is required when using the mobile theme plugin, you will have to create a desktop page and a mobile page, for each page.

The same content will be displayed on mobile only when not using the mobile theme in general – https://i.imgur.com/2EwywJQ.png or excluding specific pages from the mobile theme like this – https://i.imgur.com/pNdQhv7.png

The mobile theme is optional. If want the same content for pages to be displayed on desktop and mobile, please deactivate it.

Please let us know if you have more questions.

Thank you!

You are about to add a corresponding script for the mobile version of the newspaper theme.
It’s a script that lowers the ad-sense anchor advertisement to the bottom, so can I know why?

https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js”>(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({ google_ad_client: “ca-pub-ㅌㅌㅌㅌㅌㅌ”, enable_page_level_ads: true, overlays: { bottom: true } });
