Hey guys, I’m using “Edit with TD Composer” to create my website this time (http://jcpremierphotography.com), and I love the way it looks on the desktop, however, on mobile, there is a big gap after the first picture. You can see the difference in the screenshots below. How do I fix this?

I activated the tagDiv mobile theme to see if it would help, but it didn’t. Any tips?

Hi
I have moved from the Genesis framework to newspaper theme. Everything is okay with the theme but one major issue I have found may be hoping that in the future update you will rectify it.

When I use the table of six columns and row it does not properly optimize on the mobile device but it looks good on the Desktop and Tablet screen.
I am no mood in using any plugin as after removing the plugin post looks ugly.
Most of the content on my website is depend on Table only.

Please rectify it
I am showing some example
Here is the post where four table is used.
https://www.isportsleague.com/pro-kabaddi-team-bengal-warriors/

the first table is okay as it is small.
the second table is created during the old theme.
The third and fourth table is created while using the newspaper theme. I have changed some HTML code so it looks good in the third table but the last table is just for test purpose for you all. You can see this is not showing properly on Mobile. Please help me.

You can only achieve a separate menu when using the mobile theme plugin which provides a separate menu for mobile devices. you cannot have separate menus on the standard responsive version of the theme:

Thank you!

Hello,

The breadcrumbs in question are not a theme implementation. They seem to be hidden on mobile devices. You cna activate them using this code:

@media (max-width: 767px){
.single-post .td-bred-no-url-last {
display: block;
}

But they do not appear to be responsive properly however.

Thanks.

Hi,

Just purchased the theme and need to install tagDiv Composer plugin. My server setting is secured and there is no direct FTP/FTPS/SSH connection (ssh connection uses a different port number than 22). Can you please make the direct download link available for the tagDiv Composer plugin, and also the others like tagDiv Amp and Mobile plugin.

Thanks,
Raj

If you use the mobile theme plugin, you will have to make the customization in the mobile folder as well: https://www.screencast.com/t/pQ9oPQmi

hello,

The amp template was implemented according to the current standards. It is the exact same implementation made by Yoast for example: https://yoast.com/wordpress-seo/amp/

As you can see there is no menu on their website as well. But we will consider implementing this into our themes as this request becomes more and more popular.
The amp plugin uses the mobile logo so please check your mobile logo in the theme panel. Make sure it is high quality. Check from your mobile device also, not from desktop as AMP i a mobile only implementation. A user cannot access it using desktop unless specifically wanting to by adding /amp after the url

The search button redirects you to the main page which is what it needs to do so the user can get to your site as well.
Your amp version works properly.

Thank you!

Please open a new topic and provide a link to your site and more details to what exactly is not working.

Hello pinnaclecompass,

Unfortunately, the theme does not have any such an option that allows you to change the theme’s width on mobile devices, sorry! The mobile layout of the theme is set up by default and notice that if you want to make some changes over it you should do it yourself through the code. Also, if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this case, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!

Thanks for the message!

Hello politico,

Did you have tried the Mobile Theme plugin? Please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ You should not manually optimize the theme for mobile devices, sorry!

Thanks for the message!

Hello,

IS THERE ANY WAY TO HAVE THE “NEWSPAPER” THEME AUTOMATICALLY MOBILE OPTIMISED WITH ALL THOSE PAES AND POSTS? INSTEAD OF MAKING EVERY PAGE/POST Mobile-optimised, MANUALLY? THE TECHNOLOGY HAS GONE TOO FAR. Nowadays, IT CREATES UNNECESSARY WORKLOADS TO KEEP BUILDING POSTS AND PAGES SEPARATELY, ONE FOR WEB AND OTHER FOR MOBILE. This idea is just out-dated.

CAN WE JUST DO THE WORK ONCE AND THE THEME WILL MAKE THAT WORKING FOR BOTH WEB AND MOBILE WITHOUT REQUIRING ANY EXTRA MANUAL WORK SEPARATELY?

We need the answer urgently as we may need to find another theme as it wouldn’t be good for us to keep it. Thanks

The theme is very versatile. But is there a way to define footer height on for mobile devices? The footer looks fine on desktop and tablet, but when you look on a smartphone, there’s a lot of empty space and the footer is out of proportion. The header can be defined for mobile, but it would be great if that can be done with the footer.

Cheers,
Martin.

The mobile menu on my newspaper theme is completely out of place whenthe page loads. See here: https://www.irelandbeforeyoudie.com

It fixes when you scroll down and back up but it still looks very poor.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Do you make a slight change to an element?
What I want to do is in this image : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1u8OT3Sw47mN2b_zAF8rxK2KkTaVoSVoW
To do this, “Text with image ” is the most appropriate element.But I’ve encountered two minor problems.

Problem 1: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1hUCJEkq7vI0rUwpvL6uEQYLOADLI6ghH
There is a little space between the text and the Image field. I don’t think the picture and the writing area are 50-50 percent.

Problem 2: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1shc8QQB0evThe1gYEr1muH6Lduy2aBjX
When I use more than one of the same element, two photos and two text fields come together in Mobile view. I tried to explain my solution suggestion with a photo because my English is insufficient.

do you think to help? 🙂

If you’re open to recommendations and error notifications to make this beautiful theme more beautiful, I can tell you more.

Note: I’m sorry if I’m rude.

Hi,

Sorry but our theme does not use bootstrap. It is a custom implementation. There is no setting to alter the responsiveness to have the mobile menu on ipad. Sorry.

Thanks.

Hello cucadigital,

I have inspected your website on my mobile and the menu seems to works as expected. Make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme installed via FTP way, remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches, purge CND files and check the results.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello,

It is most likely the mobile theme plugin. please read this guide to learn about the mobile theme plugin implementation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Thank you!

Hello,

@francojoint
, yes, this happens because you did not add anything in the mobile editor. Please read this guide to learn about what the mobile theme plugin does and what implementation is needed for it: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
The theme is also responsive without the mobile theme. The plugin is just an alternative so if you do not like the implementation you can always disable it and use the standard responsive version of the theme.

@Viju
The theme does not offer any style settings for amp so it can only be done with custom code modifications. Please check this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/fonts-for-quotes-in-amp/

Thank you!

Hi,
I am happy with overall theme and how easy it is to setup.
Few issues on the website I am working on:

1. Font with Vietnamese diacritics on mobile does not show in right font. Here’s the screen cap.
Text should be all serif, but letters with Vietnamese diacritics are san-serif.
Here’s the site URL: http://d8r.282.myftpupload.com
Page with Vietnamese diacritics URL: http://d8r.282.myftpupload.com/2016/06/su-gian-du-trong-tieu-thuyet-cua-nguoi-my-goc-a-cuoc-phong-van-voi-tac-gia-nguyen-thanh-viet/
I use single post content (tdb_single_content) element.
It seems like diacritics does not show in right font when the font is italics or bold. Post paragraph in regular style shows up fine.

2. Flex Block 1 on mobile displays funky.
Here’s the screen cap.

Notice how the excerpt text is flowing over the feature image.

3. I would like to insert category name above the first post’s title on the homepage
Is it possible to disply the category name above the title “Freedom in Unrest: A Girl in a Book // Khairani Barokka”? I would like the category text to be crimson text, upper case, not with a black background. Please provide CSS if possible.

4. On Category page, I have setup infinite scroll + load more for the pagination style. It seems like the load more button shows up after the 3rd loading of the post loop which is confusing. Could I set the load more button to show up after I scrolled to the bottom of the screen for the first time? Also, I need more padding below the load more button. Here’s the screen cap.

Hi,

So the pages are completely empty? That is unusual, please provide a link to your website so I can check on mobile. For example the mobile homepage, there should be a front-page with the intended elements, a top grid and latest articles
https://www.screencast.com/t/4OqDKf94

As a note, when the mobile theme is active you have to create 2 versions of each page. One for desktop with the page builder or in any way possible, and one for mobile with the simple mobile editor
https://www.screencast.com/t/EBJcP5XIb
If a page has nothing in the mobile editor, it will be empty (when the mobile theme is active).

Thanks

Hi Simion,

probably I’m not able to explain my self properly.
The thing is that when I activate the plugin I visualize nothing from mobile. The pages look to be empty.

I wish I could check how this plugin optimizes the mobile experience, but actually, the only thing I’ve seen so far is nothing.

So, the thing I was asking since the beginning was, is it normal? am I doing something wrong? ’cause to be honest I’m not satisfied with how some pages look on mobile and I would like to check how the plugin works, one of the reasons we got this theme too.

Meanwhile, I will try again.
Thanks

Hi,

You could activate the mobile theme and check the website on mobile, see how it looks and works. That would be the only way to visualize the mobile theme variant.

If you consider that it is what you want, keep it active. If not, deactivate it. There will be no problem, it all depends on what you consider to be the best choice.

Thanks

Hi,

You mean different content on mobile than on desktop? Maybe you have activated the mobile theme plugin, that would explain it
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

The plugin is optional, so if you wish to display the same content from desktop on mobile, deactivate it.

If you have a problem of different kind, I could take a look. Provide a link to your website.

Thanks
