Hello
I would like the mobile header / logo to be much bigger than it is, probably 3 x the size or more.
When I use inspect I can see how to increase the size of th elogo itself, but not the black header behind it. So the logo overspills onto the content.
Please can you advise how I increase the whole header area as well as the logo size?

Hi,
I have successfully solved this issue with previous version of Newspaper and it was working well with Cloudflare even on mobile theme for my site www dot tomatoheart dot com . But with the recent update, I again started facing issues when cloudflare is on
If CloudFlare is under development mode or off, Everything works fine. I saw regular homepage on desktop and expected mobile theme based homepage on mobile ( it looks like this: https://i.imgur.com/XMXRHeG.jpg)
but when I enable the Cloudflare, mobile theme plugin for homepage stops working, and it starts showing the responsive mobile version of the desktop theme ( like this: https://i.imgur.com/hthWfRd.jpg )
Ironically, there is no issue on any other pages or posts except the homepage. I tried various settings under CloudFlare like disabling CSS minification or disabling Rocket loader, but nothing is working.
PS: I have just cleared all the cache. So, you might be getting the expected mobile version on mobile ( https://i.imgur.com/XMXRHeG.jpg) but wait for sometime and this issue will arise again on homepage.
Please help. Thank you.
Hello,
That is the default implementation of the mobile theme. Unfortunately it cannot be overwritten so simple as it will not allow any shortcode to be placed on the page with a do_shortcode function. The mobile theme will not allow that so i cannot provide an easy method to add content above the grid.
Thanks.
Hello r.schlutter,
In most cases, all of these issues come from untested plugins. I have inspected your source page, and I saw that you are using some untested plugins which can influence the theme behavior and cause a lot of unknown issues. Please try to disable all of them, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins. I noticed that you are using the mobile theme and the menu is not working. The theme is fully compatible with the mobile theme and until now we do not have any bad reports in this regard. If you are using the CDN system, you should purge all your files, clear all the caches and server caches and check the results.
If the problem is still there, you should try making a new fresh install from scratch, only with the required plugins and see how it will work.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for the message!
Hello tootiefrutie,
Unfortunately, our theme does not have any such an option that allows you a way to change the functionality of homepage from our mobile theme, sorry! Notice that all of your requests involve additional customizations and if you want to change the structure of it, you should edit the theme core file and alter the code in order to achieve as you wish. As a hint, you should edit the front-page.php and td_block_big_grid_mob_1.php file from mobile folder, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/PxQQyoCVN8jv -> http://screencast.com/t/XXkegGCC70a
Please notice that is not a simple task and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
Please check your site with google page speed insight: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Felregional.es%2Fbeta1%2F&tab=mobile and gtmetrix if you wish: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/elregional.es/hlh0rCm3
And make the proper adjustments. You can use this guide to some extent: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ but page speed is very personal and it depends a lot on your server.
You can give these 2 topics a shot also:

https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-chriss-custom-optimizations-for-functions-php-etc/
Thank you!
Is there a way to add first a custom element in the mobile theme?
Because I want to insert a Revolution Slider but it appears between the Top Grid and the Latest articles section.

nativemaxmagazine.com
Once we launched the website, all the images went out of whack. I used the regenerate thumbnails plugin, but to no avail. The website is no longer displaying any images on the homepage from mobile devices. please help! this is an international magazine, that cannot have this display! 🙂
Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you!
I see that the mobile theme displays biggrid posts from a featured category and then the latest posts. I need to change the query loop to display 5 posts from category x, then 5 posts from category y, and then 5 posts from category z. I guess I would like to use a different module on the front-page.php in mobile theme.. I love the speed and simplicity of the mobile theme however if I have no way to modify the mobile home page I will have to revert back to responsive theme which I’d rather not do.. Thanks

Hello Randykim,
I have checked your website and I saw that you are using the Newspaper 7.4 which is the previous version of the theme. Update it to the latest version of it which is Newspaper 7.5, use only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out any conflicting plugins. Clear all your caches and check the results. If you are suing the mobile theme, the layout of mobile will look like this -> http://screencast.com/t/wTdiOGvMXu and if you did not like this, you should disable the mobile plugin and theme will be automatically switched to the general responsive mode, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/PEvPTNRDVK2L

Hi,
Thank you for getting back to me. Sorry I forgot about the landing page. It’s there until we launch! I can give you access to the back end if you need it. Do you need to email me so that it’s not in the forum?
In regards to the mobile site, we are not using the mobile theme. I haven’t activatd as we preferred it without. Is this a problem with your theme?
We really need this sorted before we go live, do you have a number so that I can talk it through with you?
Hello,
please make sure you update your mobile theme plugin as it is needed. Please disable and delete files for your current mobile theme plugin and install it again from the main archive you download from envato.
Thank you!
OK,
Your site cannot be accessed because you have a coming soon screen going on. I suspect you are using the mobile theme plugin so those settings do not apply in this case. If you use the mobile theme plugin, ALL the mobile settings must be done through this section of the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/8zhXHyjIOQs1
Thank you

Hello,
The problem you mention is caused by wp super cache. Please use this solution for a quick fix:

I am getting the following error on the mobile homepage. Things are looking ok on Desktop. How do I resolve this? Thanks

Hello,
If the home page of the mobile theme is the one you are referring to, you cannot change the category. It will show the latest posts from the featured category. That is the top grid. The bottom element is a loop of all your latest articles. The mobile theme does not have settings to change these elements. If you want to have sorting options and different visual composer blocks, you will have to use the standard responsive version of the theme (disable the mobile theme plugin)

Hello,
Unfortunately there is no css to make the thumbs full width. We have not tried this but the thumbs must be created, not stretched if you want them to not loose their quality. If you enlarge any image it will loose it;s clarity and display blurred out on your mobile. That is why we try not to use css enlargement as much as possible. If you want to change the thumb used in the mobile theme you will require coding skills to do it properly.
Thank you!
Hello,
That is not a login request. It means you did not create a mobile menu at all. You are using the mobile theme plugin and that requires another menu created specially for the mobile theme. or the same menu only added to the mobile spot as well. Please access the menu areas of WP and set a mobile menu like so: http://screencast.com/t/MDlRXwsCCV2
Thank you!

Hello,
I have installed the mobile plugin on my website (it’s activated).
But when I go to my site with an iPhone. The plugin isn’t active (sometimes yes, sometimes no). I see the responsive normal theme.
I use WP Super Cache.

Hello,
Is it possible somehow to select which categories that shows on the mobiletheme-page?
Hello,
I have tested your ad but it seems to work fine if you use this method of implementing it: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads-non-adsense-ads/
Here is an example of it on a page using and ad block in visual composer: http://screencast.com/t/Cv9Ka6no
I placed the ad code in a custom ad spot in the theme panel like so: http://screencast.com/t/ergQJi8SE
On the mobile theme you have to place the script in the head tag again as the mobile theme uses a different header.php file: http://screencast.com/t/qW43t8Ca
I placed it as an article top ad: http://screencast.com/t/UrTiLY3bP – http://screencast.com/t/RXbjQ5spUG
Thank you!
Hi,
A couple of questions:
1. I have version 7.3 of the theme. I spent about a week customizing it and as I’m very untechnical, I had many difficulties. I’m finally happy with how my website looks now, but if I update to the latest version will I lose all my customizations? Doing it all again is a scary thought for me…!
2. For images, when I use ‘right align’ it doesnt work when viewing on mobile.
On desktop it shows the photo right aligned, but on mobile the photos appear above the text and in large size which looks strange. Do you know why this might be happening?
Using mobile with landscape view also shows the photo right-aligned. Vertical view does not — even for very small images. As most people use their phone in vertical view I’d really like to find a fix for this.
Thanks!
Hello,
The mobile theme settings allow a smar list ad to be placed on your site like so:
http://screencast.com/t/kIwVKXYOIfl
If you want a custom implementation of the mobile ad, please read this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/article-bottom-ad-not-working-on-smart-lists/
