Hi,

We love the theme (newspaper).

Only got 2 issues so far:

1. http://baws.se/ (utf8 characters – error… as you can see, also on mobile end, even though I’ve followed the steps you should with the .htaccess etc….)

2. This link for example http://baws.se/annonsering-kontakt/ and http://baws.se/avtal-villkor/ which can be reached from the footer. Doesn’t show up from the mobile end…. ?

Thats it for now, really happy otherwise!
Look forward to the solutions for the issues above.

Actually, I only need this kind of code for the Desktop site, as I’m fine for the tablets (which is only 6-10% of my audience) and fot the mobile, I’m gonna use the mobile theme.

So, I guess if you help me with some code, I’ll use it in the Desktop section of responsive CSS which I only saw it today (was it part of the update?).

Yes, I know.

But, the Mobile Smart List isn’t the SMART LIST1?

Why my mobile theme is loading the SMART LIST 7

Again, Take a look (in mobile):

I think there is a bug, I need the Smart List1

With the modern tablets and phones which are capable of full desktop browsing I think such and option is a must.
Can you think about adding such setting on the theme ? One should be able to complete disable mobile mode. Most sites have links to switch mobile to desktop version.

Hi,

Like Bogdan stated above the mobile theme comes with it own templates and the homepage content has a grid which displays featured articles and the latest articles section. There are not other sorting, filtering options in backend and also the offset feature is not available. We will consider it in future theme updates and also more options for mobile grid.

Thanks!

Ok thank you for the info, one more question, does the mobile theme support post offsets on the homepage just like the desktop blocks?

Hi,
The latest articles will only show the latest articles in the newest to oldest order. You cannot change the sorting with css unfortunately. If the latest articles on the mobile theme is what you are referring to, then there is no easy way to change the sorting. sorry. You will require substantial coding skills to do it as there was no sorting option added in the code.
Thank you!

Hello,

The mobile theme on desktop issue is a caching issue. Please check your cache and cdn server settings as if the cache is too strong, it will use the mobile theme on desktop as well.
As for the login, we have no such reports. The theme will not show any login details if there is no user actually logged in. This would be a terrible security issue and I can assure you there is no such security risk in our theme.
Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.

Thank you!

Hi,
The mobile theme will convert your smartlist to the default one as there will only be 1 smartlist, 1 post template, 1 homepage layout, 1 header, 1 footer and so on. Please read more about the mobile theme here:https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Your content will be converted for top loading speeds.
If you do not want to use the mobile theme you can simply deactivate the plugin.
Thank you!

Hi,
Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ You can customize the mobile ads, the mobile header and footer sections from the mobile settings of the theme panel. You cannot change the header and footer as the mobile theme uses only one header and one footer style. There are no other styles to chose from at the moment
For your third request please provide more details so i can understand better how to help.
Thank you!

Hi,

@drfrancky
As i understand it, you require the desktop version to show on mobile. Unfortunately our theme does not have such an option. It can be done but you will have to change lots of css so we recommend hiring a freelancer to help out as this will be no easy task.

@tayoso92
Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ if you also require the desktop version on mobile, the same answer as above applies

Thank you!

No, but now I’ll do different, no problem.

But I have a problem with my mobile theme. In a post with Smart List, on mobile is not loading the Smart List 1 (default) but the Smart List 7

Take a look (in mobile):

Hello,

Unfortunately pages are very different from posts. Visual composer can be activated on posts from the plugin settings but this is not tested or recommended. Posts have their own like buttons you can activate from here: http://screencast.com/t/X9c10hiLJIOm Unfortuantely these options will not work on the mobile theme and visual composer elements cannot be used as well. the mobile theme is very different from the main theme as it only uses limited features in order to provide top loading speeds. https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Thank you!

While editing a post and refreshing the updated post on the frontend of the site, I noticed that the footer – which I had previously disabled – was showing again. That was odd, but I figured it was a small hiccup.

However, I also noticed that none of the big grids worked anymore (on homepage and on category pages).
It’s almost as if something got reset (and somehow made the big grids stop working).

So, recapping: “Big grid” type of post display stopped working on categories and on the homepage. I was not working with those settings when it broke.

I checked the settings and it looks like everything is set up correctly.

I’ve tried:
– Ensuring unique articles is disabled
– Disabling plugins (despite not working with them when it stopped working)
– Removing all filters from the big grid (just showing posts from all categories, no filters)
– Adding a new big grid with no filters
– Adding a different type of big grid with no filters
– Removing other big grids from the page

Hi Catalin,

Thanks for your email. Very helpful.

I chose not to use the tagdiv mobile theme because I want the desktop and mobile site to be synchronized.

However, I want to know how i can change the ad banners on the mobile so I do not have the same banners running on both desktop and mobile platforms.

Secondly, I also want to change the mobile header and the mobile footer.

Thirdly, Can I also have the this inform of the javascript slider http://pix.my/KtcSxgLG

Any assistance here?

Hello Bogdan B.,

I also want the mobile theme to be in sync with the desktop.

I will like to remove the LATEST ARTICLES and replace with the items on the Desktop Page.

Kindly give assistance.

Hey guys,

I was looking to add a facebook like button to my page, and of course I can do this with Visual Composer, but then how do I add a like button to the mobile theme page? Is there a way to do it?
And what about a like button to the posts for the mobile theme? I only just realised there are only sharing buttons now. Thanks!

I am not referring to the mobile theme. it’s disabled. I am talking about the mobile optimizations of the main theme. I wish my site to be 1:1 as desktop one. The modern devices can handle all.

Hi,
On my mobile devices I cannot see the issue only on the browser emulator. Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then test the menu again. if the problem is still there, please try to activate the main theme as you may have some code in the child theme that could affect the header.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!

Hi,
I have checked your site and saw the error. It is caused by this banner ad here: http://screencast.com/t/dk2ERxaD
Please select a smaller size for your mobile ad from the theme panel ad settings.
Thank you!

Glad you figured it out. For more info on the mobile theme please consult this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Hi,
If you do not wish to use the mobile theme you can simply deactivate it from the plugins section.
Thank you!

Ups! My bad.

It seems it changes the newspaper font for the other icons as well. We need to be more specific with the css.
Try this one instead:
#td-top-mobile-toggle .td-icon-mobile:before{
content: ‘\f10c’;
}
#td-top-mobile-toggle [class^=”td-icon-“]:before, [class*=” td-icon-“]:before{
font-family: ‘fontawesome’;!important
}
You can add it in the theme panel. No need to alter style.css.

Thank you!
