Recently I’ve been having significant problems with mobile browsing. The hamburger menu opens but the items no longer appear, even if they are correctly set, and the top part of the site is black.
How can I solve it?
Thank you

Hi guys,

We’re having some issues with the newspaper pro templates.

1. The footer, we changed it. Problem is that it works on all pages. But only on the homepage and mobile view, it shows another or old version. On all other pages and screen sizes It works. We cannot find how to fix this.

2. The product images at woocommerce product pages are not shown as they should be. I’ve tried to use a new template from you but then it also does not work. The thumbnails are not working as it should. They are shown as big images below the main image.

3. At the archive / category pages we’re using a different layout on mobile. Quite simple with some changes at the CSS tab to show other blocks with different order. The tag div builder does show me the correct view. But when I check the page it’s not showing how it should be. How to solve this?

Hi,

Unfortunately, this feature is only for the mobile menu horizontally.

Thank you!

Hey. Hey,

I’m wondering if there is already a feature for this, e.g. for a post overview on mobile, or tags and such. Just whether this can do row, inner row, or how can I set this up?

Hi,

I don’t recommend using amp because it is deprecated -> https://developer.bigcommerce.com/docs/storefront/wordpress/platform-integration/enabling-amp, -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/amp-end-of-line/ so please also disable the mobile theme plugin.

Thank you!

Hi,

To do this, you need to create a page where you can add the menu login, menu, social icons, etc, and after setting the page ID in the modal popup, set the trigger to button, and add this element instead of the mobile menu https://forum.tagdiv.com/modal-popup/

Thank you!

Hello,

Did you have made a mobile page? If yes, please disable it from here -> https://i.imgur.com/w3eIOix.png
Using our theme, you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/ The option that you need to use.
Suppose you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer. In that case, when you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its templates for page, post, category, etc, so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY.
So, the mobile responsive is what you see when that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
The Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edit with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin cannot.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activated and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories pages/404 page, you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activated.
So, if you want to design the pages with tagDiv Composer, you can use the mobile page or mobile responsive version.

Thank you!

when you click on a main category link in the primary menu on my mobile, the drop down menu is being covered by the category menu link below it. How do I format the mobile menu differently?

Thank you so much for your prompt response.

Can you help us find a way to fix the mobile menu without using the ‘tagDiv Mobile Theme’ plugin or the ‘AMP Plugin’? We really like how our mobile site looks now and just want to sort out the menu issue. Everything else is fine.

Thanks & Regards

Hi,

I checked now, and the menu works on the website, but I noticed that you use a mobile theme plugin.

Hey,

The mobile menu worked fine for the first few days, but suddenly, it kind of stopped working. I mean, sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t. I have no idea why this is happening. Can you please suggest a way to solve this issue?

Hello there,

it is my understanding, that you can deliberately show or not show blocks in your template via the toggle button beside the name of the block (e.g. Flex Block 1, Big Grid Block etc.).

However this does not work in my up-to-date installation of Newspaper. I try to toggle blocks of in the mobile theme for better performance, yet the blocks are still visible.

How is it done or what could be wrong?

Kind regards

Hi,

Yes, if you no longer use the tagdiv Standard Pack, it can bring you improvements.
1 & 2 You need to use a custom code CSS

.entry-crumbs a, .entry-crumbs
{
color: #536aed;
font-size: 18px;
}
.td-post-sub-title
{
color: #536aed;
font-size: 18px;
}

3. You can change from theme panel -> translations -> translations
color with custom code .td-author-by {
color: #536aed;
font-size: 18px;
}

The code needs to be set in Theme Panel> Mobile Theme > Custom code> CSS.
Thank you!

Thanks, we disabled the Standard pack and were able to see the mobile post settings. As we are very old-time users of Newspaper theme on multiple websites of ours, we built this website with the standard pack. However, realised only 1-2 elements/blocks are on standard pack rest we have already updated to the new one.
Disabling the standard pack will improve website performance is what I read in one of your blog posts?

Few questions as we are trying to make the mobile theme better.

1) How can we change the font size and colour of the breadcrumbs on top of the article page?
2) How can we change the font size and colour of the subtitle under the headline/article title on the article page?
3) How Can we rename the “modified date” to “Last Updated”? And also how can we change its and “By Author” colours?

Hello,

Please delete the logo from theme panel, and assign it with tagdiv Composer https://i.imgur.com/bfPZEps.png https://i.imgur.com/EmzWCmI.jpg
For mobile please edit with tagDiv Composer, select the viewport on phone, select the header logo and change it => https://i.imgur.com/cR7F0v4.png https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXQQygkCCJo -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/add-logo-newspaper/ delete the text or svg code and insert your logo.

Thank you!

Hi,

You need to tagdiv Composer, select the viewport for phone, and add the element menu login in the mobile menu header.

Thank you!
